Before Thursday morning I had not heard of Thomas Bosco, and I am willing to bet you haven't heard of him either. He runs a café in Upper Manhattan. From the picture in the New York Times, the Indian Road Café is one of those Bobo-friendly brick-lined coffee shops with chalkboard menus affixed to the wall behind the counter and a small stage for down-on-their-luck musicians to warble a few bars of "Fast Car" as you sip on a no-foam latte while editing a diversity training manual. It looks pleasant enough.

The amusing thing about this process is that the Left is eating a lot of its own. As the need to find and attack ever more victims increases, they are running out of Republicans because the cancel culture is located in cities and there are far more liberals there. The critical mass of liberals needed to act like this only happens when the fuel for it is also mostly liberals.
As pointed out, for those liberals not so extreme, it becomes scary as they and their friends become the hunted. All of a sudden, the extremists are a threat and their radical agenda seems less appealing. Some may come to the conclusion that a Country without law and order is not a good idea after all and that perhaps issues should be discussed, not rioted over. Some in the cities have already realized that THEY are the ones getting damaged over the issues they might be concerned about. That seems wrong. Will they vote in support in support of continued riots?
Maybe such people will sit on their hands and not vote in disgust for the whole mess. Maybe they will vote for Trump. Either way works.

In case you haven't figured it out yet, the grammatically incorrect self-characterization, "woke," is a euphemism for "insane." These people who are so filled with rage that they feel compelled to destroy the lives of people who simply disagree with their political views and lifestyles should not be allowed to use sharp objects, or even more dangerously, occupy any political office.
Unfortunately, about half the country is now afflicted with wokeness. So there are too many of them to put into asylums. However, if they keep trying to do that very thing to the rest of us, we may yet have to put them down as we would any domestic animal foaming at the mouth every time they encounter us in the streets.

So this is to me an indication that a new theory of mine may have legs. I believe there may be a Silent Minority among lifelong democrats that is afraid to speak out and lies on political polls. Plumbers, builders, shop owners, etc. who hold traditional American Values, Family Values and atternd church services who won't vote for our Nation's destruction. Easily 10-15% nationwide.

Reminds me a bit of islam Oh, sure, you're allowed to join up freely enough. But if you leave, you're apostate and they'll kill you.
Liberals. So open, so tolerant. So willing to cut your economic throat if you disagree.
This kind of stuff silences conservatives. It does it in churches, schools, the government, and work. It says that there is only One Way and there's NO discussion about it. Taken a bit further, they're tear down your statue. It's wrong and needs to stop.
Poor guy.

This whole "woke" thing feels like a drunken wedding party that starts out with the bride's family and the groom's family going at each other's throats but by the time the morning hangovers are doused with aspirin, everybody hates everybody, including their own side. There will be no recovery from the bitter and senseless battles and destruction that have taken place and the initial cause of racism will still be an unsolved problem on both sides, only worse.

May I remind us all again that the left continues to call us “haters”. They clearly are the haters in this world. Makes you realize the projection of the left. Listening to the Biden commercials on TV down here where he says he would never divide us - when that is all he does.

I always thought the term "woke" came from inner city jive talk. So isn't your use of the term racist, lefties?

It's like the old witchcraft trials. Liberals would be burning us at the stake if they didn't believe the flames from the bonfire would make the polar ice caps melt.

I thought the word 'woke' was the stepchild of Maxime Waters the fanatical rabble rouser who wanted to attack Republicans in public places meaning followers needed to 'get woke' she meant wake up and be stupid. The term is a bit tiring and overused in writings like the term 'Karen' my wife Karen hates that one too.

FTA: "And when the winds of woke start to blow, millions of Americans find that there is one way left for them to oppose political correctness: pulling the lever for the man in the White House."
There are other ways, messier, but more effective in the long run.

Nice piece by MC. The whole world's lost its head. Our neighborhood has a covenant prohibiting political signs. Some of the younger people are losing it because they claim that their first amendment rights have been infringed. The covenant is a good one. If you put out a Trump sign it would be vandalized or stolen. If you put out a BLM sign you would be announcing to the neighborhood that you're an idiot who doesn't read (and, hence, doesn't know that behind an innocuous title lies a radical Marxist organization). Please, I don't want to know how stupid my neighbors are. As to NYC . . . I already know how stupid the voters are there. Just one word: deBlasio.
