Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) director Todd Lyons said Wednesday that New York City will see more immigration arrests, after protesters confronted agents during an operation. “You will see an increase in ICE arrests because there are so many criminals and illegal aliens that have been released in New York, specifically,” Lyons said in a Fox News interview. You will see us making those criminal arrests to make New York safe again. It’s definitely intelligence driven, it’s not random,” Lyons said. “We aren’t pulling people off the street. There was a specific reason based on criminal intelligence and criminal activity that we showed up on Canal Street.”

In a dramatic escalation of the Trump administration’s maritime war on narco-terrorism, U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced the first lethal military strike outside the Caribbean Sea — targeting and destroying a drug-smuggling vessel off Colombia’s Pacific coast. Hegseth announced the eighth military strike against a narco-terrorist drug smuggling vessel on Wednesday. The military strike that destroyed the boat and killed two on board is the first to be conducted outside the Caribbean Sea area of operations.

The propaganda press was sick less than a year ago over a tattoo of the Jerusalem Cross on Pete Hegseth’s chest. They called his Christian markings “white supremacist and extremist,” as they tried to derail his confirmation for secretary of defense. Some mistakenly thought the cross was a Nazi swastika. It isn’t. Now the press is making excuses for the actual Nazi symbol that was tattooed on Maine’s Democrat Senate candidate Graham Platner’s chest. Platner would challenge Republican incumbent Sen. Susan Collins, if he can make it through the primary against Maine Gov. Janet Mills.

How Albany Can Stop Mamdani 10 replies

If Zohran Mamdani is elected mayor and implements the changes he is promising, expect the city's financial condition and public safety to deteriorate rapidly. Think criminal bedlam, antisemitic rioters allowed full rein, and cutbacks to basic city services. In such a crisis, desperate New Yorkers will look to Albany, where the governor has virtually unlimited power to curb the mayor's authority or remove him, even if no crime has been committed. There is a safety valve, if a governor is willing to use it. Before removing a mayor, state law requires the governor to present grievances against the mayor at a formal hearing.

On November 5, 2024, Donald Trump won the United States presidential election against Kamala Harris. It was a convincing win. Trump snagged victory in the Electoral College, where the contest is officially decided, 312 to 226. He needed only 270 to prevail. He also won the popular vote (a nice but unnecessary distinction), with 77,302,580 votes to 75,017,613, a margin of almost 2 million votes. I mention these well-known facts to underscore the black comedy of the “No Kings” protests taking place across the country as I write. According to several sources, some 2500 separate protests are planned. Millions of people are expected to join in the fun.

The IDF began “a series of strikes” against Hamas targets in southern Gaza in response to the terror group violating the ceasefire agreement on Sunday, the military announced. The military condemned Hamas’s “blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement,” which occurred when the terror group fired an anti-tank missile and opened fire on Israeli soldiers. Earlier, the Prime Minister's Office announced that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had instructed Israel's armed forces to respond with force against Gazan terror targets during a consultation with Defense Minister Israel Katz and the heads of Israel's security establishment.

Tellingly, the most senior of the nine officers axed on the 17th was General He Weidong, the second-ranked vice chairman of the Commission and Xi Jinping's No. 1 loyalist in the PLA. The general had gained prominence as Xi's top enforcer in the military. Gen. He was not the only officer who backed Xi and has now been taken out of the military's leadership ranks. Moreover, it is difficult to identify any Xi adversary who was purged in the last 18 months. It is unlikely, at a time Xi Jinping appears to be fighting for political survival, that he would remove his most important supporter in the military.

A campaign staffer for Democratic mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani was recently caught on hidden camera saying “who gives a s–t” what cops think about the socialist candidate. “They’re city employees. You get told what to do, shut up. When did you get an opinion?” Robert Akleh, the citywide canvass manager for the campaign sniffed to an “undercover” operative for conservative podcaster Steven Crowder. Scott Munro, the president of the Detectives’ Endowment Association representing 21,000 active and retired NYPD Detectives tells The Post that New Yorkers better vote like their “lives depend on it.”

The terror-linked Brooklyn imam who palled around in a photo opp this week with socialist NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani once urged “jihad” on the Big Apple. Imam Siraj Wahhaj, one of the nation’s foremost Muslim leaders, delivered his radical message during a sermon in the early 2000s, telling followers to participate in gun-free jihad and “march through the city of New York,” according to a foreign intelligence assessment obtained Saturday by The Post. “I pray one day Allah will bless us to raise an army, and I’m serious about this,” he said during the sermon, which was first reported by Islamist Watch and cited in the intelligence report

Once again, Europe seems to have slipped into a dangerous fantasy: that engaging in polite diplomatic parleys with promises of sugar plums will tame Iran's rapacious ambitions. France, Germany, and the United Kingdom (E3), acting as the European Troika, declared their intention to revive the long-stalled nuclear negotiations with Iran. At the core of the E3's plan lies the deeply flawed assumption that Iran can be wooed into restraint through incremental "incentives." These generally consist of easing financial pressure, lifting trade restrictions, or delaying multilateral sanctions in exchange for ephemeral commitments. Sadly, Europe appears to be pursuing the worst lessons of appeasement:

They made a big deal over it, falsely claiming that it was some sort of act of intimidation – apparently because it was taking place on the same day (Saturday, October 18th) as disaffected hippies, out-of-work actors, and paid agitators are marching for “No Kings.” You be the judge. Then on Saturday morning, the governor ordered the road closed after experts advised it. Today's narrative is one of many false narratives that Newsom’s team posts daily which. unfortunately, are taken to heart by his followers.

The charge? Professional misconduct that is serious enough to warrant potential disbarment.

Senate Democrats aren't satisfied yet with the amount of violence directed at ICE and CBP agents, so they are planning to create what they call a "Master ICE Tracker to warn illegal aliens about ICE activity, and give Antifa militants more information about where exactly to position themselves for ambushes. Assaults on ICE agents have skyrocketed by 1000%, and the violence directed at them has escalated from throwing Subway sandwiches to taking potshots at them and ramming cars into agents. But, to Democrats, ICE is the modern Gestapo; it seems like this level of violence and resistance to law enforcement officers is not nearly enough.

The American Federation of Teachers and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees filed a petition for review against the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. The employee unions challenged a rule implemented by Department of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy restricting foreign individuals from receiving commercial drivers licenses. Commercial drivers licenses are used for operating large vehicles such as tractor-trailers and buses. Nineteen states and the District of Columbia allow unauthorized immigrants to receive commercial drivers licenses.
