Almost as quickly as Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese could pretend not to notice who shot up Bondi Beach on Sunday — a horrific act of Islamic terror against local Jews during Chanukah — the Labor leader announced swift action to insure that such an attack could never happen again. What swift action might that be?" I can hear you ask. "Roll up the ISIS cell in Sydney that apparently everybody knew about? Expel unassimilated foreigners? Teach Australian police to, I don't know, shoot back right away instead of standing around with their thumbs up their you-know-whats?"
Nah. According to Albanese, what Australia really needs is more gun laws.

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., called those concerned about whether she married her brother “sick” after the far-left lawmaker was approached by Fox News Digital about border czar Tom Homan, signaling that federal officials have started digging into records pertaining to the matter.
Homan said last week that records and files related to Omar’s potential immigration fraud were being pulled and looked at after President Donald Trump revived the years-old scandal amid an ongoing debate over the Somali Medicaid fraud scandal taking place in Omar’s state of Minnesota.
While Homan suggested that fraud likely took place, he also signaled that the crime’s statute of limitations could present a problem when it comes

Now that we’re firmly in December, I can comfortably drive around in the truck with Jimmy Durante’s gravelly crooning of Frosty the Snowman for the eighteen-millionth time in my life, rather than tune into what passes for talk radio these days. To be sure, I’ll even turn up The Chipmunks—poor old Alvin being screamed at by Dave—before I switch over to the local AM station carrying Clay and Buck, or, God help me, Sean Hannity.

Slain Hollywood icon Rob Reiner and his wife were found with their throats slit — with their daughter telling cops that a “dangerous” relative should be a suspect, according to a report Monday.
The legendary director and his wife of 36 years, Michele Singer Reiner, were found Sunday afternoon by their daughter, Romy — who immediately told cops the killer was another family member, TMZ reported.
Their horrified daughter quickly told investigators that a relative “should be a suspect” because they’re “dangerous,” sources told the outlet, suggesting it came during a heated argument.

The Obamas were supposed to meet with director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele, the night they were allegedly killed by their son, Nick Reiner, in their home in Los Angeles. “We were supposed to be seeing them that night — last night — and we got the news,” Michelle Obama said on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Monday night, when host Jimmy Kimmel asked how she was coping with the news of her friends’ murders.
The former first lady said she and her husband were devastated when they learned that the legendary filmmaker and his wife, with whom they had been friends for “many, many years,” had been killed.

There is a full-blown constitutional mess brewing over James Comey, and at the center of it is a Clinton-appointed judge ordering the FBI to destroy key email evidence tied directly to the obstruction case against him. This is not just another technical fight over discovery rules. This is a rogue judge stepping in to shield one of the left’s favorite anti-Trump heroes from accountability.
James Comey was charged with lying to Congress and obstructing its investigation into the Russiagate hoax. Central to the case are his messages with Daniel Richman, a Columbia Law professor and former government contractor, who acted as a conduit for information about Trump.

Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) said the Brown University shooting was a result of President Donald Trump’s “dizzying campaign to increase violence in this country.”
Murphy said, “If you look at states like Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, California that have stronger laws, we have gun violence rates, murder rates, mass shooting rates that are two to 3 to 4 times lower than states that have loose gun laws. And many of the weapons that are used in our states for gun crimes come to our states from those states that have an ability for criminals and people with serious mental illness to buy weapons.

President Trump lodged an eye-watering $10 billion lawsuit against the BBC on Monday, accusing the British broadcaster of defaming him through a deceptive edit of his Jan. 6, 2021, speech at the White House Ellipse.
The lawsuit took aim at a 2024 documentary by the BBC, which spliced different sections of Trump’s comments before his supporters ransacked the Capitol to make it appear as though he explicitly encouraged the riot.
“I’m suing the BBC for putting words in my mouth, literally,” Trump grumbled to reporters earlier in the day, Monday. “They actually put terrible words in my mouth having to do with January 6th that I didn’t say.”

On July 13, 2023, Mohamad Barakat, a Syrian refugee, packed up several rifles and handguns 1,800 rounds of ammo, a hand grenade, and a car filled with gas cans on the way to carry out an Islamic terrorist attack at Fargo’s Downtown Street fair aiming to kill thousands of Americans. Instead the terror refugee got into a confrontation with police and died in an exchange of fire.
North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley insisted that there was ‘no evidence of political, racial or religious motivation’. “At this point it seems [no] more notable that he’s Muslim than I’m Lutheran,” he bafflingly argued. He also dismissed footage of Mohamad holding a Koran.

Where are all these mysterious "right-wing extremists" the left loves to yap about? This talking point seems to come out every time there's a terrorist attack or mass murder event, and the perp, when identified, is never a "right-wing extremist." Case in point: The jihadi attackers in the infamous Bondi Beach attack; their motivation isn't hard to work out, but in a statement about that event, Australia's Labor Party Prime Minister Anthony Albanese had to trot out that old bugaboo. (Snip) Now, I'm willing to concede that the prime minister may have simply been reacting to a comment from someone else, but this happens so often

If a single person from the Biden administration deserves sustained scrutiny, Alejandro Mayorkas sits at the top of the list. As Secretary of Homeland Security, he presided over the most chaotic period at the southern border in modern American history. It's not even close. There were record crossings, overwhelmed cities, and steeply climbing fentanyl deaths, thriving cartels, all with governors begging for help. Yet as the Trump administration continues to settle back in power, Mayorkas has barely been mentioned: When was the last time you heard his name mentioned? Silence follows a man whose fingerprints are all over a still-broken — but rapidly repairing — system.
