Keep Obamacare on life support while you
get it replaced

It’s an imperfect solution, but Republicans likely need to do a temporary extension of Obamacare subsidies while they get fixes up and running. This week, the House passed a bill full of vital health-insurance reforms (the Lower Health Care Premiums for All Americans Act), but several GOP moderates also end-ran Speaker Mike Johnson to keep alive hope of some bipartisan deal that would extend the COVID-era subsidies that make the existing system affordable for middle-class Americans who have no better choice as the law now stands.

Remember: Chief Justice John Roberts changed the Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate into a tax and thus rescued President Obama’s signature legislation. He illegally instituted a tax which SHOULD have required Congress to do so. "Article I, Section 7, Clause 1 says: “All bills for raising revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with amendments as on other bills.”

I would love to know what they have on John Roberts he pulled a stunt with Obamacare. There was a furor from the left while the decision was in the court and then suddenly as if by magic things calmed down and it was no longer the issue of the day..that is when I told my wife ..its a done deal.

No to "life support"... because that will be the path to UK-style single-payer nationalized healthcare the next time a Democrat occupies the Oval Office with a compliant Congress. Better to get rid government involvement in health insurance altogether and give the markets time to stabilize before the political winds change and give us the UK NHS on steroids.

Surely we can provide decent health care for the fourteen percent of the population that uses Obamacare without making insurance companies and the medical community super rich in the process. Once they got subsidies out of the taxpayers they knew that they could balloon the rates sky high because we couldn't do a damned thing to stop them. That fourteen percent is also comprised of the most obese, addicted and sedentary chunk of the US population. You know who you are.

The vote to bring the bill to keep subsidizing Obamacare at 90% for three more years only guarantees it will take that long to do anything to correct this waste. One year is enough time to correct this if people are not willfully obstructing the corrections. Agreeing to three more years of doing nothing is a stab in the back by the four Rinos.

The Democratic Party’s principal fundraising committee saw donations slump in the second-to-last month of the year, recording just a $12 million campaign war chest and almost $16 million still in debt due to a loan taken out the previous month, Federal Election Commission filings show. The fundraising doldrums come amid party infighting over whether to release a 2024 autopsy report on the failed Biden-Harris campaign and pressure ahead of the critical 2026 midterms, in which Democrats want to retake Congress. The Democratic National Committee listed a little more than $12.6 million cash on hand, $10.7 million raised,

The US Department of State, under the direction of Marco Rubio, has taken a rare and decisive step against European political figures accused of acting against American interests, barring several prominent individuals who’ve sought to censor free and open dialogue on American platforms. The bold move signals a sharp and definitive break from years of deference—and even subservience—to Brussels’ ever-increasing, draconian regulatory ambitions. Secretary of State Marco Rubio rightly framed the action as a defense of American free speech against what he described as organized, ideological pressure from abroad. He made it crystal clear that the era of tolerating overseas attempts to silence U.S. voices and American positions is over.

“Intersectionality” is the mother’s milk of the anti-American, anti-capitalist and anti-Western ideologues who have been ramping up their violence this year. But few Americans are focusing on this threat — just look at the sparse coverage of the recently indicted Turtle Island Liberation Front. On Tuesday, a bombshell grand-jury indictment alleged that the group plotted to use “weapons of mass destruction” to “completely pulverize” tech companies and other targets. That means we’d better start paying attention — because intersectionality fuels the coalition of leftists, anarchists and Islamists intent on tearing down our country.

Bondi Beach, a massacre allegedly committed by two Muslims (father and son), is only the latest example. San Bernardino, California was the scene of a similar massacre by two Muslims (husband and wife). Nineteen Muslims, backed up by the wealth of other Muslims, gave us 9/11. Only Islam commands its followers to “kill the infidels.”
