Bernice King on Trump releasing MLK files:
Now do Epstein

Original Article

Bernice King, the youngest daughter of the late Martin Luther King Jr., weighed in on President Trump’s decision to release hundreds of thousands of documents related to her father’s assassination, while urging them to unveil the files tied to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. King’s message came on Monday, shortly after Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard published over 230,000 pages of information related to King’s death in 1968, including details about the FBI’s investigation, memos about the case and the manhunt of shooter James Earl Ray. “Now, do the Epstein files,” she wrote on social platform X, attaching a photo of her father giving a side-eye expression.

Comments:

Is it just me or do others agree that the King family (at least the children) appear to protest too much?! Many of their father's indiscretions are already well known...what are they worried about that we don't already know?

Re OP comment. Instead of wanting the whole truth on their father's assassination they are concerned enough about what might be there that they are tending to align him with Epstein. They definitely protest too much.

According to what I've read, the federal judge in Manhattan controls the release of the Epstein documents not the Trump administration.

The FBI is really supposed to release the "raw" FBI File on MLK, Jr., per the legal standard, "50 year rule," not his assassination file alone. There is salacious information in his 'raw' file that would have been terribly embarrassing for his wife, while she was alive, yet even long after her death, they keep protecting his sexual peccadillos, ad infinitum. Americans have a right to know what this man really was, a sexual predator, who was allegedly unbound to any age or sex.

Bernice, your dad was a fake preacher (he definitely preached a social gospel), a communist, and a serial cheater. There's even reporting that the Montgomery bus boycott was planned and not some random occurrence. Where do you think the bigger snakes, the shakedown twins Jessie and Al were groomed? In your daddy's camp, baby. Stop!

Any time I read about the King children, I am reminded that they sold their father's 'papers' to the US government for $20 million. It must be nice to have a 'name.' It must not matter if it is a good name or a bad name.

If anyone in the future cares enough to write an authentic history of the 2024 presidential campaign, they might begin by noting that American politics exists downstream of American culture, which is a deep and broad river. Like any river, American culture follows a particular path, which has been reconfigured at key moments by new technologies. In turn, these technologies, which redefine both space and time—canals and lakes, the postal system, the telegraph, railroads, radio and later television, the internet, and most recently the networking of billions of people in real time on social media platforms—set the rules by which stories are communicated, audiences are configured, and individuals define themselves.

In his 17-month stint as UF president, Ben Sasse more than tripled his office’s spending, directing millions in university funds into secretive consulting contracts and high-paying positions for his GOP allies. Sasse ballooned spending under the president’s office to $17.3 million in his first year in office — up from $5.6 million in former UF President Kent Fuchs’ last year, according to publicly available administrative budget data. A majority of the spending surge was driven by lucrative contracts with big-name consulting firms and high-salaried, remote positions for Sasse’s former U.S. Senate staff and Republican officials.

Barack Obama has broken his silence on calls from Donald Trump for him to be prosecuted by unequivocally rejecting his successor’s accusations that he tried to engineer a “coup” following Trump’s 2016 election victory by “manufacturing” evidence of Russian interference. Obama’s office took the unusual step of issuing an emphatic refutation after Trump told reporters that his predecessor had “[tried] to lead a coup” against him and was guilty of “treason” over intelligence assessments suggesting that Russia had intervened to help Trump defeat Hillary Clinton in the campaign. “Out of respect for the office of the presidency,
