Over a decade ago, when announcing that I would file a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the National Security Agency’s once-secret program to collect all Americans’ cell phone data, I said, “Our Founding Fathers objected to general warrants that allowed soldiers to go from house to house searching homes of American colonists [and] I think they would be equally horrified by a government that goes from phone to phone collecting data on all Americans.”
A year later, in 2015, I spoke for 10 and a half hours on the floor of the Senate to highlight the dangers of domestic surveillance

Two teenagers who jumped former DOGE staffer Edward “Big Balls” Coristine have avoided jail after pleading guilty to simple assault at a Washington, DC, court.
The boy and girl, both 15, from Hyattsville, Maryland, were sentenced to probation at a DC court on Tuesday, just over two months after the pair were arrested for the savage Aug. 3 attack, WUSA9 reported.
The boy was handed a 12-month probation and allowed to return home under strict house arrest, while the girl was given a nine-month probation and remanded to a local youth shelter.

Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons slammed New York officials for issuing commercial driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants, including an Indian national caught with an ID that didn’t identify him.
Lyons was left outraged after the now-detained truck driver Anmol Anmol was driving across the US with a license that read “No Name Given” before being arrested in Oklahoma last month.
“It’s really scary,” Lyons told Fox News’ “The Big Weekend Show” Saturday. “To see that on a driver’s license issued by the state, ‘No Name Given.” And the worst part, there’s a REAL ID star right up there in the corner.

The cost for that Disney magic is going up. Walt Disney World has confirmed that it is raising prices on its theme park tickets, annual passes, and on some annual pass renewals.
Disney World previously implemented "dynamic pricing," which means daily tickets to its theme parks vary by theme park, day, and demand. That will continue. Beginning during the 2026 holiday season, Disney confirmed that the highest ticket price point – only on its busiest days – could top $200 per person for a one-park, one-day ticket.

Future first son Hunter Biden was tied up in an eyebrow-raising proposal to sell off land around the US embassy in Bucharest, Romania to a group that included a Chinese company — as part of an effort to help a local real estate tycoon beat corruption charges.
The scandal-scarred former first son — whose ties to Romania date back to when his father, Joe Biden, was vice-president — became involved in the proposal after he agreed in 2015 to help the developer, Gabriel Popoviciu, fight criminal charges, according to a forthcoming book by New York Times reporter Ken Vogel.

At least two people have been killed and 14 injured in a mass shooting in Montgomery on Saturday night, authorities in Alabama have said.
A woman was among those killed, and at least two of the injured were children, one of whom suffered life-threatening injuries, Montgomery Police Department (MPD) Chief James Graboys told the Montgomery Advertiser.
The massacre happened in the city’s busy tourist district downtown just after the football game between Tuskegee University and Morehouse College, two historically black universities in the state.
Fairground-style attractions were set up ahead of the game, with a ferris wheel and other rides installed in downtown.

U.S. Rep. Chip Roy is demanding answers after a notable Florida-based pastor said he was denied access to an interfaith chapel at DFW International Airport.
The incident in question occurred on Sep. 26, when Pastor Tom Ascol attempted to attend a prayer service at a DFW Airport Interfaith Chapel, according to an Oct. 2 letter sent by Roy to DFW Airport CEO Chris McLaughlin. Upon arriving at the chapel, Ascol found the space occupied by “Imam-led Muslim prayer, [snip]
Ascol said he attempted to move toward the door again but the man stood in his way, “making it clear that this prayer service was only for certain kinds of people, namely Muslims.”
Comments:
One of the pair was already arrested twice but NOT IN PRISON.
No word on their US status. Driving a cab is a most dangerous job. At least someone working at a Quickie-Mart can have some protection.
