Why Gen Zers Like Me Will Never Be The

Doubtlessly, a new age has just begun. Most of Gen Z was nothing more than a twinkle in their parents’ eyes when 9/11 occurred. They never lived in a version of America without the Transportation Security Administration or looming terrorist threats. They were born into the aftermath, a world filled with warnings. Don’t play outside unsupervised, don’t take candy from strangers, don’t sit on a bus with your headphones on. Zoomers are well accustomed to a world where safety is the primary concern because threats are always dangling nearby. They were raised in the era of “cancel culture” and closed dialogue.

Forced tolerance sets one up to tolerate being conquered and oppressed, the opposite of keeping them safe. The assassination has infuriated many generations; but it seems unlikely to change the fundamental traits of any of them, such as attention span. I'll be surprised if Gen Z doesn't just revert to apathy before the ink is dry on Charlie's death certificate.

#2: I'm a little more optimistic about Gen Z than you. In fact, I'm counting on them to save this country from their immediate predecessors, the Millennials -- who gave us two terms of Obama and many of whom couldn't figure out why they couldn't move out of their parents' basements until Donald Trump was in the White House. Dull knives, if you get my drift. I don't sense that from Gen Z. As for Kirk, his accomplishments are admirable, but I'm not struck in quite the same way as younger people are. In my case, what Kirk has been selling today I bought from Ronald Reagan decades ago. Charlie Kirk may have been this generation's Ronald Reagan, and so for those of us who are older, I have one suggestion for a way to put his death into a context we might better appreciate: As those who know the man's bio know, Ronald Reagan criss-crossed the country by rail in the 1950s, meeting people in towns large and small everywhere in America to discuss the issues of the day. That's the history. But imagine he'd been assassinated at one of his stops. Our history would be quite different. That, I think, is the impact being felt by Gen Z.

An Illinois TV anchor has resigned from a local ABC-affiliated station after she said she was suspended for airing a tearjerking “non-partisan tribute” to her mentor, Charlie Kirk, following his assassination. Beni Rae Harmony announced she was leaving WICS-ABC20 Springfield on Monday after she allegedly faced retaliation from the station for airing the emotional 1-minute and 17-second tribute on Friday. “Many in the mainstream media have been fired or punished for mocking his assassination,” Harmony wrote on X. “I believe I am the first to be targeted for honoring him on air.” Harmony told her followers that her resignation “is guided by values that are essential to who I am,

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez on Monday called for Israel to be banned from sports events after pro-Palestinian activists disrupted the end of the Spanish Vuelta cycling race in chaotic scenes in Madrid. Israel’s foreign minister responded by calling Sánchez an “antisemite and a liar.” Tensions between the countries have escalated in recent weeks as Spain’s left-wing government expressed support for protesters who interrupted several stages of the Vuelta, including Sunday’s final stage in Madrid, because an Israeli team was taking part. Speaking to members of his Socialist Party, Sánchez said Israel, just like Russia, should not be allowed to compete in international sports because of its military campaign in Gaza.

The FBI has reportedly widened its investigation into the assassination of Charlie Kirk to include radical leftist groups in Utah to determine whether they helped the suspect or had foreknowledge of his plan. Several transgender social media accounts made self-incriminating comments before and after suspect Tyler Robinson murdered Kirk at a TPUSA event at Utah Valley University in Orem on September 10. The ammunition inside the rifle used to shoot Kirk was engraved with cryptic messages of transgender and antifascist ideology. Robinson was arrested on Friday in connection with the murder after his father persuaded him to turn himself in. The 22-year-old is reportedly not cooperating with investigators.

As The Post reported Sunday, law enforcement was already probing whether pro-trans online groups, sexualized animal-obsessed “furries” and others connected with Robinson had advance knowledge of his alleged murderous plans. The groups include communities on the online gaming platform Steam,

President Trump’s nominee to join the Federal Reserve’s Board of Governors, Stephen Miran, was confirmed by the full Senate on Monday — while an appeals court denied the commander in chief’s effort to remove embattled central banker Lisa Cook ahead of a key meeting on interest rates. The Senate voted 48-47 to confirm Miran’s nomination — with Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) joining all Democrats in voting against Trump’s pick for the central bank. The president tapped Miran, head of the Council of Economic Advisers (CEA), to replace Adriana Kugler, a Biden appointee who abruptly stepped down last month.

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) filed a resolution Monday to censure Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and strip the “Squad” lawmaker of all her committee assignments over “vile comments mocking the assassination” of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. “Ilhan Omar has shown us exactly who she is: someone who defends political violence and refuses to condemn the loss of innocent lives when it doesn’t suit her agenda, even the cold-blooded assassination of Charlie Kirk,” Mace said in a statement. “If you mock a political assassination and celebrate murder, you don’t get to keep your committee seat, you get consequences,” the congresswoman added.

They have done something more interesting, more technical, and in its way, more subversive. They bought more shares of MicroStrategy, Michael Saylor’s publicly traded Trojan horse for Bitcoin. For a bureaucracy that manages roughly $17 billion in assets, the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) is not known for boldness. It is designed to be boring. It sprinkles funds across the usual asset classes:

As soon as Charlie Kirk was assassinated, the pundit class starting wringing its collective hands about retribution. But instead of acts of vengeance, instead of looting and burning down buildings, instead of terrorizing communities, Charlie Kirk’s supporters … held prayer vigils. In fact, the only violence that we’ve seen so far has been instigated by leftists, who showed up at some of these vigils with a clear intention of stirring up hostility. In Idaho, a scuffle broke out – at a candlelight service – after a man on a scooter with a rainbow backpack started yelling “F*** Charlie Kirk.” He continued to scream and shout obscenities as he left, apparently unharmed.

The U.N. General Assembly voted overwhelmingly Friday to support a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict and urge Israel to commit to a Palestinian state, which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vehemently opposes. The 193-member world body approved a nonbinding resolution endorsing the “New York Declaration,” which sets out a phased plan to end the nearly 80-year conflict. The vote was 142-10 with 12 abstentions. Hours before the vote, Netanyahu said “there will be no Palestinian state.” He spoke at the signing of an agreement to expand settlements that will divide the West Bank, which the Palestinians insist must be part of their state, saying, “This place belongs to us.”

In the aftermath of the assassination of Charlie Kirk by a violently deranged and hate-filled leftist (yes, that is a confirmed fact), some on the hard Left have been publicly expressing justifications for, and even celebrations of, the murder. These ghouls do not represent America, nor do they represent America's center-left coalition writ large. Many politicians, public figures and private citizens on the 'progressive' end of the spectrum have prominently and unequivocally denounced the killing. This must be acknowledged and embraced with gratitude by all people of good will. The forces of decency must stand together against the cancer of political violence and twisted vigilantism.

Something fundamental shifted in Britain on September 13, 2025. In the heart of London, a sea of flags unfurled and hundreds of thousands...no, millions of ordinary men and women marched together for an idea: That Britain must remain Britain, that its borders must be defended, and that its culture, heritage, and people deserve respect. Or else. Naturally, the mainstream press dutifully downplayed the numbers, claiming “just” 110,000 to 150,000 attended. But I was there, and I can assure you that nobody who was there believes it. It was far larger, at least one million, but probably nearer three. And it did not appear out of nowhere.
