The Liberal government's compensated confiscation campaign aimed at removing the vast majority of semi-automatic firearms from the hands of legal gun owners has officially begun, with a pilot program in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia launching on Wednesday.
The "buyback" effort is aimed at taking thousands of models of semi-automatic firearms away from their once-lawful owners, who risk criminal charges if they're caught in possession of their firearms once the government's amnesty period has expired.
[snip] He said after the program ends and there are no more buybacks, police will know who still has banned guns, so he may as well comply now and get something for it.

They will not get much compliance in ALberta and Saskatchewan. The governments have said that there will be no confiscations there.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out. They don't have any 2nd Amendment, but the western provinces are huge geographically, and produce a lot of the money flowing into Canada. Saskatchewan produces the wheat for food, and Alberta the oil and gas for power and transport. Together, about 15-17% of the total Canadian economy.
It will be interesting to watch if they stop shipping food and fuel eastward.

Canadians may soon discover the biggest threat to their lives comes from their own government. Disarmed populaces get slaughtered. Check your history.

All Canadians have to do is look over at England to see what is in store for them. The Canadians are already serfs. Soon they will be slaves.
Never register your guns. Registration ALWAYS leads to confiscation and subjugation.

Canadians are mostly sheep. I interact with some of them in the winter in Florida.
They love their socialism and hate Trump.
They rid themselves of Trudeau only to elect something worse.

Maybe time to start talks with Alberta and Saskatchewan on possibly coming in as states 51 and 52? If you add in Yukon....we'd have a solid path to Alaska.

I made the decision several years ago to never set foot in Canada again. That whole country has gone crazy. I won’t have anything to do with them.

As for the western Canadians, forget about it. They aren't about to have squat confiscated. Kanada is on the brink of shrinking by three provinces. BC may need to split away from the Peoples Republic of Vancouver. If so, the new BC will be the fourth.

This is why they want guns registered. There is no other reason except to let them know where they are and who has them.

Bury your guns and save them for the day when government shock troops come for you. That's the next step.

A lot of weapons are lost in fishing accidents, but I'm pretty sure that this new Canadian government will make the effort to search homes, hoping to help "find" any lost weapons.
