NYC prosecutor used clout with DA, NYPD

A Manhattan prosecutor recruited her pals in the DA’s office to rig a criminal case against her estranged New York Times scribe hubby as part of a nasty custody battle — and got the NYPD in on it, a scathing federal lawsuit claims. Assistant District Attorney Amanda Goun conspired to have her husband, health-care reporter Joseph Goldstein, busted on trumped-up assault and child-abuse charges in 2022 to win custody of their two young children — and even coached the kids to lie about their dad’s reputed abuse, alleges the Manhattan federal complaint reviewed by The Post.

This is just a custody case where these prosecutors and NYPD decided they should bend the law to fit their desired outcome. Anyone still think a determined AG in the NY office couldn't do much worse, particularly if they had a desired outcome for say President Trump? Think the jury was willing to deal with a zealous prosecutors office and willing NYPD accomplices if they didn't render the desired outcome? I would think nearly every case over the past number of years could be called into question by nearly every defense attorney.

#16, Not just a lawyer, a NYC Prosecutor. #6, Not just libeling her husband, but probably breaking city, state and federal laws, and inciting other government officials to do the same, and perverting what little sense of justice was left in New York City. Obviously, this woman should not be raising children, be a prosecutor or even a lawyer.

A former Los Angeles deputy mayor — tasked with overseeing public safety — has agreed to plead guilty to faking an anti-Israel bomb threat on city hall last year. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California announced the forthcoming plea this week after Brian K. Williams, 61, was charged with a single felony count of making an explosives threat, which could carry a ten-year prison term. Prosecutors say Williams sent a text message to Mayor Karen Bass and other high-ranking city officials on October 3, 2024, that he just received a call from someone who threatened to bomb City Hall, writing “it might be in the rotunda.”

Last week, Donald Trump and Secretary of State (and acting National Security Advisor) Marco Rubio made some drastic cuts to the National Security Council (“NSC”). Naturally, the leftists are outraged—how dare he fire the people Democrats and the Deep State put in place?—but this is exactly what presidents have long done, and that they have a complete right to do. The NSC was created via the National Security Act of 1947. The Act’s purpose was to enhance America’s defenses by eliminating the silos that had hindered the efficient exchange of information between different branches of the military and the government during World War II.

Far from helping to end the war in Ukraine, all the indications suggest that US President Donald Trump's mediation efforts are not only prolonging the conflict, but increasing the likelihood that Russia will ultimately emerge victorious. Indeed, far from showing any interest in ending Russia's military offensive in Ukraine, the Russian leader has given every intention that he intends to continue fighting until victory has been achieved. Nor does there appear to be any serious prospect that Trump will be willing to hit the Kremlin with further sanctions, let alone military encouragement, if it fails to show any serious interest in peace negotiations.

Russia and Ukraine swapped hundreds more prisoners on Sunday, the Russian defense ministry said, the third part of a major swap that was a moment of cooperation in otherwise failed efforts to reach a ceasefire. The ministry said each side brought home 303 more soldiers, after each released a total of 307 combatants and civilians on Saturday, and 390 on Friday. The swap was the largest in more than three years of war. The announcement came hours after a massive Russian drone-and-missile attack targeted the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, and other regions in the country for a second consecutive night, killing at least 12 people and injuring dozens, officials said early Sunday.

Examination of the details of these events reveals beyond possibility of doubt that the mainstream press here and abroad is guided by anti-truth, antisemitic, anti-white, and anti-western civilization animus. The press deserves a harsh reckoning: ignore them, drive down circulation and views, expose their lies and agenda.

President Donald Trump this week took important steps to advance his “Golden Dome” missile-defense system — and not a moment too soon. For years, administrations of both parties have failed to devote sufficient resources to missile defense, even as China and Russia have sprinted to develop new ways to threaten the American homeland. Our margin of safety has badly eroded in the face of these adversaries’ “ballistic, hypersonic, and cruise missiles capable of striking the homeland with either conventional or nuclear warheads,” as Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Tuesday. A new Defense Intelligence Agency assessment this month pointed in particular to Beijing’s and Moscow’s aggressive efforts to field new hypersonic glide vehicles,

In a speech in Abu Dhabi this week, President Donald Trump praised the Middle East’s transformation as an achievement of its own people, not the result of foreign intervention. He celebrated a new generation of regional leaders who are moving beyond old conflicts and choosing prosperity over chaos. Trump emphasized that the progress in places like Riyadh and Abu Dhabi wasn’t built by Western elites, neocons, or left-wing nonprofits, but by locals charting their own path. He condemned past U.S. efforts at nation-building, arguing that they often caused more harm than good by meddling in cultures they didn’t understand.
