Haman, the Purim story’s central villain, the Persian Empire’s grand vizier, descended from the Amalekite peoples, has traditionally served as a stand-in for contemporary villains like Hitler, Stalin...as well as Hamas and other Islamic Jihadists. Democrat governors have a “resistance” playbook created for them that includes draft executive orders to defy the administration’s immigration policies as well as instructions on deploying the National Guard. The Governors Action Alliance, a Democrat organization that founded the group Governors Safeguarding Democracy, provided such guidance to the staffs of Democrat governors across the country after the election of President Donald Trump. The 126 pages of the playbook—including emails, talking points, and a “Firewalling for Freedom – Template Gubernatorial Executive Order”—were obtained in a public records request from the office of Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro by the private nonprofit watchdog group Government Accountability and Oversight
Schumer’s attempted shutdown will backfire bigly replies

Republicans, accustomed to being blamed by the media for federal government shutdowns, should not worry about Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s plan to oppose cloture on the “clean” funding bill Speaker Johnson’s House just passed. There are multiple good reasons why they can relax on this one: Trump knows how to fight (snip) He knows how to use branding and understands the power of alliteration to embed expressions in the human mind (e.g., “big, beautiful bill”). The “Schumer Showdown” will be the name. (snip) Trump will not engage in the stupid game of putting up barriers to prevent the public from entering national parks.

SAUGATUCK, Mich. — Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is set to announce that he will not seek an open U.S. Senate seat in Michigan, a move that leaves the door wide open for him to seek a much bigger role as his party’s next presidential nominee. Since his role in the Biden administration ended in late January, Buttigieg has spent months considering his next move, including a serious look at the unexpectedly open U.S. Senate seat in Michigan, where he relocated in recent years. But many prominent allies he consulted believed he could not realistically pursue the Senate seat while

Happy Thursday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. (Snip) People who are familiar with my rather free approach to expressing myself verbally both onstage and off are usually surprised to find that I don't like to use the word "hate." It's an aversion I developed when I became a father and it just stuck. As my habits go, it is one of the better ones. It's also one that gets put to the test a lot when writing about the Democrats and their flying monkeys in the mainstream media five days a week. They're a dreadful lot, inspiring intensely negative feelings in those of us who deal with them.

James Finlayson failed to make it as a leading man in Hollywood but became one of the most memorable comic foils ever to grace the silver screen. The Scottish actor performed in more than 100 films but was best known for being the "third man" to Laurel and Hardy. With his distinctive fake moustache, he starred with the iconic duo in 33 of their films and later became the inspiration for Homer Simpson's "D'oh!" catchphrase. Now Finlayson has been memorialised with a new portrait in the Scottish theatre where he first trod the boards more than a century ago.

Four of the five main parties on the ballot, including the ones that won first and second place, Demokraatit Party and Naleraq, favor independence from Denmark, but disagree on the pace. Greenland, whose population is approximately 57,000 people, currently operates as a semi-autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark. However, Trump’s renewed interest in the island sparked conversations about breaking away from the Danish crown. So what happens now? How long before we add them as a 51st state? Or maybe turn them into a frozen Puerto Rico? How long before the NFL plays the Super Bowl there? Or what about the NHL and that annual hockey game outdoors?
EU Accuses Trump of 'Blackmailing' Zelensky! replies

Yesterday’s pacifists are today’s Rambos, it seems: 442 lawmakers in the 720-seat European Parliament just agreed to a joint declaration that “strongly deplores any attempts at blackmailing Ukraine’s leadership into surrender to the Russian aggressor for the sole purpose of announcing a so-called ‘peace deal.’” Which means, less than 14% of our “friends” in the EU had the testicular fortitude to oppose this brazenly anti-American statement. Thanks, guys. But perhaps we’re being unfair. Perhaps the EU genuinely, sincerely opposes browbeating a democratic nation — especially one that was just invaded and attacked! — into accepting a permanent, immediate, and unconditional ceasefire.

Europe, particularly the Brussels Brahmin crowd and the over-educated British elites now at the head of their disastrous Labour government, really can't stand Donald Trump. He's worse than the stereotypical 'cowboy' - the buckaroo they have always had such fun mocking. The part they've never bothered with is taking time to study their chimerical adversary. The one who's actually on their side - just wants them to pull their own weight, although he's not averse to watching them chase their tails. After the Oval Office implosion of Volodymyr Zelensky's continued shakedown hopes
