Judge in Derek Chauvin case breaks silence,

The judge in Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin’s claimed that “defund the police” “idiots” made it difficult to carry out the trial — but insists he gave the man convicted of killing George Floyd a fair shake. In his first interview since the high-profile trial, retired Judge Peter Cahill, 66, gave insight into his attempts to manage the media circus and specifically called out the Minneapolis city council for making the situation worse through toxic politics, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported. “It did not help that people were saying ‘defund the police’ — all these idiots on the Minneapolis City Council,” Cahill told the outlet.

The circus of idiots was not confined to Minneapolis, the entire country went ape**** over the BLM nonsense and the destruction that it caused. Normally sane people were treating blacks like sacred cows because they did not want any more cities to burn and they still are. DEI was the next level of bribery. It was simple blackmail (pun intended). Without the circus, Chauvin would have been found innocent and George Floyd would not be seen as anything more than the drugged-up violent thug that he always was.

The medical examiner was intimidated into adding "neck compression," to his report that originally showed that Floyd died of heart disease. From that point on, Chauvin's trial became a kangaroo court.

"Complicating"?? The trial was a FRAUD. It was dishonest. Multiple key witnesses LIED. Chauvin did nothing at all to harm Floyd. Floyd killed Floyd.

And last night a black wnba player gave a tribute speech to george floyd. Nary a mention about soldiers that died for our freedom but a several minute speech about a drug addict. Who would pay to watch that carp?

If you think that the twelve jurors gave an impartial, objective, and honest verdict when they were threatened by all the BLM violence occurring, you might be an idiot. No, make that, you ARE an idiot. But don't listen to me. I am just a 'far right (winger whose) daily bread is revisionism.' Rot. Please.

FTA: “Cahill further called out the Minneapolis City Council for announcing a record pre-trial $27 million settlement to Floyd’s family as the jury was preparing for their duties back in 2021.” This changed the whole direction of the case. Before the trial began, the whole trial was set up. The judge had a bad hand. The writing was on the wall, and Cahill knew it.

A former Los Angeles deputy mayor — tasked with overseeing public safety — has agreed to plead guilty to faking an anti-Israel bomb threat on city hall last year. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California announced the forthcoming plea this week after Brian K. Williams, 61, was charged with a single felony count of making an explosives threat, which could carry a ten-year prison term. Prosecutors say Williams sent a text message to Mayor Karen Bass and other high-ranking city officials on October 3, 2024, that he just received a call from someone who threatened to bomb City Hall, writing “it might be in the rotunda.”

Last week, Donald Trump and Secretary of State (and acting National Security Advisor) Marco Rubio made some drastic cuts to the National Security Council (“NSC”). Naturally, the leftists are outraged—how dare he fire the people Democrats and the Deep State put in place?—but this is exactly what presidents have long done, and that they have a complete right to do. The NSC was created via the National Security Act of 1947. The Act’s purpose was to enhance America’s defenses by eliminating the silos that had hindered the efficient exchange of information between different branches of the military and the government during World War II.

Far from helping to end the war in Ukraine, all the indications suggest that US President Donald Trump's mediation efforts are not only prolonging the conflict, but increasing the likelihood that Russia will ultimately emerge victorious. Indeed, far from showing any interest in ending Russia's military offensive in Ukraine, the Russian leader has given every intention that he intends to continue fighting until victory has been achieved. Nor does there appear to be any serious prospect that Trump will be willing to hit the Kremlin with further sanctions, let alone military encouragement, if it fails to show any serious interest in peace negotiations.

Russia and Ukraine swapped hundreds more prisoners on Sunday, the Russian defense ministry said, the third part of a major swap that was a moment of cooperation in otherwise failed efforts to reach a ceasefire. The ministry said each side brought home 303 more soldiers, after each released a total of 307 combatants and civilians on Saturday, and 390 on Friday. The swap was the largest in more than three years of war. The announcement came hours after a massive Russian drone-and-missile attack targeted the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, and other regions in the country for a second consecutive night, killing at least 12 people and injuring dozens, officials said early Sunday.

As I see it, there were three big stories this week: the media’s pretense that it was ignorant of Biden’s infirmities when it mattered; the cold-blooded assassination in D.C. of two young employees of the Israeli embassy, and the president’s refusal to join in the whitewashing of the genocide in South Africa. Examination of the details of these events reveals beyond possibility of doubt that the mainstream press here and abroad is guided by anti-truth, antisemitic, anti-white, and anti-western civilization animus. The press deserves a harsh reckoning: ignore them, drive down circulation and views, expose their lies and agenda.

President Donald Trump this week took important steps to advance his “Golden Dome” missile-defense system — and not a moment too soon. For years, administrations of both parties have failed to devote sufficient resources to missile defense, even as China and Russia have sprinted to develop new ways to threaten the American homeland. Our margin of safety has badly eroded in the face of these adversaries’ “ballistic, hypersonic, and cruise missiles capable of striking the homeland with either conventional or nuclear warheads,” as Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Tuesday. A new Defense Intelligence Agency assessment this month pointed in particular to Beijing’s and Moscow’s aggressive efforts to field new hypersonic glide vehicles,

In a speech in Abu Dhabi this week, President Donald Trump praised the Middle East’s transformation as an achievement of its own people, not the result of foreign intervention. He celebrated a new generation of regional leaders who are moving beyond old conflicts and choosing prosperity over chaos. Trump emphasized that the progress in places like Riyadh and Abu Dhabi wasn’t built by Western elites, neocons, or left-wing nonprofits, but by locals charting their own path. He condemned past U.S. efforts at nation-building, arguing that they often caused more harm than good by meddling in cultures they didn’t understand.

That particular stretch is known for prostitutes openly soliciting on sidewalks, say local leaders.

Under the bill, voters who live in states with in-person, same-day voter registration would still have the option to vote at a polling station. This week, the Supreme Court continued to deliberate over what to do with the growing number of national or universal injunctions issued by federal district courts against the Trump Administration. The court has long failed to address the problem, and what I call “chronic injunctivitis” is now raging across the court system. Justices have only worsened the condition with conflicting and at times incomprehensible opinions. Both Democratic and Republican presidents have long argued that federal judges are out of control in issuing national injunctions that freeze the entire executive branch for years on a given policy. For presidents, you have to effectively sweep the district courts 677-to-0
