The Left is ‘Bleeding Kansas’

Original Article

Posted By: FlyRight, 10/27/2025 1:10:47 PM

In the late 1850s, “Bleeding Kansas” was the term used to describe the escalating cycle of violence, when surrogates for the Union and soon-to-be Confederacy fought each other over whether Kansas would be admitted as a free or slave-owning state. As the assaults and killings increased, radicals set the agenda. The logical next step was the nightmares of Fort Sumter and Bull Run. Those calling for restraint and peaceful resolutions were considered weak and traitorous. The thuggish and violent, instead, were praised as the true idealists and patriots, the real “base” of their respective parties.

Very good article and insights from VDH. FTA: L.A. Mayor Karen Bass, whose incompetence and left-wing blinders ensured the L.A. fire, seems unconcerned with her failed city, as she daily poses on the barricades as a resistor of federal law. Governor Gavin Newsom has no answers for his multibillion-dollar high-speed rail catastrophe. He remains indifferent to the state government’s responsibility for dozens of horrific forest and brush fires. Perennial candidate Newsom is unconcerned with the state’s crippling costs of insurance, gas, and electricity, or California’s record high gas and income taxes, or its now chronic multibillion-dollar budget deficit, or its $1.6 trillion in unfunded liabilities. This is due to they don't fear any electoral consequences since the City and State are so overwhelmingly Democrat. The State has a super majority for nearly the past 20 years, so they don't even need to consider any Republican, Independent, Libertarian or other party concerns. Same has happened in NYC and Illinois (Chicago and Crooked County). Thus, they feel emboldened to say and do whatever they damned well please. It's why the Democrats were happy to send out Mad Max to spew whatever gibberish they would tell her to convey knowing she would never have to pay any political consequence. It was all by design to push the message and not jeopardize any of their moderate (yesteryear's Blue Dog Democrats) members -- they don't really have any of those left in office as they've been purged by the radical left who control the party.

The time will come, when it gets bad enough, these blue state politicians, and their constituents, will have to pay the piper. I don't know when that will be, but every day of violence aimed at the right by the left brings that time a little closer.

One more thing. The non-protest death referenced by VDH came after the Fedsurrection was over and had nothing to do with it.

Trump has the right idea. Make them live with their decisions. When a blue state demands that the other 49 states bail them out from their poor financial decisions, tell them to go pound sand.

All these obstructionists like JB and Newsom are Marxists. They have nothing in common with Lee, Davis and the states which withdrew from the Union. In all three examples Victor uses of obstruction by southern governors, the federal court orders were obeyed. The complaints about the federal government were a result of segregation being declared legal and constitutional for 90 years by the SCOTUS. That changed with the Brown decision and there was legal question about where the line was on the power of the state versus the federal government. There's a reasonable expectation that a historian like Victor would know that his constant labeling these Marxists as being neo - Confederates is illogical and flawed.

Sen. Ron Johnson (Wis.), the lead Senate Republican negotiator on a bill to pay key federal workers during the shutdown, says he has offered Democrats a proposal to pay all federal workers — essential and furloughed federal employees — while federal departments and agencies are shuttered. Johnson told The Hill that he believes Senate GOP leadership supports his offer, but he says the proposal will be discussed in more detail at the weekly Senate Republican policy luncheon Tuesday.“Are they going to take ‘yes’ for an answer?” Johnson said of whether his Democratic colleagues would accept the latest offer. “We’re willing to add furloughed workers,” he said, calling it a “big” concession.

As previously outlined, Canada is so entrenched with their ‘orange man bad’ syndrome, they just cannot get out of their own way on stupid trade decisions. {GO DEEP} You might remember Mexico retreating from Chinese electric vehicle (EV) development following the November 2024 election of Donald Trump. China was on the cusp of investing $5 to $7 billion in new EV manufacturing in Mexico, when President Trump announced he would impose massive tariffs to block any import of Chinese EVs made in Mexico. Trump won the election and together China and Mexico scrapped their plan.

It has been somewhat amusing to watch Democrats twist themselves into pretzels to justify their continued support for miscreants and reprobates, while still trying to claim the moral high ground when it comes to President Donald Trump. In the span of just one week, we’ve seen them rush to defend a Senate candidate, Graham Platner, who didn’t just sport a Nazi tattoo on his chest, but a tattoo of a skull favored by guards at Nazi concentration camps. A guy who spouted anti-gay slurs on social media. Sen. Bernie Sanders, speaking for all Democrats, washes his hands of it.

He was a BIG victor, he had a lot of help from us!” the president exulted to reporters on Air Force One en route to Japan from Malaysia. “It was unexpected!”With partial results reported, Milei’s La Libertad Avanza had increased its seats in the Chamber of Deputies to at least 64 from 37 and gained at least six seats in the Argentine Senate.

More than 3,000 point-of-sale terminals, gas pumps and ATMs were inspected. Teams also distributed educational materials about Electronic Benefit Transfer fraud and skimming to businesses to help them better identify the warning signs of illegal skimming devices in their point-of-sale terminals, gas pumps and ATMs.

A Virginia federal prosecutor who opposed bringing bank fraud charges against New York Attorney General Letitia James was fired after allegedly mishandling sensitive information related to the case, according to a report. Beth Yusi, who had worked out of the Norfolk office for the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, allegedly sent investigative files containing James’ personally identifying information to her private email account, CNN reported on Friday, citing an internal email. Yusi, who had been employed by the Justice Department since 2010, was axed earlier this month. Several media reports suggested Yusi was fired for pushing back against pressure from the Trump administration to charge James.

It isn’t. Now the press is making excuses for the actual Nazi symbol that was tattooed on Maine’s Democrat Senate candidate Graham Platner’s chest. Platner would challenge Republican incumbent Sen. One aspect of the government shutdown that probably wasn’t anticipated by Chuck Schumer and other Democrats, is that it has revealed to the public just how many people receive food stamps. Years ago, when the program was still called ‘food stamps’ it was seen as something that struggling families might use temporarily to get through a hard time. Then it was re-branded as the ‘SNAP’ program and destigmatized. People were encouraged to enroll. Now there are many more people using the program, many who probably don’t even really need it. The longer the shutdown goes on, the more reports there are about this and it’s stunning to taxpayers

Congress is barreling toward a critical deadline for extending the enhanced ObamaCare subsidies at the heart of the government shutdown, and it may already be too late to shield the public from sticker shock with open-enrollment window shopping underway. If somehow there is a deal done ahead of Nov.1, which looks unlikely, states and the federal government may still have time to incorporate the enhanced subsidies into their prices. But Republicans have made it clear that there will need to be changes to the tax credits before they even entertain an extension.
