Pentagon calls Charlie Kirk posts ‘domestic
terrorism’; Dem warns discipline is ‘un-American’

The Pentagon is not backing down from its quest for consequences for those who celebrate Charlie Kirk’s killing, even as Democrats warn the move is "un-American" and violates free speech protections. The controversy underscores a clash between military discipline and First Amendment rights, with top Pentagon officials arguing that celebrating the killing of an American political figure is unacceptable conduct for service members — while Democrats counter that the crackdown risks punishing constitutionally protected speech. "Hunting down and prosecuting service members for their individual political beliefs is dangerous and un-American," Rep. Jason Crow, D-Colo., a former Army Ranger, wrote on X.

Citizens in the military, by necessity, have a limited subset of Constitutional Rights. They know it. They accept it. Sort of the ultimate - "Terms and Conditions Apply" Courts will speak on what those limits are...

If you are in the military, you have to follow their rules. If you don't like it, quit. And exactly #1! Democrats want everything both ways. They don't care about the 1st amendment any more than they care about the Constitution overall. The examples are many. The good one mentioned lately is the rodeo clown in Missouri who lost his job simply because he wore an Obama mask. They have no standing to lecture about free speech.

Hey, Dems... With Freedom, comes responsibility. If you don't take responsibility for your actions, then there are consequences. You idiots talk about violence all the time - yet you are the violent ones. You expect us to sit back and take it, forever? Won't happen. You as a group, killed Charlie Kirk, who was a fine man, not hateful at all, expect he answered your challenges and pointed out how your paths were wrong. You could not defeat him at debate, so you took his life, left his wife and children desolate, and then danced on his grave? Payment is due. We are collecting. Be glad we don't plan to do to you what you did to Charlie Kirk.

I always believed (and still do) that any citizen in the military has the same tights as any other citizen. Neither congress nor the military has the right to legislate that away. Those people just arent at the constitutional level no matter how great the stated "need". The flip side of that coin is if I choose to exercise those rights and make them look bad, they have the right to kick me out. Remember when people WANTED kicked out? I miss those days.

I would point out that support murder is supporting anarchy. Members of the military take an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States. By supporting anarchy they are in violation of that oath. Thus, they cannot be trusted to carry out their duty. This is reason enough to discharge them.

Celebrating murder as a solution to political opposition is the same as advocating further murder to do the same. Last time I looked, that makes you a terrorist, a threat to the public, and a criminal. This is not about free speech; it's about national survival and domestic terrorism advocacy. Separate these people from society to protect their intended victims, before this mental aberration gets totally out of control.

So for the Democrats, incitement is now First Amendment protected free speech when they do it, but when any conservative utters a policy position contrary to the ones endorsed by Democrats, it's "violence" that can be shut up by violence including murder... I think I've heard enough...

The 1st Amendment protects citizens from prosecution by the government so long as speech does not incite violence or overthrow of the government. No one has been hunted down or prosecuted for their speech regarding Charlie Kirk. Employment is not a right. We continue employment at the pleasure of our employers. The congress would do well to go back to the concept of The Majority versus The Loyal Opposition in the Legislature. I realize that politics is not a game of bean bag, but neither should it be a Hunger Game.

In myth or fictional movies, there's always a hero who does the heroic stuff. In history, though, there are heroes who perform such incredible feats of courage and valor that they're added to history. Add a generation or two, and that history becomes legend. Add another generation or two, and that legend becomes mythic. When Rome trembled before foreign hosts, in ancient times, one man stood at the opening of a narrow wooden bridge across the Tiber River. After the Etruscans attacked, the Romans panicked, and the bridge behind Horatius had to be destroyed before the enemy could use it. Scarred, one-eyed Horatius Cocles refused to yield, fighting until

In the aftermath of the assassination of Charlie Kirk by a violently deranged and hate-filled leftist (yes, that is a confirmed fact), some on the hard Left have been publicly expressing justifications for, and even celebrations of, the murder. These ghouls do not represent America, nor do they represent America's center-left coalition writ large. Many politicians, public figures and private citizens on the 'progressive' end of the spectrum have prominently and unequivocally denounced the killing. This must be acknowledged and embraced with gratitude by all people of good will. The forces of decency must stand together against the cancer of political violence and twisted vigilantism.

Some top Trump officials have made some not-so-helpful remarks about free speech and hate speech, namely from Attorney General Pam Bondi. I don’t think the government should be the point of the lance in targeting people who say insane things. We, as citizens, do a fine job exposing those creeps—there have been hordes of professionals fired or placed on leave for gross posts celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk. We’ll revisit that later, but, of course, CNN was aghast at this, with host Abby Phillip trying to spin this as a move to punish the Left and President Trump’s political rivals. That’s such a juvenile, knee-jerk take.

English and United Kingdom flags were everywhere.
