Fried and furious. Disturbing footage captured the moment a massive melee broke out on a Carnival Cruise ship among fuming passengers seemingly upset over “chicken tenders.” The violence among about two dozen brawlers erupted aboard the Sunshine at about 2 a.m. Monday — the last day of its voyage — as the ship was heading back to Miami, according to a passenger who filmed the mayhem.

Cracker Barrel has unveiled its first major rebrand in nearly 50 years, swapping out its old-fashioned logo and rustic interiors for a sleeker, more modern look. The company says the redesign honors its history while refreshing the brand for the future. But online, MAGA supporters are in full meltdown mode, accusing the chain of “going woke” and blaming its CEO for betraying the brand’s values. The company said in a press release that the new logo is “now rooted even more closely to the iconic barrel shape and word mark that started it all.”

If any governor should know the risks of sending the National Guard to police an American city, it should be the governor of Ohio. Everyone in Ohio knows what happened on May 4, 1970, when National Guard troops opened fire on anti-war protesters at Kent State University. Four protesters were killed and nine others wounded, including one who was paralyzed from the waist down. [Snip] He’s sending them to police American civilians and further Trump’s political agenda, which includes normalizing the deployment of military troops on the streets of American communities even when local leaders don’t want them there.

Cracker Barrel CEO Julie Masino has responded to the backlash against the company's bizarre woke rebrand, and it's as bad as you might imagine.[snip] When asked why Cracker Barrel was making all these changes, Masino's corporate-speak didn't fail with her reply that "Cracker Barrel needs to feel like the Cracker Barrel for today and for tomorrow." Strahan then asked the CEO about how the new look has prompted numerous videos on social media slamming it, and she just brushed it off. "Honestly, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive that people like what we are doing," Masino responded.

It might be easy to dismiss the growing unrest in Britain, where crowds of fed-up and violently angry citizens are suddenly taking to the streets to end what they see as the tyranny of woke multiculturalism and horribly failed immigration policies. But right now, it looks as if the country could be nearing some kind of national breakdown or split, one with major global ramifications.
Are we going a little too far in seeing a possible breakup or civil war? Not at all. The social pressures from a near non-stop influx of immigrants, legal and illegal, have been building for

A New York appeals court Thursday threw out the massive $464 million judgment dealt to President Trump after he was found liable at a civil trial for business fraud.
The Appellate Division, First Department overturned the whopping fine in the case in which Trump, 78, was found to have fraudulently inflated his net worth by billions of dollars over a decade to get better loan and insurance terms.
Trump would have had to pay a total of more than $500 million, including more than $100 million in interest, had the February 2024 ruling from Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron been upheld.
The appeal court’s decision follows a theatric 11-week trial

As reported earlier, in a huge blow to Letitia James and Biden’s prosecutors, a New York Appeals Court threw out the massive civil fraud penalty against President Trump on Thursday.
New York Attorney General Letitia James lashed out after a New York Appeals Court threw out the $515 million judgement against Trump.
James said she is going to appeal the decision so she can continue to go after Trump.
“The First Department today affirmed the well-supported finding of the trial court: Donald Trump, his company, and two of his children are liable for fraud,” Letitia James said.

Everything is caused or not caused by climate change. It is the inevitable, never-changing source of blame for any societal ill, real or imagined, but largely imagined. Rain? Climate change. No rain? Climate change. Flood? Climate change. Dought? Climate Change. Tuesday? Climate change. Trump? Climate change. Dogs? Climate change.
What?! Dogs?! Dogs, as MPR News explains: (X) "People over-assign impact to actually pretty low-impact actions such as recycling, and underestimate the actual carbon impact of behaviors much more carbon intensive, like flying or eating meat," said Madalina Vlasceanu, report co-author and professor of environmental social sciences at Stanford University.
The top three individual actions that help the climate, including avoiding plane flights,

When she's not busying painting the border wall black, it looks like Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Kristi Noem could be making plans for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to own and operate its own fleet of airplanes in order to expedite deportations. The idea makes so much sense that even a Biden administration official thinks it's a good idea. [Tweet]
A report popped up Wednesday that Noem was looking to use an influx of cash into ICE, courtesy of the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB), to equip the agency with the equivalent of its own airline

The far-left Washington Post obviously wants Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth dead. Nothing else explains why the Post published a story 1) revealing the Secretary’s security protocols, and 2) complaining he has too much security.
If there is one truism about our regime media, it’s that they only complain about spending when it comes to protecting everyday American people through defense spending, or protecting Republicans with security details.
We p*ss away trillions on welfare fraud, abortions, public schools, taxpayer benefits for illegal aliens, and antisemitic propaganda from NPR and PBS… Nevertheless, outlets like the Post only fight for more spending on all that. But when it comes to protecting the people they hate

On Wednesday, Aug. 20, a federal jury convicted Jinchao Wei, also known as Patrick Wei, of espionage and export violations.
Wei was an active-duty U.S. Navy sailor stationed at Naval Base San Diego when he agreed to sell Navy secrets to a Chinese intelligence officer for $12,000.
The jury deliberated for one day before it convicted Wei of six counts, including conspiracy to commit espionage, espionage, and unlawful export of, and conspiracy to export, technical data related to defense articles in violation of the Arms Export Control Act and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
Court documents say that Wei was a machinist’s mate for the amphibious assault ship U.S.S. Essex.

The Pavlovian Left goes berserk at the mere prospect of each new Trump initiative. Its escalating reactive venom and hysteria are calibrated to the success of Trump’s latest policy. Yet the new hard-left Democratic Party offers no counter-agenda to explain its furor. Still less do Democrats attempt bipartisan efforts to craft shared legislation.
Take foreign policy. Democrat senators trashed the recent Trump-Putin Alaskan summit as a failure. Then they became depressed when, just days later, an entourage of European leaders and President Zelensky of Ukraine suddenly flew to the White House.
