Chuck Schumer votes to keep government
open: 'For Donald Trump, a shutdown would

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., says he will vote to keep the government open, warning that a shutdown has worse consequences for Americans and would only empower President Trump and Elon Musk further. "I believe it is my job to make the best choice for the country to minimize the harms to the American people. Therefore, I will vote to keep the government open and not shut it down," Schumer said while speaking on the Senate floor on Thursday.

Comments:

Schumer realized not voting for the bill would be political suicide. Did Gillibrand shame him into voting for it?

Essentially, Trump poison pilled the dems. Trump essentially said, "Give me a shutdown and I'll hang it around YOUR necks. AND I'll make sure the shutdown hits YOUR programs harder than it does MINE." Given Trump's great success in doing exactly as he promises and making the dems look incompetent and useless, maybe Chucky is realizing that Trump is playing 4D chess and the dems are playing Tiddlywinks and don't even understand the game Trump is playing. For the dems, winning isn't even on the table. It's more a question of how badly they will lose. Extinction level losses or crippled but surviving? Of course crippling losses can add up over time and take you out of play but extinction level losses are Game Over. Hey, Jim Carville. If this is "Total Meltdown" for Trump, can we have some more please. Are there ANY functional dems left?

I think the big thing is that when there's a shutdown....'Non-Essential' workers are sent home. There was the risk that they would have been told to stay there. After all... NOT essential.

President Biden and former President Donald Trump on Wednesday made their plans to officially debate, but the offer from the Biden team came with several strings attached. Trump gave Biden an open invitation to debate anytime, anywhere, and Biden rose to the challenge, telling Trump to "make my day" in a heavily edited video on social media. Alongside Biden's announcement came a letter from his campaign to the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD), and that letter revealed a few critical limits that Biden's team was placing on any debate between him and Trump.

An area in Squad member Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s district is being described as looking more like a Third World country as opposed to a thriving American neighborhood, as desperate migrants block up sidewalks selling food and shilling clothing items while prostitutes openly solicit sex from passersby — reportedly including teens. The neighborhoods of Corona, Jackson Heights and Elmhurst — a once-vibrant community in northwestern Queens — has now essentially deteriorated into a large flea market with trash overflowing on street corners, leading to unsavory and unhygienic conditions, as video obtained by Fox News Digital shows.

A powerhouse music rights label is preparing to sever its ties to Roger Waters as a direct result of the legendary British rocker’s inflammatory comments about Israel and Ukraine, sources familiar with the matter told Variety on Tuesday. The Berlin-based BMG, a firm that acts as both a music publisher and record label, first inked a publishing deal with Waters in 2016. But that deal is being scrapped in the wake of Waters’ vocal criticism of Israel, which some—including ex-bandmate David Gilmour—have characterized as antisemitic.

One of climate alarmists’ favorite predictions is that the Arctic is losing its ice due to global warming, something elites have claimed for decades. New data shows, however, that Arctic ice is actually increasing! Climate has always changed and will continue to do so until the real apocalypse (not the fake one climate alarmists have been predicting as imminent for decades). With more than 50 years of failed climate change predictions behind them and a track record of consistent and total untrustworthiness, you’d think that the doom prophets would have given up.

Titled Consolidating Aerospace Programs Efficiently at Canaveral (CAPE Canaveral) Act, the legislation would relocate the NASA headquarters to Florida’s Space Coast in Brevard County.
