According to the poll conducted by the Washington based thinktank the Democracy Institute, President Trump is neck and neck with his rival Joe Biden on 47 percent. However, Mr Trump would win in the electoral college system by 309 to 229 delegates because he is on course to win the crucial swing states including Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin where he outpolls Vice President Biden by 48 percent to 44 percent. The findings come as the US President went to the iconic Mount Rushmore to make a speech attacking “the angry mobs” who want to erase America’s history.

I hope it is true. But we need to continue to campaign hard. The "refs" (media) are trying to throw the game. I expect more tricks to try to drag ol' Joe past the finish line. Plus, we have to retake the House and keep the Senate, especially since the Republican leaders of the latter are doing nothing to maintain their majority.

"And of greater concern for the Democrats is that Mr Trump is still polling strong with ethnic minority voters – 35 percent for black voters and 34 percent for Hispanics." Thus the reason for the "grassroots" /S/ protests. The Dems cant win without 95% of the black vote. "While 77 percent of Trump voters are “enthusiastic” compared to 43 percent of Biden voters, 66 percent of Trump voters would not admit how they are voting to a friend or relative compared to just one third of Biden backers." I have yet to hear anyone gushing over Biden. His only "plus" is that he isnt Trump.

Black Lives Matter is an oxymoron. Since black lives do NOT matter to BLM, the whole thing is a farrago of nonsense. It is an excuse to burn, loot, and murder. The majority in this nation are not represented by the Lame Stream Media. The LSM represent a handful of extremely sensitive snowflakes, Harvard educated, who break down in tears when they are not agreed with. Trump speaks for many of us. He does not speak for the outraged militants who want a Communist Utopia. Why don't they just go to North Korea or China? And leave us alone!

Though I am not into counting my chickens too often, I think that people are fed up with DC, BLM and all the blue state terrorists masked as governors and mayors right now. They have been exposed for what they are, and if 1968 was any indication, this could be a blowout of epic proportions. But we have to say NO to mail in voting. Or we are just giving the WH to the democrats, possibly forever.

I think scribbling "BLACK LIVES MATTER" in Manhattan and also in front of the White House was one of the biggest mistakes the Dems have made. First of all, it was so Junior High to do such a thing. Secondly, the Business owners in Manhattan are furious already with the Mayor for not protecting their property. Now he spends money painting the street where they are trying to re-open their Businesses. They know they are not going to bring back the customers they are used to with writing such as that in front of their stores! The average person, like me, is watching. We see these Democrat Mayors kissing the Rear Ends of the Thugs and Ringleaders who are involved in the Looting and Burning of Stores. We see the mayors doing NOTHING to save the businesses. Nothing! Of course Trump is going to win. Does anyone really think Biden would do more than those Democrat Mayors? No Way! He would let them run rampant, looting and burning. We see what is happening and we want Trump to Stop it! If he has to call in the Guard, and clash with the Governors, we would applaud him! He has common sense. It's WHY we elected him and why we will do it again!

Only a moron would think that rampant anarchy by avowed Marxists and the Democrat party's surrender to the socialists would make people want to vote for more. The rush to buy guns is a big clue - people fear what might be coming in a Biden administration. Every new gun purchaser is a possible vote for PDJT.

This election is not just for the White House. We must keep control of the senate (Need 54 with the R-label to make up for the RINO's from Maine, Utah, and Alaska), and take a majority of the House so we don't have to put up with Pelosi and her cronies. Then, save the country by passing sensible immigration laws and require voter ID for federal elections. Without complete majority, these needed laws will not be passed.

I agree with #14 and #18. I was in HS in '68 and I clearly remember that people were very, very sick of the violence and burning. And I lived in a small town in a low population part of Florida at the time, but people were not interested in hearing from people setting fires and looting. People want a sane, lawful, orderly society, and the Dems are supporting ("selling") anarchy, chaos, violence, fires and looting. That will not sell with many. Even with Wallace taking 5 states that would have gone for Nixon, Nixon got 301 Electoral College votes to 191 for Humphrey, and Wallace with 46. If Wallace's votes had gone to Nixon, he would have been at 347, well short of Reagan's 1984 record of 525 EC votes.

There are plenty of BLM masks going round but how many do you know that will wear a MAGA hat in public or to work? As we get into high summer, there must be a very large number of Americans now actively considering whether the country is going mad. The leading newspaper in the nation’s capital has accused the president of plumbing “new depths of depravity” in a perfectly unexceptionable and soaringly eloquent speech at Mount Rushmore last Friday. Praising the American revolutionary ideal that “all men are created equal” and its reaffirmation by Abraham Lincoln in the Civil War that brought about the abolition of slavery somehow made Donald Trump “dark” and “divisive.” The president deplored academic and national media self-hate and espoused the highest objectives identified and pursued by every admired American leader

Lucian Truscott is the sixth-generation great-grandson of Thomas Jefferson. Truscott seems to think his family history (being a direct descendant of the author of the Declaration of Independence and the third U.S. president) gives him all credibility to call for the Jefferson Memorial to be removed. Truscott contends “we don’t need” the monument. Monticello is enough because it emphasizes “his moral failings in full.” The Jefferson Memorial, by contrast, stands as a false “shrine to freedom.” And Truscott, as a descendant of Jefferson, clearly thinks he has full and unique authority to call for its removal.

Presidential elections are typically contests between politicians with unambiguously positive views of the United States and competing ideas about how to improve it. This year, however, we must choose between two people with competing perspectives about whether a positive view of our country is even possible. President Trump believes the United States is a great nation founded by great men upon whose work we can build an even greater future. His challenger, former Vice President Joe Biden, believes the United States has fallen far short of the ostensible principles of its hypocritical founders and that the only way forward is to fundamentally transform it according to some

The reaction to Trump’s Rushmore speech was unhinged. Never before has a speech extolling America’s virtues and the marvels or the nation’s heroes played to such poor — and completely dishonest — reviews. At Mount Rushmore on Friday night, President Trump gave a speech that was very tough on the woke Left, while largely celebrating America — its Founders, its ideals and freedom, its capacity for self-renewal, its astonishing variety of geniuses, adventurers, warriors, inventors, and great musicians and athletes. Then, his speech ended, and the press piled on with one of its most its unhinged and dishonest performances of his presidency, which is saying something.

There is no epidemic of fatal police shootings against unarmed Black Americans Ideally officers would never need to take anyone's life. But the data on police killings doesn't support reducing or abolishing law enforcement. Heather Mac DonaldOpinion contributor The video of George Floyd’s tragic death under the knee of a Minneapolis police officer has led many to ask whether it represents the tip of an iceberg of police brutality. For centuries, United States law enforcement was interwoven with slavery and segregation, and that memory cannot be easily erased. Donald Trump did not mention Lincoln’s First Inaugural address in his speech commemorating the spirit of American Independence at Mount Rushmore on Friday night. But the president’s speech—perhaps his most forceful and eloquent to date—vibrated with the same energy and existential commitment that fired Lincoln in March 1861. Lincoln came to office at a time of crisis. His election had precipitated the secession of seven Southern states. His inaugural address was both a plea for conciliation and unity as well as a warning that violence would be stopped with force. “We are not enemies, but friends,” Lincoln said.
