Trump’s Necessary Foreign and Domestic Revolution

It’s a fool’s game to try to predict President Trump’s audacious new moves. Tommy Vietor was the latest to learn this. He posted that it was “really scary” that hostilities between India and Pakistan were escalating and that Trump was “completely asleep at the wheel.” Twelve hours later Trump announced he’d mediated a peace deal between the two countries. In Lebanon he has acted to substantially cut off Hezb’allah’s supply and revenue sources, making it more likely that country’s civilian government will be able to reassert control and enhance the peace of the area. The Democrats, their media, and pundits have nothing left but grasping at straws. You would think that they would have learned by now. But no, they just continue to spiral down in flames.

FTA , the very last paragraph - "There’s no doubt in my mind we are undergoing a rapid widespread change in national culture and in the way we’ve been governed for decades. This is unsettling to many and especially to the media and the “experts” it has so long relied on to feed them copy. Nevertheless, this is the kind of revolution which is timely and necessary, and which only this president and his capable cabinet are willing and able to achieve." Well put, Clarice. I believe it is true.

Excellent article. I wonder how much longer we will have to wait for the Roberts SCOTUS to step up and rein in the out-of-control federal district courts where any leftist plea for an injunction is instantly granted, griding progress to a halt. Clarence Thomas has been pushing for a change in this practice for several years now. Roberts seems unwilling to do more than admonish these federal district court judges to "stay in your lane." The judges seem not to be listening.

Since we have "experts" that can be found to predict anything and everything, the media can always find an "expert" that told us so. I do not listen to "experts", because I don't find a prediction of every possible outcome useful.

Labor Department Admits Hundreds of Thousands

The Biden administration claimed to have added almost 400,000 jobs from July through September of last year, but new data released this week suggest none of those jobs ever existed. Despite constantly gaslighting by the mainstream media, Americans knew the economy was in poor shape and these latest numbers prove it. Month after month, the government bean-counters under former-president Biden published overly optimistic estimates for everything from job growth to the size of the economy, only to have those numbers routinely—and quietly—revised down later. Every month, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) produces estimates for the number of nonfarm payrolls in the country,

Earlier on Friday, a group of New Jersey Democrat representatives and the mayor of Newark, NJ, were taking part in a protest outside an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facility in Newark when, as my colleague Ward Clark wrote, things went completely sideways: Clark added that the mayor of Newark, Ras Baraka, "was even more egregious; he tried to make his way inside and ignored the warning from ICE officials to leave." Baraka was promptly arrested by authorities. You'd think Democrats would take a hint to lay off beclowning themselves on the behalf of criminals and gang members,

Mayor Eric Adams planned to collect campaign donations in Turkey for his 2025 re-election bid, according to newly unsealed documents from his high-profile corruption case. The extensive filing, obtained by The Post Friday night, showed that Hizzoner attended a lavish January 2022 dinner with two staffers, where he expressed interest in visiting Turkey to solicit additional funds from local businessmen for his mayoral race. Adams “welcomed the offer of foreign contributions” — and told his staff in a private area to coordinate and “arrange the contributions,” the filing states.

Columbia University has suspended dozens of students and barred alums and others who participated in a pro-Palestinian demonstration inside the school’s main library earlier this week, a school spokesperson said Friday. The Ivy League institution in Manhattan placed more than 65 students on interim suspension and barred 33 others, including those from affiliated institutions such as Barnard College, from setting foot on campus. Interim suspension generally means that a student cannot come to campus, attend classes or participate in other university activities, according to Columbia’s website. The university declined to say how long the disciplinary measures would be in place, saying only that the decisions are pending further investigation.

May 8, 2025, marks the 80th anniversary of the Allies’ triumph over Nazi Germany and the end of World War II in Europe. Through Lend Lease and the destroyers-for-bases scheme, we had become involved in the European war much earlier than Hitler’s declaration of war on the United States on December 11, 1941. American boots on the ground proved decisive in the Western Theater, from North Africa to Italy to Normandy to Germany itself. And American industry and money proved to be an overwhelming advantage, pumping out a nearly inexhaustible supply of matériel for the Allied cause.

Portugal’s caretaker government plans to expel some 18,000 foreigners living in the country without authorization, a minister said Saturday in the buildup to a national election. Minister of the Presidency António Leitão Amaro said the center-right government will issue approximately 18,000 notifications to people in the country illegally to leave. The minister said officials will begin next week by asking some 4,500 foreigners to leave voluntarily within 20 days. Portugal will hold an early general election on May 18. Prime Minister Luis Montenegro called the snap ballot in March after his minority government led by his conservative Social Democratic Party lost a confidence vote in Parliament and stood down.

The Trump administration scored a HUGE win on Saturday in the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals. Not only did the court grant the administration's request for a stay pending appeal in several consolidated/related cases, but it set forth the framework that district courts should be adhering to in analyzing many of the cases currently pending before them regarding the administration's actions. Since President Donald Trump resumed office in January and began issuing a series of executive orders and actions aimed at dismantling and/or sizably reducing the size of the bureaucratic state, lawsuit after lawsuit has been filed against the administration in an effort to thwart his agenda.

It's a part of my family's survival story: surviving the Holocaust, escaping Soviet oppression, and rebuilding a life in America with nothing but determination and faith. My grandparents lived through brutality that many today only read about. Their stories taught me early on that freedom is fragile — and that you have to fight to protect it. Now, as I prepare for college, I see antisemitism rising again in places that are supposed to be centers of learning and acceptance. According to the Anti-Defamation League, 2023 saw over 8,800 antisemitic incidents in the U.S.—
