Illegal aliens are being recruited to join sophisticated criminal networks in the United States that stage accidents and injuries to get payouts through the nation’s personal injury system, House Republicans told Attorney General Pam Bondi.[snip] “These fraudulent schemes pose serious risks to public safety, increase consumer costs, and raise insurance premiums for the motoring public,” the Republicans wrote. “According to the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud, insurance fraud costs the U.S. $308 billion annually, with $45 billion attributable to property and casualty insurance fraud. More importantly, these activities put innocent motorists at risk of injury or even death.”

In April, there were 9 Republican mayors in America’s 50 biggest cities. In May, that number fell to 8. Democrats are celebrating Omaha’s mayoral election win as proof that Republicans are out of step with America, when it’s really evidence how the nation’s cities have fallen out of step with America. There was a time when America’s cities were symbols of progress, but they have long since become sinkholes of decline, clinging to a handful of industries that employ a tiny fraction of their population as evidence of their relevance.

Former President Joe Biden got some devastating medical news today. According to his spokesperson, Mr. Biden was experiencing some urinary issues and went to the doctor to check it out. It turns out the Delaware liberal has an aggressive form of prostate cancer that has metastasized to the bone. They’re hopeful that it can be managed with proper treatment. The Trump administration scored another court win on Tuesday, as a Pennsylvania District Court Judge found in favor of the administration (mostly — we'll get to that) on a case involving the removal of illegal alien Venezuelan gang members pursuant to the Alien Enemies Act (AEA).[Snip] Judge Stephanie Haines of the Western District of Pennsylvania (also a Trump appointee) found that Trump does have authority under AEA to issue the proclamation directing the removal of those who meet the criteria.[Snip] The catch there is that Haines also found that the administration hasn't been giving adequate notice to those subject to removal

Three teenagers allegedly kidnapped a wealthy man at gunpoint and drove him to a remote Arizona desert to steal $4 million in cryptocurrency in a sinister plot. During a blistering Senate Appropriations Committee hearing, Sen. Disgraced former FBI Director, James Comey, mysteriously found seashells on his beach walk listing the numbers, “8647,” which to any half-aware person means, “Assassinate President Trump.” Comey posted on Instagram, “Cool shell formation on my beach walk…” and then after push back, he removed it and posted an imbecilic excuse stating, “I didn’t realize some folks associate those numbers with violence. It never occurred to me, but I oppose violence of any kind, so I took the post down.”

Many pro-Israel people I know, both Jewish and non-Jewish, are deeply worried about Trump’s current Middle East positions. He’s marginalizing Israel in negotiations with Saudi Arabia, accepting on the government’s behalf a luxury plane from double-dealing Qatar, and handing money to the goons in Syria. At the same time, he’s seemingly freezing out Israel, to the great consternation of Israel and its supporters.
So, what gives? Having read Charles Lipson’s superb analysis of the problems in dealing with an almost nuclear Iran, and how Biden created this monster, I suspect that “what gives” may be Trump trying an out-of-the-box approach to isolating Iran long enough for his economic policies
