Democrats dominated the first major Election Day since President Donald Trump returned to the White House. And while a debate about the future of the Democratic Party may have only just begun, there are signs that the economy — specifically, Trump’s inability to deliver the economic turnaround he promised last fall — may be a real problem for Trump’s GOP heading into next year’s higher-stakes midterm elections. Democrats on Tuesday won governor’s races in Virginia and New Jersey, the only states electing new chief executives this year. They also swept a trio of state Supreme Court contests in swing-state Pennsylvania and ballots measures from Colorado to Maine.

It's not Trump's fault so many people won't work and want everything free. The AP is bought and paid for.

Yawn. A bunch of "free lunch" old cat ladies, kids who can't afford to live because they will not work, and taxi drivers just changed NYC from Democrat to Communist. Really, what's the difference? NYC is already in the crapper. The only "loss" was VA, which was kind of a miracle Youngkin won in the first place. Lets learn from this, but sadly we have to put up with a couple weeks of BS like this piece from the AP.

AP is the propaganda arm of the criminal enterprise running and ruining our country. The problems destroying our country have been decades in the making, yet voters think they can be fixed overnite. When the problems aren't fixed, they support someone else. Totally unrealistic. We are probably heading for a dictatorship. Look at what's getting elected. It's just criminals consolidating their power. Is our government broken beyond repair? If so, the sooner it breaks completely, the sooner it can be torn down and rebuilt. Considering how people behave, not sure what comes out in the end will be any better than what we currently have.

All these prime time races were longer shots for the GOP to win. It's proving the point that in a few they hate Trump more than they love Smerica. No one should lift a finger for NYC. They truly deserve what's going to happen to them.

If there were no elction on Novemer 4, would the Schumer Shutdown still be going on? Seems liek the shutsown is being prolonged by the DEMOCRATS to ensure maximum economic impact on federal employees in northern Virginia, stir concerns about the abolity of people on food stamps to get their benefits, and to interfere with other aspects of the economy that would scarethe electorate. This plan apparently worked.

Trump is taking the blame for the feckless and useless Republican Party, that is doing everything in its power to kill the MAGA movement while appearing to do something good while they don’t accomplish anything. The Republicans want everything to be bad and dismal, because they don’t want Trump to succeed either.

Polling Gets the Jewish Vote Completely Wrong 9 replies

The New York City mayoral race and the New Jersey’s governor’s race is one of those times when the Jewish vote actually matters and the skew of the Jewish vote looks nothing like the stereotypes. President Trump personally reached out to the Orthodox Jewish community in New Jersey, urging, “I need all of my supporters in the orthodox community in Lakewood and its surrounding towns to vote in huge numbers for Jack Ciattarelli. Jack needs every single Vote in the community, including all the Yeshiva students who turned out to vote for me last year.”

Dem Rep. Mikie Sherrill walloped Republican Jack Ciattarelli in a stunning victory Tuesday after making her New Jersey gubernatorial campaign all about President Trump. Despite Ciattarelli mounting an aggressive, well-funded campaign and polls showing the race neck-and-neck, he fell dramatically short on Election Day — marking a reversal from four years ago when most polling significantly underestimated him. Sherrill led by 12 points with 90% of ballots counted on Tuesday night after the highest turnout in a Garden State gubernatorial election in over a decade. Her electoral triumph marks the first time in the modern era that her party will control Drumthwacket for more than two consecutive terms.

For over a decade, electric vehicles (E.V.s) have been heralded as the salvation of the planet, a technological fix to the existential threat posed by fossil fuels. Governments poured billions into subsidies, activists sounded alarms about climate catastrophe, and states began mandating the end of internal combustion engines. Yet, despite fifteen years of incentives, the E.V. market remains fragile, dependent, and increasingly exposed. The recent collapse in E.V. sales following the expiration of federal tax credits reveals a deeper truth: when demand is manufactured through ideology and regulation rather than consumer value, the product cannot survive without constant political oxygen.

Johnson told The Hill that he believes Senate GOP leadership supports his offer, but he says the proposal will be discussed in more detail at the weekly Senate Republican policy luncheon Tuesday.“Are they going to take ‘yes’ for an answer?” Johnson said of whether his Democratic colleagues would accept the latest offer. “We’re willing to add furloughed workers,” he said, calling it a “big” concession.

As previously outlined, Canada is so entrenched with their ‘orange man bad’ syndrome, they just cannot get out of their own way on stupid trade decisions. {GO DEEP} You might remember Mexico retreating from Chinese electric vehicle (EV) development following the November 2024 election of Donald Trump. China was on the cusp of investing $5 to $7 billion in new EV manufacturing in Mexico, when President Trump announced he would impose massive tariffs to block any import of Chinese EVs made in Mexico. Trump won the election and together China and Mexico scrapped their plan.

It has been somewhat amusing to watch Democrats twist themselves into pretzels to justify their continued support for miscreants and reprobates, while still trying to claim the moral high ground when it comes to President Donald Trump. In the span of just one week, we’ve seen them rush to defend a Senate candidate, Graham Platner, who didn’t just sport a Nazi tattoo on his chest, but a tattoo of a skull favored by guards at Nazi concentration camps. A guy who spouted anti-gay slurs on social media. Sen. Bernie Sanders, speaking for all Democrats, washes his hands of it.

In the late 1850s, “Bleeding Kansas” was the term used to describe the escalating cycle of violence, when surrogates for the Union and soon-to-be Confederacy fought each other over whether Kansas would be admitted as a free or slave-owning state. As the assaults and killings increased, radicals set the agenda. The logical next step was the nightmares of Fort Sumter and Bull Run. Those calling for restraint and peaceful resolutions were considered weak and traitorous. The thuggish and violent, instead, were praised as the true idealists and patriots, the real “base” of their respective parties.

The Associated Press and NY1 called the race for the 34-year-old Mamdani about 40 minutes after polls closed at 9 p.m., inspiring cheers from his supporters at his campaign’s Brooklyn watch party. “New York, tonight you have delivered a mandate for change, a mandate for a new kind of politics, a mandate for a city that we can afford and a mandate for a government that delivers exactly that,”

Andrew Cuomo got 41.7%, while Curtis Sliwa -- the only rational candidate still left on the ballot -- received 7.1% of the vote. New York City wasn’t lost to a communist because the radical left out-organized the Democrat establishment. Supreme Court justices on Wednesday morning expressed skepticism about the legality of aggressive tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump against most of the world's nations. Conservative and liberal justices sharply questioned Solicitor General D. John Sauer on the Trump administration's method for enacting the tariffs, which critics say infringes on the power of Congress to tax. Lower federal courts have ruled that Trump lacked the legal authority he cited under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act to impose the so-called reciprocal tariffs on imports from many U.S. trading partners, and fentanyl tariffs on products from Canada, China and Mexico.

It's beginning to look like the prediction Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) made about the Democrats and the shutdown is right. He predicted that after the elections, we would get some movement from the Democrats to end the shutdown, because the shutdown was about juicing their base, trying to whip them up to get out to the polls. Once the elections were over, they would then try to find an off-ramp to end the shutdown and claim a victory. Surprise, surprise. Now we're hearing that Democrats are engaging with Republicans on reopening the government, according to Punchbowl.
