Esperanza Yanez, an attorney employed by the Nashville Public Defender’s Office, published at least four posts to social media claiming her lack of “empathy” for the assassination of Charlie Kirk was justified by claiming the Turning Point USA founder was a “fascist organizer.” Yanez first publicly commented on Kirk’s assassination on Wednesday afternoon, only hours after he was killed, when she claimed that Kirk, “said he loved the genocide occurring in Palestine and wanted to see more of it,” before adding an emoji depicting a woman shrugging. Hours later, Yanez (pictured above) wrote in another post, “demanding empathy for a hateful person like this is insane,”

Don't see any mention of her being put "on leave" of her duties pending termination. Who has the authority to do this in Tennessee? I know the nut-job mayor will do nothing. Does the governor have the authority to step in and terminate her? If so, what is he waiting for?

This dimwit would not know what a fascist is if one bit her on her A55. Fascists do NOT engage with dissent - they destroy it. FACT. Take it to the bank. Today's leftists are global fascists. They insist that the rights of the individual be sacrificed at the alter of globalism. THAT is what fascism is. It is the state trampling on personal liberties for 'the common good'. Words mean things, as Rush Limbaugh used to say... but I have yet to hear a liberal utter anything that tells me they have a clue what the word 'fascism' means.

Unfortunately, nothing will happen to her other than maybe a slap on the wrist in the form of a written reprimand. Nashville is a big time leftist city run by Democrat good old boys for many decades and the powers that be are unlikely to do anything besides issue a message to the press that she has been officially reprimanded. There is no empathy in Metro government for those on the right.
