Democrats' Campus Voting Plea Gets a Judicial Smackdown

Democrats push hard for every possible advantage in elections, but courts sometimes draw a line. The College Democrats of North Carolina argued that without on-campus sites, students would need to travel off campus to vote, imposing time and transportation burdens on young voters. U.S. District Judge William L. Osteen Jr. delivered a ruling that defined those lines by rejecting a Democratic demand for early voting sites on three North Carolina university campuses. His ruling carried an unmistakable tone of impatience toward a case that tried to dress political convenience as constitutional necessity.

Two Los Angeles County supervisors are backing a new tax hike on residents that would spike the cost of almost everything — including shopping, dining out and other everyday purchases across the county. Supervisors Hilda Solis and Holly Mitchell are pushing a half-cent sales tax they say would help counter looming federal health care funding cuts that threaten Medi-Cal services. But because the tax would apply to retail sales and restaurant purchases, it was quickly trashed by opponents who say it raises prices for families regardless of whether they use affected health care services.

The uproar over the Trump video tells you more about the left’s narrative machine than it does about what actually happened. What they want you to see is “Trump posts racist monkey video about the Obamas.” What they do not want you to see is context, intent, or basic honesty about how the clip ended up on his Truth Social feed in the first place. Let’s get something out of the way: the post should never have been made, and whoever was responsible was careless for not previewing the entire video first. The original post from Trump’s Truth Social account was about voter fraud and election integrity, not about the Obamas.

Freestyle skier Hunter Hess took his opportunity on the world stage to diss America, the country he’s representing, saying it was "a little hard” to be the face of his nation because of President Donald Trump’s efforts to clean up the illegal alien mess left to him by former President Joe Biden. Trump had some hard words for this unpatriotic athlete, saying in a Sunday social media post that it was a big ask to root for someone like this: Trump, never one to mince words, came down hard on the apparently anti-American skier:

A high-ranking immigration official committed an unforgivable betrayal of his personnel and is paying the price. As Fox News reported , the Department of Homeland Security announced they had fired a senior Customs and Border Protection official on Thursday for leaking sensitive, personal information about CBP personnel to the corporate media. The CBP official also allegedly leaked details of negotiations over the border wall to the press. A DHS spokesperson called the official’s conduct “abhorrently dangerous” during an interview with Fox News.

Republicans are heading into the midterms with a huge advantage — a strong economy that is finally working for American families. Under President Trump and a GOP Congress, growth is up, inflation is down, wages are rising, and businesses are investing again. After years of economic pain, Americans are starting to feel real relief. Yet, too many Republicans are failing to make the case. As Larry Kudlow recently said on X: “The GOP needs to tout the red-hot economy at every campaign stop. There’s a business boom, a productivity boom, and Trump Accounts and wages are outstripping inflation.

The two deaths during ICE operations in January have led to an inundation of left-wing outrage to begin the new year. Thankfully, however, the amount of screen time allotted to America’s vocal minority is not indicative of how successfully — or unsuccessfully — any given issue is being handled. When it comes to illegal immigration, President Trump has, perhaps unsurprisingly, quelled the issue while exhibiting mastery in responding to pushback, just over one year into his second term.

President Trump has always understood a truth that much of Washington either ignores or refuses to confront. Nations do not endure on rhetoric alone. They endure because they raise strong families, cultivate capable citizens, and think beyond the next election cycle. The twin initiatives announced recently, Trump Accounts and TrumpRx, should be understood through that lens. Together, they represent a domestic strategy aimed not merely at governing the present moment, but at securing the future of the country itself.

Respect is nothing more than an abstraction until somebody refuses to show it; that's when symbols clarify moments. Flags matter because they represent authority, sacrifice, and ownership. The World Health Organization (WHO) crossed that line when it decided to keep the United States' flag after President Donald Trump withdrew from the organization. That decision led to a rare action on the world's political stage: Somebody acted. President Trump pulled the U.S. out of the WHO because of decades of mismanagement, compliance with hostile governments, and repeated failures during global health scares. There are consequences resulting from the withdrawal: legal, diplomatic, and symbolic.

During a special Thursday evening Founders Roundtable with Breitbart Fight Club, #1 New York Times bestselling investigative journalist and Breitbart News Senior Contributor Peter Schweizer said China is exploiting birthright citizenship policies around the globe to exert control, an issue he elaborates on in his latest book, The Invisible Coup: How American Elites and Foreign Powers Use Immigration as a Weapon. Among other revelations in The Invisible Coup, Schweizer said the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is actively involved in encouraging its nationals to gain American citizenship through America’s birthright citizenship policy that allows the U.S.-born—

The problem was the show’s conceit: It was a message of unity, inclusion, and togetherness — in a language that 85% of the population doesn’t understand and cannot speak. That’s not unity. That’s division. Lo siento, Bad Bunny and/or the NFL, but the underlying metrics of the NFL’s Super Bowl halftime show didn’t make a lick of sense: Only about 14% to 18% of the U.S. population speaks fluent Spanish — which means, of course, that 86% to 82% do not. Only 14% of the NFL’s total audience is Hispanic. The number of Latinos/Hispanics who speak English exclusively is growing, not shrinking:

Donald Trump has called Bad Bunny's all-Spanish Super Bowl halftime show 'one of the worst ever' and a 'slap in the face' to America. The US President said the rapper's gig was 'absolutely terrible' and that there was 'nothing inspirational' about choosing a star who didn't perform in English. Mr Trump was also deeply unhappy about some of the suggestive dancing because the Puerto Rican artist repeatedly grabbed his crotch and there were women twerking on stage (snip) ''It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn't represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence'.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — The Seattle Seahawks used a dominant defense and the strong running of game MVP Kenneth Walker III on Sunday to crush the New England Patriots 29-13 in Super Bowl LX. It was the Seahawks’ second Super Bowl title in four appearances. It came 12 years after Seattle defeated Denver 43-8 in Super Bowl XLVIII -- a fitting nod to the 12th man that has fueled the energy at Seahawks’ home games. The game, before 70,823 fans at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, showcased a punishing, opportunistic defense by the Seahawks that rendered Patriots quarterback Drake Maye mostly ineffective all night.

A radical left-wing group in Los Angeles has published a shocking 40-page roadmap to transform the nation’s second-largest city into a bizarre socialist experiment. The Democratic Socialists of America’s LA chapter wants to straight-up seize private property through a “creative use of eminent domain,” take control of your neighborhood grocery store, and replace cops with unarmed social workers while shutting down jails. Their Communist fever dream wishlist includes banning Airbnbs, grabbing golf courses for public housing, allowing non-citizen immigrants to vote in local elections, enforce a school curriculum that supports social justice and eliminating all fossil fuel use by 2035. The 3,500 member group has already helped elect several candidates

The worst-case scenario for Olympian Lindsey Vonn came just seconds into the women's downhill final in Cortina, Italy, on Sunday afternoon. Vonn's body struck a gate as she made her first big jump less than 13 seconds into her run, altering her momentum and direction, prompting a scary crash as she flung sideways and bombed out. The race was on hold for more than 20 minutes as Vonn was tended to on the course. The scene at Tofane Alpine Skiing Centre was eerily quiet, as thousands at the bottom of the mountain, including Vonn's family, were left stunned and largely speechless.

He argued that city agencies must operate in a unified manner and said religious leaders are essential partners in reaching immigrant populations across New York City.

The attention of those less politically minded is focused on the disappearance of Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy -- always fodder for the would-be Colombos and Miss Marples -- and the Olympics. Yet this week saw some victories for the administration along with some serious unfinished business. The ousted dictator Nicolás Maduro seems isolated, depressed, and devoid of funds sufficient to hire teams of lawyers to defend him. Any claims he might have for immunity seem destined to fail. The evidence establishes he was born in Colombia; his claim falls because only a native Venezuelan is entitled to hold the office of president.
