HARTFORD, CT- Once again, Connecticut Democrats have come down on the wrong side of an 80/20 issue. Last week, the House Democratic majority advanced legislation that will force municipalities to abide by the state’s so-called “Trust Act,” which permits “any aggrieved person” to seek an injunction against a municipality or its agents, including police and school employees, that cooperate with federal immigration officials, the CT Mirror reports. The bill was revised after pro-illegal alien advocates argued that municipalities, i.e., police departments, can ignore the state law already in place that defines when police and others can alert federal agents to the location of

Dims don't even care if this is illegal and unconstitutional. It will just provide for another impediment to the Trump administration using the courts. All they really want is to drag their feet till Trump is gone while hoping they can put one of their own in the White House.

Not surprised that a state that would elect Blumenthal and Murphy as Senator and Rosa DeLauro to Congress would pass something this stupid.

Of course, the GOP are loathe to pass a law mandating all states aid and assist federal law enforcement in their efforts to eradicate illegals aliens. They have all the power at the moment, but as usual, they refuse to do anything that might anger the Dems. Instead, they go on another vacation while the nation is in turmoil. Th DOJ had better strike before the midterms, or all is lost. The Dems are going to retake both Houses in Congress beginning in 2027, then they're going to impeach Trump again. Bondi had better stop dragging her feet and start arresting congressional members from both party's - it isn't as if there isn't enough evidence of fraud, theft and abuse by both sides. Round up the leadership, the big beautiful bill be damned.

Perhaps the goal in passing this flawed legislation is to intimidate local officials, law enforcement and school employees with financially devastating lawsuits if they dare cooperate with federal officials. Last I heard federal laws trump state laws, but when has that ever stopped Dems from favoring illegal aliens over citizens? A reasonable person might wonder how a political party known for putting illegals first could attract votes from law abiding citizens. Will NGOs be allowed to fund illegal aliens who wish to sue cops or cities?

#3, I know it sounds good, but there’s an enormous downside. Suppose every one of the 20,000,000+ illegals move to Connecticut. They can’t vote under federal law, but under current law they do count for apportionment purposes. All of a sudden, Connecticut would be the third largest state, with more electoral votes and more representatives than Florida. But controlled by the same tiny number of radical Democrats who would vote for such a stupid policy to begin with. Mind you, those illegals still have the same effect on apportionment now, although it’s scattered across the country. Still, it gives additional electoral votes and representatives to California, New York, Illinois, Massachusetts,…

They stated that they wanted to focus on crimes committed in Connecticut. That's great! now every criminal from everywhere can travel to Connecticut and feel safe; not having to worry about their past crimes. Maybe the escaped killers from Louisiana should go to Connecticut so avoid police detection. I thought justice was supposed to be blind. In this case, justice is blind, deaf, and dumb for ILLEGALS. THey are apparently entitled to special treatment in CT that citizens do not get. Arrest warrant for murder? Who cares, it is from another state or country. Child molester? Enjoy Connecticut's many playgrounds and parks at your leisure. CT is a don't ask, don't tell state, unless you are a US citizen or in law enforcement, then you better follow the law to the letter!

PolitiFact threw another "False" flag on their mountain of 1,095 Donald Trump "fact checks" on Wednesday. The dispute was whether Harvard gave the Department of Homeland Security the information they requested on their foreign students. They cited a recent press gaggle with the president: "Part of the problem with Harvard is that there are about 31% of foreigners coming to Harvard ... but they refuse to tell us who the people are," Trump told reporters May 25. "We want a list of those foreign students and we'll find out whether or not they're OK. Many will be OK, I assume. And I assume with Harvard many will be bad."

Clients hate that! “Why the hell am I paying you money if I’m just gonna tell the truth?! I could’ve done that on my own!” They’re disappointed if there’s no smoke, mirrors, or magic act. No proof of Russian collusion with the 2016 Trump campaign was ever produced, and the Robert Mueller investigation ended with a thud and no charges, yet the Board stood by their decision. When an industry requires endless subsidization, that means it’s signaling a lack of potential—both short-term and long-term—so it’s *probably* a bad investment. According to Matt Oliver at The Telegraph, new numbers from the electric vehicle industry show that these cars are depreciating rapidly, much faster than their gasoline counterparts; after just two years of ownership, these cars are worth less than half of what their owners originally paid. (I mean, we tried telling them these were foolish purchases, but they didn’t want to listen.) Here’s this, per Oliver: A typical EV now retains only 49pc of its value after 24 months, a sharp decline from 83pc as recently as 2022,

Justices Ketanji Brown Jackson and Sonia Sotomayor dissented from the court’s decision.
