It's Time to Call Out Tucker Carlson

Original Article

After doing my best to ignore the latest Tucker Carlson saga, I find I must say something. "Go the hell away," for starters. I'd said pretty much everything I thought I'd ever need to say about Carlson early last year, following his context-free interview with Palestinian Authority propagandist Reverend Munther Isaac. So when the current brouhaha broke out over his kid-glove treatment of neo-Nazi Nick Fuentes, I did my best to ignore it. Yes, even though Fuentes is the guy who rants that "Jews are running society" and that women and blacks should be silenced or imprisoned.

Your thoughts, comments, and ideas are always welcome here. But we ask you to please be mindful and respectful. Threatening or crude language doesn't persuade anybody and makes the conversation less enjoyable for fellow L.Dotters.

Tucker made two fatal mistakes. He didn't fall to his knees and worship Israel, and he didnt say what his republican owners told him to. That means all the party knives will be out for him. I'm seeing fewer and fewer differences between the parties lately.

Long ago, when he was still on Fox, it became clear to me that Carlson was an attention whore, not any sort of a committed ideologue. He can believe in anything, because he actually believes in nothing.

I like Carlson but he is imploding by joining the rabid anti-Israel crowd. The real threat is from Islamists, and Israel in o the front line battling them.

Sorry, not going to cancel Tucker Carlson for talking to people I disagree with. I'm smart enough to decide who I agree with without Mr. Green giving me the low down on what questions should be asked. I say go ahead and give them a platform, maybe it will cause people to actually look into who they are and what they believe? Since when do conservatives cancel people? What is this new thing of not giving people a platform? Canceling and deplatforming are leftist tactics. Talk to people especially those you disagree with, don't throw a hissy fit and stomp out of the room, that's exactly what we make fun of leftys for.

Good grief, pointing out tuckers inconsistencies is hardly “cancelling” him. A few have said that he’s now on Qutar’s payroll which would certainly explain his actions. Mark Levin did a very good analysis of carlson and fuentes last week. And carlson and his weird laugh were very out of place at Charlie Kirk’s memo.

There is a reason people like Shapiro, Levin and others will not give Carlson or Fuentes a platform to debate them. They have no facts to back themselves up, no way to refute anything, they would be exposed and utterly humiliated. Which is exactly why they, like the author of this article are resorting to mud slinging and name calling .

You have to wonder if he's a resident of Planet Earth. Maybe that's why he was continually wanting us to believe in UFO's on his nightly Fox show. As for Megyn and Matt, you'll never hear them speak ill of any of their fellow conservative bloggers.

Wasn't Carlson a liberal many years ago before he appeared on FOX. He seemed to make sense while on FOX, but it looks like he's gone off the deep end after he was fired and now hides out in his barn doing his pod cast.

#7, Mark Levin might have done a great analysis but he refuses to actually talk to Tucker. Levin literally said that he would not platform him? Is that not “canceling him”? I’m just saying they should talk. Mark is stomping out of the room, Tucker is willing to discuss.

In fact Mr. Green has been "calling out" Mr. Carlson nonstop for three weeks ("Not that there's anything wrong with that!", to coin a phrase.) Anyone who reads his postings on PJ Media and Instapundit is familiar with Mr. Green's views.

What an absolute load of manure. I had no idea ideological purity was required on the Right but you folks seem to have fallen for this hook line and sinker. So much for freedom of speech and freedom of the press. Journalist interview people, sometimes those people are evil. But apparently if you don't shout down anyone you disagree with like you are a host of The View then too bad, out of the tent! Truth is most of the GOPinc, including many here, would use the exact same censorious and cancelling tactics as the Left used on us for years. But you are worse because you do it to people you agree with about 95% of the issues. And you wonder why the young have no love to spare for the Right. They see your hypocrisy.

Mr Trump has fired off a legal letter after it emerged Panorama had selectively edited his speech before the 2021 Capitol riot to remove a section where he told supporters to demonstrate peacefully. A BBC spokesman said: “We will review the letter and respond directly in due course.” The revelation comes shortly after Mr Shah used his first remarks since the resignations of Director General Tim Davie and Head of News Deborah Turness to mount a defence of the corporation. Mr Shah accused Michael Prescott, who wrote a critical memo that ultimately prompted the resignations, of offering a “personal account” which gives only a “partial” view of events.

Democrats dominated the first major Election Day since President Donald Trump returned to the White House. And while a debate about the future of the Democratic Party may have only just begun, there are signs that the economy — specifically, Trump’s inability to deliver the economic turnaround he promised last fall — may be a real problem for Trump’s GOP heading into next year’s higher-stakes midterm elections. Democrats on Tuesday won governor’s races in Virginia and New Jersey, the only states electing new chief executives this year. They also swept a trio of state Supreme Court contests in swing-state Pennsylvania and ballots measures from Colorado to Maine.

The New York City mayoral race and the New Jersey’s governor’s race is one of those times when the Jewish vote actually matters and the skew of the Jewish vote looks nothing like the stereotypes. President Trump personally reached out to the Orthodox Jewish community in New Jersey, urging, “I need all of my supporters in the orthodox community in Lakewood and its surrounding towns to vote in huge numbers for Jack Ciattarelli. Jack needs every single Vote in the community, including all the Yeshiva students who turned out to vote for me last year.”

Dem Rep. Mikie Sherrill walloped Republican Jack Ciattarelli in a stunning victory Tuesday after making her New Jersey gubernatorial campaign all about President Trump. Despite Ciattarelli mounting an aggressive, well-funded campaign and polls showing the race neck-and-neck, he fell dramatically short on Election Day — marking a reversal from four years ago when most polling significantly underestimated him. Sherrill led by 12 points with 90% of ballots counted on Tuesday night after the highest turnout in a Garden State gubernatorial election in over a decade. Her electoral triumph marks the first time in the modern era that her party will control Drumthwacket for more than two consecutive terms.

For over a decade, electric vehicles (E.V.s) have been heralded as the salvation of the planet, a technological fix to the existential threat posed by fossil fuels. Governments poured billions into subsidies, activists sounded alarms about climate catastrophe, and states began mandating the end of internal combustion engines. Yet, despite fifteen years of incentives, the E.V. market remains fragile, dependent, and increasingly exposed. The recent collapse in E.V. sales following the expiration of federal tax credits reveals a deeper truth: when demand is manufactured through ideology and regulation rather than consumer value, the product cannot survive without constant political oxygen.

California has the trendiest, and most foolish, energy policies in the U.S. The result is a return to the early ’70s, when drivers lined up around the block, hoping and praying the gasoline wouldn’t run out before they got to the pumps. “California’s oil industry now sits at the precipice of complete collapse,” says Edward Ring, director of water and energy policy at the California Policy Center, “and if that happens, more imports will not prevent lines at the pumps.” How could California, which has the sixth most proved crude reserves in the country, be looking over the edge of a gasoline crisis?

[snip] First let’s look at the role that government has already played and its effect on affordability. What areas in the economy have seen the greatest increase in costs for the consumer? Education, housing, healthcare, and food. ronically, these are all areas of the economy that the government has interjected itself in the form of subsidies, regulations, government-backed loans, and transfer payments.
