Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) is a barrel of laughs. She’s feisty and doesn’t take any crap from the GOP. She’s perfectly willing to allow her detractors to view her as mentally ill. She’s ready to deliver haymakers—the problem is that her trainer is trash. The Atlantic did a lengthy profile piece on the Democratic congresswoman, some of which is run-of-the-mill Americana: she was educated privately, reportedly subjected to racism in college, got interested in the law because of those incidents, and went about building her profile by defending Black Lives Matter defendants. She had a brief stint in the Texas legislature before sharking her way up to Congress.

Today marks the first anniversary of the slaughter at Southport - at one of those summer-resort activities you sign your kids up for, with nary a thought. In this case, it was a Taylor Swift dance-class, from which three little girls never came home: Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine years old; Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven; and Bebe King six. As Lucy Connolly could tell us if she weren't rotting in Starmer's Lubyanka, nothing is more traumatising than the death of a child. [snip] This is not how functioning nation-states are meant to live. As someone said, over and over across the decades, diversity is where nations go to die.

Cincinnati police have identified at least four suspects in the brutal beatings of a white man and white woman by a mostly Black mob Friday night in the downtown area of the city, according to the local Fraternal Order of Police and Fox News.
Videos and screen images of the attack went viral over the weekend, drawing comments from Ohio native Vice President J.D. Vance, head of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights division Harmeet Dhillon who said she is monitoring the case and Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH).

Four decades ago I was sitting having a cup of tea in Bramerton Street in Chelsea, just off the King's Road. It was the home of Alan Jay Lerner, author of Brigadoon, Paint Your Wagon, My Fair Lady, Gigi, Camelot, and much else. Alan was not as wealthy as he'd been two decades earlier, because he'd carelessly acquired seven ex-wives and was in the umpteenth year of a long-running dispute with the IRS. But I couldn't understand why, as a man awash in Oscars and Tonys and whatnot, he chose to live not in New York but in London, {snip}Britain's government has decided to lower the voting age to sixteen.

NYC-issued debit cards meant to pay participants working in a summer youth program were instead used by scammers who nabbed $17 million over a three-day period earlier this month, sources told The Post.
The scam — the subject of an ongoing fraud probe — led to ATMs across the Big Apple being banged for big bucks from July 11 to July 13, with the cash ending up in the wrong hands rather than kids and young adults in the Summer Youth Employment Program, officials said.[snip]
However, an error allowed the cards to access massive payments of up $40,000 per ATM.

At least 11 people were stabbed in a bloody scene inside a Michigan Walmart Saturday night — causing terrified shoppers and employees to flee — before a brave armed citizen helped detain the knife-wielding maniac, according to police, witnesses and harrowing video.
The terror unfolded around 5 p.m. when the alleged 42-year-old male attacker began randomly stabbing shoppers with a “standard” folding knife in various sections of the big-box chain store in Traverse City, about 255 miles northwest of Detroit, Grand Traverse County Sheriff Michael Shea said. [snip]
Video of the chaotic scene showed the unidentified suspect surrounded by shouting bystanders, including the armed good Samaritan.

Maine Representative Deqa Dhalac (D), a Somali immigrant turned state legislator, recently stirred controversy by declaring that her priority is developing “our country of Somalia” rather than serving American interests. Dhalac’s admission exposes a troubling allegiance to foreign priorities at a time of growing concern over immigrant loyalty and national identity.
During a recent appearance on ABC News, Dhalac faced some questioning about her intent, and others defending her focus on supporting global communities while serving locally. Dhalac was born in Mogadishu, Somalia,

The head of the NYPD’s Aviation Unit was booted from the elite squad this week after trying to block the feds from probing his dangerous mishaps, The Post has learned.
Aviation’s Commanding Officer Winston Faison was an “incompetent boob” who had numerous breaches in safety as he attempted to make himself the unit’s head helicopter instructor, whistleblowers revealed.
When FAA inspectors made a surprise visit to the base on July 16 because of internal complaints to the agency, Faison flipped his lid, police sources said. “Do not give them anything!’” he barked at his cops, an insider said. “Who let them on the base?”

Far-left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez flouted House ethics rules by accepting more than $3,700 in rented apparel and other gifts for her notorious appearance at the 2021 Met Gala — including a glitzy gown emblazoned with “Tax The Rich” in blood-red letters and a free ticket for her then-boyfriend Riley Roberts — but paying fewer than $1,000 for the goodies.
The House Ethics Committee faulted the Bronx and Queens “Squad” member for not complying with its regulation on gifts and improperly giving Roberts a free ride to the annual charity event put on by Vogue grande dame Anna Wintour — but said it wouldn’t sanction her further.

I’m going to be nice to Jessica Tarlov in the sense that she’s too smart to peddle this talking point. She must know it’s brutally dishonest, but she said it yesterday and got her head bitten off by Greg Gutfeld. The two co-hosts on The Five got into it over the recent document dumps by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, which show that Barack Obama, John Brennan, James Comey, James Clapper, and others manufactured intelligence to promote a fake narrative about Russian collusion to destroy Donald Trump.
Tarlov thought it was ridiculous that we’re talking about Hillary Clinton’s emails

A Staten Island native came face to face with the worst of Italy’s migrant crisis this week when he was nearly killed while vacationing in Milan.
Nick Pellegrino was attacked on a train Tuesday by a pair of North African migrants, who stabbed him in the neck with a 5-inch knife before making off with his luggage and jewelry — leaving him to die in a pool of his own blood in his family’s homeland, which has experienced a surge in criminal migrants over the past four years.
“With these very loose, lefty immigration laws, these immigrants come into these countries and they’re running amok, trying to murder people.

On Thursday’s broadcast of CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) said that the government grocery store plan from New York City mayoral candidate Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani (D) is “a new and fresh plan for New York City. But it’s been tried in other cities around the country and has had some real successes.”
Warren stated that Mamdani “said, we’ve got a problem with entire food deserts where people can’t get access to grocery stores. He said, I’d like to take a look at whether or not we can have some kind of — like we do on military bases — you have some kind of support from the city government
