The box office is hitting an all-time record this weekend, which once again proves that Hollywood’s sycophant, woke-apologists are all liars. Thanks to the one-two punch of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning and the Disney Grooming Syndicate’s live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch, along with holdovers Thunderbolts and Sinners, guess what happened? Cash registers all over America are ringing up theater tickets to the tune of $322 million, which bests the previous all-time best Memorial Day box office weekend of $314.3 million in 2013.

I didn't go this weekend since the theater was crowded and I hate crowds, but I am planning on seeing the new Mission Impossible movie. I also want to see the new Superman movie (if it isn't woke) and Nobody 2 (which I know will not be woke).

Apparently the copy/paste operation is tricky, #2. I'm guessing that many people went to the theatre this weekend because most of the country was too cold and wet to go to the pool or play outside.

What? People not going to crap movies packed with leftist propaganda? Shocking. And they go to exciting, well written adventures that haven't got a political axe to grind? Yep, like the good old days.

Sorry, no money will ever again be spent on hollywood trash at this house. Weekends in South Louisiana in the summer is awash with festivals and car shows, and sporting events. Add in Bar-B-Q's and who needs to sit inside and enrich a bunch of hollywood trash?

A new, highly infectious COVID-19 strain that has left to a spike in hospitalizations in China has now been detected in the US, including cases in New York City, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The new NB.1.81 variant was first detected in the US in late March and early April among international travelers arriving at airports in California, Washington State, Virginia and New York City, with additional cases reported in Ohio, Rhode Island and Hawaii. The CDC has said there are too few cases in the US to be properly tracked in the agency’s variant estimates,

The liberal dream of circumventing the Electoral College might be crumbling faster than anyone expected. Maine, one of the 17 states that joined the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, is now poised to become the first state to exit the agreement—and it's sending shockwaves through the left-wing coalition that thought they'd found a clever workaround to the Constitution. Just last year, Maine opted to join the compact, which would award all participating states' electoral votes to whoever wins the national popular vote. But now the state is having serious second thoughts.

In a previous column, I detailed Michael Mann’s unraveling legal crusade, focusing on his courtroom defeat and the staggering financial penalty levied against him. Readers' responses were passionate, particularly about the absence of commentary on Mark Steyn. Let me be direct: the omission was intentional. The Mann saga deserved focus, and Steyn’s fight deserves its own chapter. This is that chapter. Author, broadcaster, and unflinching cultural critic Mark Steyn did not merely weather a defamation trial. He survived it physically, financially, and morally when most would have buckled under the strain. What began as a battle over words became a battle over the soul of free speech.

A former National Guard member from Melvindale, Michigan, near Dearborn, was busted for attempting a mass shooting at a base in nearby Warren, Mich. Ammar Abdulmajid-Mohamed Said, 19, was arrested and charged with providing training and materiel to undercover federal agents. Investigators claim the planned attack is related to ISIS. The plan was to launch a mass shooting at the U.S. Army’s Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command (TACOM) facility just north of Detroit. This is not a military base but more of an Army facility. Said not only provided ammunition, magazines, firebombs, and weapons training to undercover agents,

Russian President Vladimir Putin will not attend peace talks in Turkey Thursday even though Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had earlier said he was willing to sit down face-to-face with the pugilistic strongman to try to negotiate an end to the brutal Russia-Ukraine war that has raged on since the Russian Federation invaded its neighbor in February 2022. Although U.S President Donald Trump had hinted that he might show up if things looked promising, he has now nixed those plans, considering Putin will be a no-show:

As Pete Buttigieg attempts to stand up a 2028 presidential campaign by growing a patchy beard, he might want to consider that his record could be a major liability. On Wednesday, it was revealed that a key hotline between the Pentagon and the air traffic control at Washington National Airport has been inoperative since 2022. But what would have been a mundane failure turned deadly in January when a military helicopter collided with a regional airliner, killing 67 people. That phone line would have typically been used by the Department of Defense to report when its aircraft were in the vicinity and what their intentions were.

It’s always amusing when someone who has not been an active conservative and free marketer for over 40 years and did not run his own small business for nearly 30 years, as I have, gets accused of being a socialist because he refuses to pretend that the world is not as it is. I like free enterprise. It’s in my blood – everyone in my nuclear family had his/her own business. And while I am not sure that Donald Trump‘s latest heresies to the Cult of Milton Friedman (and I’m definitely a Friedman believer) will ultimately prove efficacious, I know the current system certainly isn’t doing the job for us.

The Biden administration claimed to have added almost 400,000 jobs from July through September of last year, but new data released this week suggest none of those jobs ever existed. Despite constantly gaslighting by the mainstream media, Americans knew the economy was in poor shape and these latest numbers prove it. Month after month, the government bean-counters under former-president Biden published overly optimistic estimates for everything from job growth to the size of the economy, only to have those numbers routinely—and quietly—revised down later. Every month, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) produces estimates for the number of nonfarm payrolls in the country,

It’s a fool’s game to try to predict President Trump’s audacious new moves. Tommy Vietor was the latest to learn this. He posted that it was “really scary” that hostilities between India and Pakistan were escalating and that Trump was “completely asleep at the wheel.” Twelve hours later Trump announced he’d mediated a peace deal between the two countries. In Lebanon he has acted to substantially cut off Hezb’allah’s supply and revenue sources, making it more likely that country’s civilian government will be able to reassert control and enhance the peace of the area. After his disastrous decision to run for reelection helped secure Donald Trump’s victory, former President Joe Biden is fighting for his reputation — and struggling to rake in cash. The subject of recent books detailing his decline, Biden is apparently having trouble bringing in speaking fees and difficulty fundraising for his presidential library, The Wall Street Journal reports. Perhaps this should come as no surprise. After Biden’s catastrophic 2024 debate performance against Trump revealed the extent of his declining health and marked the end of his campaign, why would anyone pay the former president to speak? And who would want to fund a Biden presidential library, as a monument

PORTLAND, Ore. – Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) reintroduced a bill on Friday that could change the way Americans vote across the United States. Initially introduced by Wyden in 2017, the Vote at Home Act would give eligible voters the option to vote by mail (including via drop-off site), provide pre-paid envelopes to return ballots and would automatically register citizens to vote at DMVs. Under the bill, voters who live in states with in-person, same-day voter registration would still have the option to vote at a polling station. The Vote at Home Act would also send ballots in the mail weeks ahead

In a brief return to Britain, I was concerned to see that London has undergone a dramatic demographic change. The city of my birth is visibly more Muslim than it was even four years ago. On the Tube, I saw more hijabs than baseball caps. The Muslim niqab -- with its full face covering -- is no longer rare. For decades, Brits have not been allowed to question the wisdom of importing large numbers of people into a western society who do not share western values. (Brits who do so on social media risk going to prison).

Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government could lose nearly 60% of its student body if the Trump administration’s attempted ban on international enrollment, temporarily blocked by a judge, takes effect. As at many Harvard schools, campus life at the Kennedy School has been hijacked by anti-Israel activists. Last week, a federal judge blocked President Donald Trump from denying Harvard the ability to enroll students on foreign visas. But the administration made clear it intends to stop Harvard from being able to enroll foreigners if it continues to defy the president’s demands that it fight antisemitism and reform its “woke” curriculum and administrative practices.
