Actress Jamie Lee Curtis wept over the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk despite her disagreeing with him “on almost every point” she ever heard him say. The Halloween actress broke into tears when discussing the topic during an appearance on Marc Maron’s podcast released on Monday after being pre-recorded last Friday. “I disagreed with him on almost every point I ever heard him say, but I believe he was a man of faith, and I hope in that moment when he died, that he felt connected with his faith,” she said.

She got the message. All these nasty actors calling us stupid and cheering the deaths of conservatives are starting to feel it in their pocketbooks.

She's weeping because "we" are bombarded with images... try taking a hit to your neck. She's an extremely talented actress (See: The Bear, streaming on HULU) but she cycles too quickly between emotions. It's performative.

I think this lady's mind set is similar to Democrats who profess themselves to be Christians. She has some sort of awareness of Jesus Christ (she first mistakenly called Charlie Kirk "Charlie Chris" she said because of Christ). But she says she disagreed with almost everything he said. The Democrat Party disagrees with almost everything the Bible says is true, yet many members consider themselves to be Christians. God is the judge, but He has given us the Bible to guide us. What exactly did Charlie Kirk say that was contrary to the Bible? On the contrary, his principles and speech very much were consistent with Scripture. Democrats, please consider what your party stands for in light of the Bible.

I doubt Jamie Lee Curtis ever listened to Charlie Kirk. She may have seen a clip or a post on someone's sight that stated what they thought Charlie was speaking about. I recommend she spend a few hours listening to him and how he talked WITH the people on those campus visits. He welcomed one and all to freely express their views - and to Prove Me Wrong.

Jamie Lee Curtis has written multiple times about being raised to a leftist household and how stultifying that could be. She made a point of trying to connect with people she didn't agree with for that very reason. And did the same for her children. Dennis Miller, who is one of those people, had nothing but kind things to say about her. She seems to be a good person who grew up and beyond the difficult family life she faced as a child.

The culture war wasn’t just a metaphor at Utah Valley University last week. We need to learn more about Tyler Robinson, the alleged assassin of Charlie Kirk, but based on what we know so far he represents the polar opposite of Kirk in every important respect. The young man with the transgender boyfriend shot the young man with the wife and two kids. The guy with a reported interest in “furries” killed the guy with an interest in spreading the Gospel. The believer in gender fluidity murdered the believer in traditional gender roles. In cultural terms, it was aberrant versus normal

A dozen or so years ago, the magazine rack at your grocery store was your cheat code for popular culture: The covers revealed EXACTLY where we were as a country. After all, magazine editors chose their covers to maximize sales. Which meant that the cover photos (and cover stories) were kind of like mini billboards, advertising whatever content was most meaningful to their target audience. For marketers and/or propagandists, it provided invaluable insight. But no longer. Today, paper-and-ink magazines are deader than the dodo. They’re the equivalent of vinyl records: Some people still swear by ‘em, but they’re no longer mainstream. Instead, we’ve gotta look at digital headlines.

In the aftermath of the assassination of Charlie Kirk by a violently deranged and hate-filled leftist (yes, that is a confirmed fact), some on the hard Left have been publicly expressing justifications for, and even celebrations of, the murder. These ghouls do not represent America, nor do they represent America's center-left coalition writ large. Many politicians, public figures and private citizens on the 'progressive' end of the spectrum have prominently and unequivocally denounced the killing. This must be acknowledged and embraced with gratitude by all people of good will. The forces of decency must stand together against the cancer of political violence and twisted vigilantism.

A judge has thrown out the top counts in Luigi Mangione’s state murder case – rejecting claims that the accused killer can be charged as a terrorist — in a huge blow to prosecutors. In a ruling released Tuesday, Judge Gregory Carro tossed charges of murder in the first degree as an act of terrorism and murder in the second degree as a crime of terrorism against the 27-year-old Ivy League grad. The judge did keep alive Mangione’s other second-degree murder charge. The decision means that Mangione still faces 25-years-to-life in the state case, but not the 25 years to life without the possibility of parole that he had been facing.
