The unnamed FBI “Supervisory Intelligence Analyst” cited by the Justice Department's watchdog for failing to properly vet the so-called Steele dossier before it was used to justify spying on the Trump campaign teaches a class on the ethics of spying at a small Washington-area college, records show.
The senior FBI analyst, Brian J. Auten, has taught the course at Patrick Henry College since 2010, including the 11-month period in 2016 and 2017 when he and a counterintelligence team at FBI headquarters electronically monitored an adviser to the Trump campaign based on false rumors from the dossier and forged evidence.

FTA:
Auten appears to have violated his own stated “golden rule” for spying. A 15-year supervisor at the bureau, Auten has written that he teaches students in his national security class at the Purcellville, Va., college that the FBI applies “the least intrusive standard” when it considers surveilling U.S. citizens under investigation to avoid harm to “a subject’s reputation, dignity and privacy.”
We have worn out “outrageous”. Got a better word? This article will make your blood boil!

With all respect, this is a long article. There is much more than just the posted headline and intro. I know we have speed readers around, but I am troubled when Replies pop up so soon after a long detailed article has been posted. Just sayin'

It didn't take me long to determine that this guy Auten is one of Obama's RIGHT PEOPLE to sic on Trump.

The facts laid out in this article show absolutely conclusively that the FBI's efforts to illegally justify spying on Trump and Carter and to falsify the FISA requests were not due to sloppiness or laziness. This was a concerted effort to use the full force of the government against Trump with absolutely no effort to verify the allegations, and by ignoring blatant facts that contradict the claims.
Auten was a central bad guy. No question. Was he paid to do this, or was it ideological? Is he a mole for the Kremlin? Whatever. Try him for attempting to overthrow the President--TREASON! 30 Years at Leavenworth

I'm beginning to think the 16th century had it right for treatment of traitors.

When Patrick Henry College was started, it was supposed to teach true history and government, not some communized leftist propaganda. With that in mind, Brian Auten is a stain on the name and record of PHC. He has no business teaching there.

And we find yet ANOTHER corrupt, lying, cheating FBI agent with position and power who abused that power to try to "get Trump".
FTA:
"Auten also wasn’t concerned about Steele’s anti-Trump bias or that his work was commissioned by Trump’s political opponent, calling the fact he worked for Hillary Clinton's campaign “immaterial.” "
These people need to, at minimum, lose their pensions entirely and be forced out now. At least a couple dozen, probably closer to three dozen, deserve to rot in prison for a decade or two.

He saves the best for last:
FTA:
"“I worked with intel analysts all the time working counterintelligence investigations,” said former FBI Special Agent Michael Biasello, a 25-year veteran of the FBI who spent 10 years in counterintelligence. “This analyst’s work product was shoddy, and inasmuch as these FISA affidavits concerned a presidential campaign, the information he provided [to agents] should have been pristine.”
He suspects Auten was “hand-picked” by Comey or McCabe to work on the sensitive Trump case, which was tightly controlled within FBI headquarters."
Another corrupt, crooked, ethics-free FBI agent, apparently hand selected to work on this because McCabe and Comey knew he was corruptible, and would violate the law and violate ethics without hesitation.
Damn these people.
They deserve prison time, lots of it.

FTA: “Anyone in his position has tremendous access to information and is well-positioned to manipulate information if he wanted to do so,” said Chris Swecker, a 24-year veteran of the FBI who served as assistant director of its criminal investigative division, where he oversaw public corruption cases.
“Question is, was it deliberate manipulation or just rank incompetence?” he added. “How much was he influenced by McCabe, Page, Strzok and other people we know had a deep inherent bias?”
Tried not to scream out loud at this point.
If it is possible for anyone to have that degree of “rank incompetence”, and reach this man’s level of trust in the positions he held without once being questioned or challenged by the many who must surely have noticed, then there is indeed rot that goes much further than the leadership.
There is an obvious agenda.

FTA - under the picture of Carter Page:
Carter Page: Exculpatory evidence indicating that this former Trump aide was not the Russian asset the Steele dossier alleged, but was in fact a CIA asset, did not stop the FBI from continuing to use the dossier to spy on him.
Think that through a minute, and realize they OUTED a CIA operative. Now, where did we hear something similar to this that cause Democrats to be outraged? Valerie Plame.....

Patrick Henry College, sometimes referred to as God's Harvard because students have to have astronomical SAT's to be admitted, is a bastion of conservative thought. Their students are often courted to be congressional aides for conservative politicians. This is quite a surprise. An infiltration perhaps?

Auten was so brazen and arrogant in his flip responses to IG Horowitz...presumably under oath?...it is quite probable that this outrageous abuse of federal law and Bureau ethics was not the first time he so smugly satisfied his masters......

I do not read stories about 'ethicists' very often.
When I do, I usually find that the person, who is paid to 'determine' -to give an opinion- if something is 'ethical', is usually completely off-base, completely WRONG, .

'spying ethics' is a wonderful example of an oxymoron.
