The guardians of Arizona’s state pension fund have not suddenly turned into hoodie-wearing crypto bros shouting “HODL” from a Tempe rooftop. They have done something more interesting, more technical, and in its way, more subversive. They bought more shares of MicroStrategy, Michael Saylor’s publicly traded Trojan horse for Bitcoin. For a bureaucracy that manages roughly $17 billion in assets, the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) is not known for boldness. It is designed to be boring. How can anything without being backed up by any tangible assets be a good investment? Bitcoin is a perfect example.

Don't get caught holding the hot potato! How many people encouraging the state pension to invest in crypto are invested themselves? This isn't governing. This is a bunch of people looking to make a quick buck at the expense of everyone else. Oops! The state pension ended up with the hot potato! Too bad.

Thank goodness I have zero dollars in the Arizona State Retirement System. I see these cryptocurrencies as pure scams, just waiting to vanish into the ether with a keystroke, intentionally or accidentally.

A Study In Contrasts: Riots vs. Prayer Vigils 5 replies

As soon as Charlie Kirk was assassinated, the pundit class starting wringing its collective hands about retribution. But instead of acts of vengeance, instead of looting and burning down buildings, instead of terrorizing communities, Charlie Kirk’s supporters … held prayer vigils. In fact, the only violence that we’ve seen so far has been instigated by leftists, who showed up at some of these vigils with a clear intention of stirring up hostility. In Idaho, a scuffle broke out – at a candlelight service – after a man on a scooter with a rainbow backpack started yelling “F*** Charlie Kirk.” He continued to scream and shout obscenities as he left, apparently unharmed.

The U.N. General Assembly voted overwhelmingly Friday to support a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict and urge Israel to commit to a Palestinian state, which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vehemently opposes. The 193-member world body approved a nonbinding resolution endorsing the “New York Declaration,” which sets out a phased plan to end the nearly 80-year conflict. The vote was 142-10 with 12 abstentions. Hours before the vote, Netanyahu said “there will be no Palestinian state.” He spoke at the signing of an agreement to expand settlements that will divide the West Bank, which the Palestinians insist must be part of their state, saying, “This place belongs to us.”

Dr. Anthony Fauci has been asked to return to Congress to answer questions about emails uncovered by Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) showing the former White House COVID-19 czar asking colleagues to “delete” messages, according to copies obtained by The Post. Fauci, who helmed the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases for decades, in two email chains asked other public health officials — including then-National Institutes of Health Director Dr. Francis Collins — to send his emails to the trash bin after reading them. One of the communications from Feb. 2, 2020, revealed the ex-NIAID head imploring Collins to “Please delete this e-mail after you read it”

It is almost a quarter-century now since the Sept. 11, 2001 jihad attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people in New York City and Washington. Many Americans assume that the jihad threat was somehow neutralized and contained in the immediate aftermath of those attacks, such that a large-scale jihad attack can never happen again in America, and the public discourse has moved on to other issues: mass migration, skyrocketing crime in the cities, tariffs, and the like. In reality, however, the jihad against the U.S. has not ended, and in the near-quarter century since 9/11, the jihadis have made immense gains.

Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts has handed a temporary victory to President Donald Trump by keeping in place the Trump administration’s freeze on foreign aid for the time being. The decision puts nearly $5 billion in funding on hold. Trump told House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) in a letter at the end of last month that he wouldn’t spend $4.9 billion in foreign aid that Congress approved. It’s what we call a “pocket rescission,” in which the president requests that Congress not spend certain approved funds. “This case raises questions of immense legal and practical importance,

Sudan's brutal civil war... is not just a clash between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and their former military allies turned rivals, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). It is a calculated power grab by the Muslim Brotherhood, which appears to be using the SAF as a Trojan horse to dominate northeast Africa and the Red Sea, a critical artery for global commerce. The Muslim Brotherhood, sponsored by Qatar, appears to be hijacking the SAF to stage a takeover, recycling old alliances under new guises. Despite recent concessions to the United States and Egypt,

Charlotte, NC Mayor Vi Lyles says she’s disappointed that the video of the shocking murder of Iryna Zarutska “is now public” and thanked media outlets for not “sharing” the brutal footage. Appalling: While Lyles now pretends the blackout was to show “respect for Iryna’s family,” her statement two weeks back to a local news reporter makes it plain her concern was for the vagrant arrested for the deadly stabbing. Bull: Lyles wanted the video out of sight not because she cares for how the family feels, but because it exposes the corruption and menace that lurks right under the surface in our crime-ridden cities.

The deranged homeless man charged with butchering a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee on a Charlotte train was free on cashless bail after a magistrate released him with just a “written promise” to show up for court — despite a nearly two-decade history of violence and mental illness. Decarlos Brown Jr., 34, was arrested at least 14 times in North Carolina for crimes ranging from assault and firearms possession to felony robbery and larceny dating back to 2007. His own mother told local TV station WSOC that her son was schizophrenic and should never have been allowed to roam the streets.

France’s government was toppled in a vote of no confidence on Monday, forcing President Emmanuel Macron to search for his fourth prime minister in 12 months — and throwing the EU’s second largest economy into chaos. Premier François Bayrou was ousted overwhelmingly in a 364-194 vote against him, losing an apparent gamble that lawmakers would back his push for France to slash public spending to repay its debts. The 74-year-old centrist was instead voted out, ending his short-lived minority government after being appointed by Macron in December. What the left’s public execution of Charlie Kirk has done to mobilize the MAGA movement is something I never expected to see. For more than 20 years, I’ve been a part of the conservative movement. Never a mover or shaker, but a cog happy to be overpaid to do my part. And an observer. Always an observer. Last week, after the terrible news arrived that Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk had been assassinated, I observed something remarkable. It was so remarkable, it’s difficult to find the words, but I’ll try… It was as if some years ago someone downloaded a computer program directly into the fractured and fragile right-of-center movement,

WASHINGTON — Charlie Kirk’s alleged shooter Tyler Robinson was living with a transgender partner who was in the process of transitioning from a male to a female, a law enforcement source confirmed to The Post Saturday. That individual, who has yet to be identified by the authorities, is now fully cooperating with the FBI on its investigation into the fatal shooting of the conservative activist, the source added. The relationship was first reported by Fox News’ Brooke Singman. Text messages and other communications that the transgender individual traded with Robinson, 22, helped the feds nab the accused assassin. Federal and

Australia is once again trying to return to its roots as a prison colony, as the state of New South Wales reaffirmed that it is illegal to pray that “transgender” people will accept the sexes God gave them. It is difficult to wrap one’s mind around the fact that formerly Christian Western “democracies” like Scotland and Australia are actually enacting laws against prayer. Australia’s New South Wales (NSW) enacted a law earlier this year that the state’s attorney general, Michael Daley, just affirmed does in fact ban not only praying with but praying for people to recover from the mental illness

Vast crowds of Britons waving the Union Jack and St George flags descended on central London on Saturday for the “Unite the Kingdom” rally organised by veteran anti-grooming gang activist Tommy Robinson. The demonstration comes in the wake of local protests throughout the country over the Summer in opposition to the mass migration agenda imposed upon the UK and the government scheme to house supposed asylum seekers in hotels at taxpayers’ expense, which became a flashpoint of anger following the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl by an illegal immigrant from Ethiopia living in a hotel in Epping. Office Depot is facing backlash and even boycott calls after a Michigan store allegedly refused to print a poster of slain conservative commentator Charlie Kirk for a vigil, with a GOP official blasting the company online and calling the move censorship. Matthew DePerno, an attorney and Republican activist, said the Kalamazoo County Republican Party ordered the poster at 2:24 p.m. Friday from the Office Depot in Portage, MI, for a vigil honoring Kirk scheduled for that evening. But around 5:30 p.m., DePerno said a store print supervisor named “Beryl” called and told organizers the order would not be completed because the poster was “propaganda.”

Following the assassination of Charlie Kirk, there was a sigh of relief when the suspected shooter finally got caught. But now, according to reports, investigators are looking into whether this was more than just a radicalized young man with a gun and perhaps part of a bigger conspiracy. While the alleged shooter, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, sits in custody, the FBI’s probe is beginning to suggest that this was no simple case of a disturbed individual snapping. What’s emerging looks far more deliberate, disturbingly organized, and rooted in the leftist networks that have turned political violence into a feature of modern activism.
