A Manhattan prosecutor recruited her pals in the DA’s office to rig a criminal case against her estranged New York Times scribe hubby as part of a nasty custody battle — and got the NYPD in on it, a scathing federal lawsuit claims.
Assistant District Attorney Amanda Goun conspired to have her husband, health-care reporter Joseph Goldstein, busted on trumped-up assault and child-abuse charges in 2022 to win custody of their two young children — and even coached the kids to lie about their dad’s reputed abuse, alleges the Manhattan federal complaint reviewed by The Post.

The rot is pretty deep in the NYC DA's office it seems...

Surely you didn't expect any integrity emanating from the Manhattan DA's office, you can't be that stupid! New York Democrats are in a class all their own where evil is concerned! Witness Chuck Schumer, Jerry Nadler, Dan Goldman!

NYC is a lawless town full of corrupt FBI agents, D.A.'s, political officials, and Judges. No one is safe in NYC.

Women have been doing this for years. They do not have to be attorney's to libel their husbands in custody cases.

Business as usual in the NY Criminal "Justice" system. A no-go zone for anyone with common sense.

Sounds to me like she is following the well-worn path that they followed in PERsecuting Donald Trump.

#6 is correct. I don't mean to denigrate all of the "fair" sex but this sort of thing leans heavily their way. "Hell hath no fury" etc.

"Goldstein at one point was accused of grabbing his son’s arm, which he denied." So it's now a crime to grab your child's arm? Soon we'll learn that giving a kid an angry look is a felony. God help us.

This is just a custody case where these prosecutors and NYPD decided they should bend the law to fit their desired outcome.
Anyone still think a determined AG in the NY office couldn't do much worse, particularly if they had a desired outcome for say President Trump?
Think the jury was willing to deal with a zealous prosecutors office and willing NYPD accomplices if they didn't render the desired outcome?
I would think nearly every case over the past number of years could be called into question by nearly every defense attorney.

#6 and #9. There are women who do this for sure. There are also a lot of deadbeat Dads out there who walk away from their kids and move on. All around bad parents of both sexes. I’m not suggesting that is the case here. He just had the misfortune to be married to a NY lawyer.

Divorce is terrible for everyone in the family....if this woman lied about the information she gave to the authorities...then throw the book at her....but...if there was real abuse...then throw the book at him....there is no easy answer...and then there's children to think about....something is not right here....who started the divorce procedings...a wounded partner can be vicious....so without more information...I'll pass.....

A lawyer vs. a NYT reporter. It’s kind of like Russia vs. Ukraine. There isn’t a good guy to root for.

#16, Not just a lawyer, a NYC Prosecutor.
#6, Not just libeling her husband, but probably breaking city, state and federal laws, and inciting other government officials to do the same, and perverting what little sense of justice was left in New York City.
Obviously, this woman should not be raising children, be a prosecutor or even a lawyer.
