When Sen. Bob Dole accepted the Republican nomination for president in 1996, his speech hit on the themes of “honor, decency and straight talk.” He proudly mentioned the great Republican Abraham Lincoln and explicitly denounced racism.(Snip)The speech was held up in 2016 as an example of how wonderful Republican candidates for president used to be before Donald Trump. So it’s interesting to also look back at how this speech was received by its critics. For example, then-Senior White House Adviser George Stephanopoulos called it “partisan, negative and divisive.”Fast-forward 24 years to the present. Once again a prominent Republican gives a speech with themes of honor and decency and straight talk.

They do not report what was said or done, so those who didn’t listen to or view the original, get the media’s skewed partisan version. The lies. What to do?
FTA:
People who care about facts and truth must remember to seek out original sources rather than trust mendacious reporters and media outlets. They must be on guard about the propaganda these outlets will be putting forth in the months to come as they become emboldened. And they must take every opportunity to renounce the spreading of falsehoods by people who purport to be in a business of reporting facts.
View or record the President’s speeches. If unable to do that, we can usually find videos at Conservative Treehouse, where it is also possible to watch them live-streaming on our computers.
For those who whine about the President’s tweets - his own thoughts in his own words - consider this article the next time you are tempted to criticize him.

Thank you, #1, you saved commenting on the same piece with Mrs. Hemingway's important comment about original sources. So often, the original source tells a far different story than the media reports.
I found this to be memorable, too.
"The Republican [Trump] praises Andrew Jackson, Ulysses S. Grant, Frederick Douglass, the Wright Brothers, the Tuskegee Airmen, Harriet Tubman, Clara Barton, Jesse Owens, George Patton, Louie Armstrong, Alan Shepard, Elvis Presley, Muhammad Ali, Walt Whitman, Mark Twain, Irving Berlin, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, and Bob Hope.
And once again critics claim that the speech is “dark and divisive.”
The Enemedia are dark and divisive, every day, all day.

Of the President's list of famous names, I count 13 whites and 7 blacks....although "the Tuskegee Airmen" represents more than 900 black aviators from WW2, so I suppose it could be 939 to 13.
The President wasn't short changing important black contributors, clearly, and the reports were absolutely fraudulent, pure lies.
Brit Hume said, "I have rarely seen such biased and misleading coverage.", when commenting on the reports on the President's Mt. Rushmore speech.
The Enemedia.

Little Georgie has a bunch of skeletons in his closet. Like his admission he was friends with Epstein and dined in NYC with him after his release from prison. Trump needs to do some fanny kicking in his DOJ, for they are not serving him or the nation well.
One could add the doom and gloom crowd into this as well. They pretty much avoid what #1 suggests, seeking the original statements and stories, preferring to push their own personal and cherry picked agenda. It is getting bad out there, and Lucianne and maybe two other sites are about the only places I go now, for I cannot stand the brazen lying.

"the media invented facts to defame conservatives and the president" showing their desperation as they are sliding off the cliff.
"They must be on guard about the propaganda these outlets will be putting forth in the months to come as they become emboldened." And terrified that they are going to lose again and there is nothing they can do to stop it. Further, their nemesis, Trump, is not going to be hamstrung by a phony Russian collusion investigation or a fraudulent impeachment charge this time around. A lot of their Deep State agents have been driven out. The courts are more conservative to fight off liberal challenges. Considering all Trump accomplished while dealing with these insanities, image what he can do during his next 4 years. That is the terror the dwindling Leftist media faces as well as their lack of capability to do anything about it.
None of this excuses their terrible behavior but terrified people are capable of doing anything.

This time the speech was called “dark and divisive”. Pretty much the same players lead by little Georgie. The photo with the article is of ugly Martha Raddatz.
