A Michigan city council member was caught on camera stuffing an election drop box with apparent absentee ballots just days before he won his re-election bid in a local primary. Hamtramck City Council member Abu Musa was seen in the passenger seat of a car on Aug. 1 handing stacks of paper to the car’s driver, who then dumped them into a nearby ballot box, footage obtained by Local 4 appears to show. Musa held on to his re-election spot in the primary four days later on Aug. 5, beating out 11 other candidates with 1,129 votes.

Mail in ballots, except for the disabled and elderly, people out of the country on Election Day, along with members of the Armed Forces should be outlawed. Knowing that the leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrats will oppose that change, as there is no doubt that they receive a massive number of fraudulent mail in votes through that mail in ballot process.

The fix is easy. Any drop boxes must have ATM style technology (camera, time/date stamp) and only allow 1 ballot to be submitted at a time (no more bulk dumping as they'll have to insert one at a time). Every drop box must have the same number of ballots inside and collected with tracking number. Only those ballots picked up would be in any collection bag/container/box which also has a number and tracking capabilities (think RFID type device -- Apple tag). A public announcement advising how many registered voters at least 90 days prior to the first ballots being sent out, or available. Every ballot will have a number and a tracking ability much like UPS and the USPS enable people to track their mail or packages. Any registration after that 90 day cut-off will be provisional as they will need to be verified. None of these ideas infringe on anyone's ability to legally vote and does not impact people.

Re#12 It would be easier to ban absentee ballots without a valid reason. And they have to be mailed in to arrive by election day. If people can mail in their rent, utility, mortgage and car payments on time, they can mail in a ballot on time.

afaik, there's an error here: absentee ballots have lots of procedure and identification to complete: to request-fill in- return-be approved by the election staffers-who then send out the ballot to the known address info on file in the office of elections. this only happens when dates certain are met. loads more info and signatures -to be matched- are required. i call to verify receipt by the elections office. a mail-in ballot is a rubbish imitation, stuffed in a dirty dumpster, filled in w/ rubbish info, picked up with stealth in the dark of night, delivered in bulk, to other garbage actors w/ rubbish motives to trash the integrity of our elections. not the same thing.

The black community’s disengagement from ordinary acts of civic responsibility is harming America as a whole, but mostly, it’s harming blacks. To save their communities, blacks need to reengage with what was once normative polite conduct across American society. To appreciate this point, consider the tales told by abandoned shopping carts and litter. The lack of such betrays itself in far more malignant ways as well, and we’re seeing that across the country, particularly in videos: Spirit Airlines airport counters. Six Flags parks.
