One of Boise’s largest churches is removing a controversial reminder of Idaho’s connections to the Confederacy — a stained-glass window featuring Confederate General Robert E. Lee.
The Cathedral of the Rockies installed stained-glass windows for its then-new building in downtown Boise in 1960. Church documents show that the window, featuring Lee standing with Presidents Abraham Lincoln and George Washington, was meant as an “inclusive nod to Southerners who have settled in Boise,” said the Rev. Duane Anders, senior pastor.
“Clearly, white Southerners,” Anders said.

Meanwhile after removing their Lee window the Duke chapel still has a portrait of Satan in one of their stained glass windows.

Maybe it's time for some history lessons. We are told that "sexual depravity" has been with us from the beginning and quite pervasive, therefore it should be normalized. Well how long had slavery existed prior to 19th Century America's version? Now, even reasonable voices claim the Rebels were traitors, fomenting revolution, just because they wanted to own Africans (sold to them by other Africans, especially North Africans of the Muslim persuasion). The South did not want the rest of the Nation, but to be left alone. In spite of the 10th Amendment, the Man at the time had a better idea.
As the democrats have been blamed, by reasonable voices for all that sedition, surely we must believe they would eventually become woke, repent, free the Slaves and capitalize on slogans like Black Lives Matter. How do you like how you are being governed now? Are the patriots waiting for the Military to be put back in the hands of people like the Clintons, Obamas, Holders et al? Good luck with that!

The end of the civil war was a time for reconciliation, which began with the generous terms of Lee’s surrender. The nation lost 600,000 soldiers in those battles (1.5% of the population) over differing ideals of what America should be. About 500,000 lived onwith scars, loss of limbs, and worse for decades afterwards. Reconciliation included a full return to citizenship, an honoring of troops and leaders from both sides of the conflict, and extensive reconstruction. There is no justification in undoing the hard work of reconciliation of our fathers

There's a Confederate icon in Idaho? Who knew? I wasn't aware Idaho was part of the Confederacy?

Looked at the church's website. I did not see "We Preach Christ Crucified" anywhere on their web page! Just a Black Lives Matter and We apologize for racism... All one needs to know about this "church"...

If a church believes ANTIFA, they will fall for anything. A church, no less! Okay. Don't worry about the End Times for them; looks like the beast and the anti-christ already have them sewed up already. Nothing to see here. Move on.

Boise seems to have a progressive problem, even with
some (so called churches). But then anywhere will a
university is a invested den of vipers.

They blocked the view with a giant banner, which reads, "WE REPENT." For 80 years, Jews have tried to PRESERVE memories of the abhorrent treatment they received at the hands of the Nazis. You would think that advocates of civil rights would be doing the same thing, with a regrettable slice of OUR history... but instead they seem to want us to forget all about it.
