Trump administration asking for voter

The Trump administration and its associates are allegedly seeking access to voter data and physical inspections of election equipment. The request is raising concerns among local and state election officials over potential interference in the 2026 midterms. The Washington Post first reported the story on Wednesday, July 16. The Post described the outreach as the “most unusual activity” in Colorado, a state President Donald Trump lost in the 2024 election. According to officials, a consultant identified as Jeff Small, who has ties to members of Congress and previously served as Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert’s chief of staff, contacted multiple election offices.

Comments:

No system is in place to prevent any person from having resident voter registration cards on file simultaneously in multiple states, nor preventing any single person from casting Presidential votes in multiple states during National election cycles. Application for a state driver license and/or state resident ID card systematically scans a national database to invalidate any other state's ID issued to that same person. That system is designed to prevent any person from possessing a valid resident ID or DL from more than one state.

I stopped reading when I read "debunked claims about rigged and stolen elections." Not only were they not debunked; they have been proven to be true. Too bad the USSC, and all inferior courts refuse to give even then PDJT 1.0 standing. However, PDJT 2.0 is much more effective, IMHO, in this term than he would have been if he'd had a consecutive term. And instead of him being out of the DemoRoid's hair for 5 months, he will be in their hair for 3 years and 7 months, more. And, we have a much better VP than Judas Pence would have been!

These machines might be impounded, since they were used in the commission of a crime. Of course, to prove that first, one would need the cooperation of those who programmed and ran said machines. Never mind.

"Counting" SIMULTANEOUSLYstopped at 2 am (EST) in 5 swing states on 11/9/2016 with Trump ahead, then magically "resumed" at 5 am with Trump behind. I was sure Republicans would never be allowed to win another Presidential election, and that soon these techniques would be used to ensure perpetual Democrat majorities in the Senate as well, eventuallly the Congress. I would have never guessed Trump would manage to stay out of the Ghulag, let alone win in 4 years. This is going to go down as another one of those events in American History of the right man in the right place at the right time. Election integrity NEEDED this!

Republican Utah Sen. Mike Lee is introducing a bill Thursday to codify President Donald Trump’s executive order to restore equal opportunity and meritocracy in the workplace. Lee’s Restoring Equal Opportunity Act seeks to remove “disparate impact” on minorities in civil rights law, putting equality of opportunity rather than equality of outcome at its bedrock, according to bill text first obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. Republican Texas Rep. Brandon Gill is leading the effort in the House to make into law the executive order addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies. “Disparate impact has undermined equal opportunity in hiring for generations,” Lee said in a statemen

President Donald Trump said he was likely to impose tariffs on pharmaceuticals as soon as the end of the month and that levies on semiconductors could come soon as well, suggesting that those import taxes could hit alongside broad “reciprocal” rates set for implementation on Aug. 1. “Probably at the end of the month, and we’re going to start off with a low tariff and give the pharmaceutical companies a year or so to build, and then we’re going to make it a very high tariff". Trump said he (snip) expected pharmaceutical tariffs to grow as high as 200% after giving companies a year to bring manufacturing back...

Canadian officials are open to considering limits on how much softwood lumber can be exported to the US to try to resolve some of the trade friction between the countries, according to the leader of British Columbia. “We think there's actually an opportunity for lumber to be one of the early agreements and wins that are struck,” Premier David Eby said. “One of the asks for years out of the American coalition has been a quota — that there’s a fixed amount of lumber that gets to come from Canada,”. American lumber producers claim Canadian sawmills are unfairly subsidized because provincial governments set low fees for harvesting timber on public lands.

Canada will restrict tariff-free import of cheap, foreign steel to help domestic manufacturers reeling from levies imposed by the US, Prime Minister Mark Carney has announced. Speaking at a news conference in Ontario, Carney also pledged to diversify its trading partners away from the US and prioritise the use of Canadian steel. The announcement comes in the wake of punitive tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump - first a 25% levy on Canadian steel, later doubling it to 50%. Imports currently account for nearly two-thirds of Canada's steel consumption, while over 90% of Canadian steel exports were destined for the US - a level of dependency he described as "unsustainable".

Nearly 6,000 acres of old Arizona farmland once intended for a residential subdivision is on track to potentially become home to the first big new U.S. copper mine in more than a decade. If all goes as planned, Ivanhoe Electric will begin construction of its Santa Cruz mine early next year and start selling copper cathodes to manufacturers before the end of 2028. That is a blink of an eye in mining, where the time between discoveries and production is often measured in decades. The mine is on an unusually fast track as a result of being on private property along a booming industrial corridor between Phoenix and Tucson.

NATO countries have devised a novel way to provide critical American weaponry to Ukraine for its fight against Russia, and President Trump suggested for the first time that he’s likely to go along with it. Rather than the United States continuing to give its weapons to Ukraine, officials in NATO countries conceived a plan where the Trump administration could sell them to allies, which would then give them to Ukraine. Not only could that be a financial windfall for the United States, it would also shield Mr. Trump — who has expressed skepticism of devoting U.S. military support to Ukraine — from accusations of direct involvement in the war.

As long as he doesn't self-destruct, that is. We're going to see if Mamdani can keep his foot out of his mouth in the next three and a half months and avoid making his support of an "intifada" against Jews any larger of a campaign issue than it already is. Otherwise, there doesn't appear to be anything that can stop his election victory.
