Dem Rep. Mikie Sherrill walloped Republican Jack Ciattarelli in a stunning victory Tuesday after making her New Jersey gubernatorial campaign all about President Trump.
Despite Ciattarelli mounting an aggressive, well-funded campaign and polls showing the race neck-and-neck, he fell dramatically short on Election Day — marking a reversal from four years ago when most polling significantly underestimated him.
Sherrill led by 12 points with 90% of ballots counted on Tuesday night after the highest turnout in a Garden State gubernatorial election in over a decade.
Her electoral triumph marks the first time in the modern era that her party will control Drumthwacket for more than two consecutive terms.

Well, once again, the voters of NJ have elected a pathetic, corrupt political hack as governor. It gets more and more difficult to defend NJ when people make fun of this silly state whose track record of electing corrupt politicians to high office goes back many decades. The sad part is that it does bot matter that she will not keep any of the campaign promises she made. The people will continue to vote for her party anyway,

Even after all we have been through, the communist still wins. We are doomed. The brainwashing is complete.

All the four major outcomes of last night - NY, NJ, Virginia and California have not shifted the (national) political landscape appreciably. But their consequences will provide enough material to either sway or prevent independents from going to the other side. IF Republicans can use it skillfully. Unfortunately, Republicans are famous for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory and last night was no victory.

I have been saying all along that we have the mid terms coming.
Democrats do not look at results, they do not love America, their party is their religion.
Look for a loss of the House and the Senate in the mid terms.
America is done for .

So new Democrats replaced old Democrats in Democrat states. I feel bad for Virginia, where the liberal federal employees in the north over rode the votes of the rest of the state. In all cases, the Democrats ran against Donald Trump as if he was the Republican candidate on the ballot. They ran on resisting Trump. Not making their state better.

Looks like many of the votes the Republicans were looking for already voted with their feet and got out. I would think that will continue.

Ocean Co in South Jersey and Hunterdon Co in the northwest are solid red but the bulk of he population lives in the north. That's how it was done. The dems base are not aware they have engaged in suicide. That includes NYC .

And, it only took 5 bomb threats, 75,000 independent voters removed from the voter rolls and not allowed to vote, and the predictable problems with the voting machines to do it. Congrats, NJ!

I expected Ciattarelli to do better. NJ residents complain bitterly about high taxes but then vote for even more. Sherrill was passed off as a moderate 'fresh face' but will bring more of the same liberal claptrap.

Here is a politician who has
risen "to the level of their incompetence."
Our previous governor was at least pragmatic.

Yeah, but it took 'Monkeywrenching' the voting machines in Republican leaning precincts and calling / emailing bomb threats to Republican leaning precincts to scare off voters.

"I hate Trump" will be the democrats' campaign slogan from here on out. That's all they've got.
