An entire SWAT team in Hallandale Beach, Florida resigned on Friday in response to Police Chief Sonia Quinones kneeling with Black Lives Matter protesters. The police chief scheduled a meeting for Monday with the officers who resigned to hear their complaints. The Cathedral of the Rockies installed stained-glass windows for its then-new building in downtown Boise in 1960. Church documents show that the window, featuring Lee standing with Presidents Abraham Lincoln and George Washington, was meant as an “inclusive nod to Southerners who have settled in Boise,” said the Rev. Federal health officials announced a final rule Friday scrapping an Obama-era regulation that forced medical workers to perform abortions despite their religious beliefs.
The Obama administration’s 2016 regulation, already vacated by a court ruling, also redefined sex-based discrimination in health care to include questions of gender identity.
The old rule would have imposed nearly $3 billion in costs on the economy, the Department of Health and Human Services said in announcing the change. Prompted by the Affordable Care Act, popularly known as Obamacare, the rule had not been implemented after being halted in court.

A woman in Atlanta reportedly died after getting trapped in a clothing donations box.
Local police believe the 26-year-old victim was attempting to retrieve clothes in the metal container located behind a tavern in the Midtown area late Wednesday night, according to the local Fox affiliate.
The owner of the establishment called the police after he found the woman, unconscious, with her arm and head stuck inside, police said.
“The victim used a chair to climb inside the clothing dispensary to retrieve clothing, somehow lost her footing and was entrapped inside of the metal box,” Atlanta Police Capt. F. Turner told Fox5 Atlanta.

The two soldiers from South Carolina were staying at the Marriott Marquis during their stay in the capital when they ordered the pie using Uber Eats, the Post and Courier reported, citing a Defense Department report.
They did not bite into the pizza and no other service members received a similar item, according to the news outlet.

Restaurants in Asbury Park, New Jersey are clear to resume indoor dining starting Monday, city officials have ruled — in defiance of Garden State Gov. Phil Murphy’s coronavirus shutdown.
“We believe indoor restaurants can run in a safe manner provided they are subject to all the requirements outlined in Executive Order 152,” said Deputy Mayor Amy Quinn, according to The Asbury Park Press.
A City Council vote in favor of the move was first reported by The Coaster, a local outlet.
Under Murphy’s order, outdoor dining can resume on Monday, but indoor dining remains a no-go.

As dozens of cities crawl from the wreckage of social media-generated rioting against supposedly pervasive white racism and police brutality, self-styled advocates for social justice are retooling a familiar campaign. They’re demanding financial reparations for slavery and its after-effects, payable from whites to blacks, in the trillions of dollars. This would promote equality, atonement and “healing.”
Don’t believe them. Calls for reparations go back many decades. The core assumption has been the same from the start: Living whites must make amends to living blacks by emptying their pockets, preferably with the federal government overseeing the transfers.
Whenever Democrats push race to the forefront of the news, reparations pop up. The theory is that, because their forebearers were kidnapped from Africa and enslaved in America, blacks will never catch up economically to whites. It doesn’t matter that there are no slaves or slaveowners today; that most whites are not descended from slaveowners; or that racism impoverished, rather than enriched the South.
