Over a decade ago, when announcing that I would file a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the National Security Agency’s once-secret program to collect all Americans’ cell phone data, I said, “Our Founding Fathers objected to general warrants that allowed soldiers to go from house to house searching homes of American colonists [and] I think they would be equally horrified by a government that goes from phone to phone collecting data on all Americans.” A year later, in 2015, I spoke for 10 and a half hours on the floor of the Senate to highlight the dangers of domestic surveillance

Obviously, the "safeguards" that are supposed to limit or prohibit the collection of information that is protected by privacy aren't working. I'm still waiting for the FISA court judges to hold someone responsible for the obviously manufactured and illegal warrants that were used to spy on President Trump during his 2016 campaign, transition, and first term. If I lied to a traffic court judge, I wouldn't be surprised to spend the next couple days as a guest of the local sheriff. I don't see where these folks even got a "please don't do that again." Tells me that the "safety valves" that are supposed to protect us don't give the southern end of a northbound rat about us.

Republicans come alive when their phones are tapped --- but silent when Trump supporters imprisoned without bail, trial, and for misdemeanors at the worst. Or when there is a coup against a Republican President. That didn't bother them. But tracking their phones, that is more than they can take, they say --- but they will take it, and do nothing, because that is what they always do.

Note to Rand Paul - stay out of it. It's the job of the DOJ to investigate. You're not going to do anything but bloviate, complain, and hassle every decision Trump makes.

Rand Paul is a good egg even if he voted against Trump in the BBB and shutdown. He is protecting my right to have a girlfriend on this side. Look at what happened to the debanked Canadian Truckers or J6ers.

It's a two edged sword. Ethically it's wrong to collect such data but then Kohberger was nailed as the mass murderer in Idaho through his phone and GPS records. If you aren't up to no good, your daily movements are meaningless and boring and the intrusion is unconstitutional. Bad actors can make something out of nothing if they are out to get you. I find Rand Paul to be a good man but essentially useless.

Re #1 - Chief Justice John Roberts supervises the FISA court and like the Dobbs decision leakers he will do nothing about it. Re #3 - Sure - let the the DOJ investigate and file charges and if the charges are filed in DC - you can forget anyone being held accountable.

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) is meeting in London to vote on new rules to cut “greenhouse gases” by imposing a first-ever global tax on shipping emissions. The meeting of the U.N. agency ends Friday and is expected to finalize a “Net-Zero Framework (NZF)” where commercial ships would pay for emissions over a set limit as defined by the IMO, while vessels that meet tougher standards could trade or bank so-called “surplus units.” The Trump administration unequivocally rejects the proposal and has threatened to retaliate if nations support it, setting the stage for a fight over the climate deal.

Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons slammed New York officials for issuing commercial driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants, including an Indian national caught with an ID that didn’t identify him. Lyons was left outraged after the now-detained truck driver Anmol Anmol was driving across the US with a license that read “No Name Given” before being arrested in Oklahoma last month. “It’s really scary,” Lyons told Fox News’ “The Big Weekend Show” Saturday. “To see that on a driver’s license issued by the state, ‘No Name Given.” And the worst part, there’s a REAL ID star right up there in the corner.

The cost for that Disney magic is going up. Walt Disney World has confirmed that it is raising prices on its theme park tickets, annual passes, and on some annual pass renewals. Disney World previously implemented "dynamic pricing," which means daily tickets to its theme parks vary by theme park, day, and demand. That will continue. Beginning during the 2026 holiday season, Disney confirmed that the highest ticket price point – only on its busiest days – could top $200 per person for a one-park, one-day ticket.

Future first son Hunter Biden was tied up in an eyebrow-raising proposal to sell off land around the US embassy in Bucharest, Romania to a group that included a Chinese company — as part of an effort to help a local real estate tycoon beat corruption charges. The scandal-scarred former first son — whose ties to Romania date back to when his father, Joe Biden, was vice-president — became involved in the proposal after he agreed in 2015 to help the developer, Gabriel Popoviciu, fight criminal charges, according to a forthcoming book by New York Times reporter Ken Vogel. The would-be land deal, which came about shortly after Biden left office

A dedicated prayer room for Muslims has reportedly been opened inside the 500-year-old Vatican Apostolic Library in Rome after a plea for the separate, carpeted space was made by visiting Islamic scholars. The Catholic Herald reports Fr Giacomo Cardinali, Vice Prefect, said in an interview with the Italian newspaper La Repubblica that Muslim academics had requested an area in which to pray, and the library had agreed. “Some Muslim scholars have asked us for a room with a carpet for praying and we have given it to them,” he said. Moses, smell the roses: Did you see the joyous, adoring throngs of Israelis and Arabs, all cheering and praising the American president? Millions of people chanting his name! Y’know, for a guy with Donald Trump’s ego, people worshiping him as a god in the Holy Land must’ve been pretty trippy. But for a guy with Barack Obama’s ego, had he been in Trump’s shoes, he would’ve believed it. That’s always been one of the fundamental differences between the two most historically significant presidents of this century: Sure, Donald Trump has an ego, but he’s also self-aware. His pride and self-confidence are 100% authentic, but he’s also a showman: Part of it is schtick.

It’s one thing to understand that Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson was DEI nomination to the Supreme Court, and another thing entirely to listen to her own words as she proves it. During oral arguments in ‘Louisiana v. Callais’, a case before the high court considering whether Louisiana’s congressional map (which includes two majority-black districts), where plaintiffs in the case argue the congressional map is unconstitutionally gerrymandered based on race; Justice KBJ compares black people to disabled people. The comparison for the argument she is trying to make is ridiculous. Listen:

Norfolk, Virginia — A one-page mortgage document signed by New York state Attorney General Letitia James is at the center of the federal criminal charges for which she now faces 60 years in federal prison. In the “second home rider” for her mortgage, which was obtained by The Post, James attested that the property would be a second home occupied primarily by her. It allowed her to secure a better mortgage rate from Old Virginia Mortgage/Annie Mac — netting her nearly $19,000 in mortgage savings, according to federal prosecutors. In reality, James’ serial criminal grand-niece, Nakia Thompson, moved in soon after she
