A mere day after Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) proclaimed that Republicans don't have the votes to clear the way for a continuing resolution (CR) to fund the government through September, the New York Democrat has caved and will vote for cloture to allow the recently passed CR a vote in the Senate.
"Republicans do not have the votes in the Senate to invoke cloture on the House CR," Schumer proclaimed Wednesday. "Funding the government should be a bipartisan effort, but Republicans chose a partisan path drafting their continuing resolution without any input from congressional Democrats."
Schumer’s grandstanding on Wednesday sure looked like a bluff — a desperate attempt to strong-arm the GOP

Someone obviously sat the moron down and explained to him how much damage a shutdown would do to his party, and himself in particular, especially considering that it was already being touted as "the Schumer Shutdown. "

I want to see Schumer and his thieving colleagues-all of them-pay for their crimes. This, I hope, is only the beginning.

The CR is a classic "Art of the Deal" by Trump. He knows the playing field and delivered to the dems a horrible option that would let Trump's OMB shut down all the dem's pet programs OR a bad option, to generally fund the government and have to swallow some things the dems hate.
Plus Trump knows the public does NOT back the dems AND their propaganda media has been neutered. So the dems were left facing public scorn for a shutdown or ridicule for being too weak to block Trump.
The dems are LOSERS either way. All they can do now is wait and pray that something really bad happens on Trump's watch that the dems can leverage to get a ladder out of the septic tank they are in.
Everything that Trump is doing is structured similarly, a really nasty outcome that would destroy you or an outcome where you give up some things to avoid being wiped out. Trump is leveraging America's enormous economic strength and our military might and cutting out the BS that we have put up with for a LONG time. Trump is demanding a better deal for America and in exchange, not ruining the people who have been taking advantage of us.
All in all, Chucky and the dems, and the rest of the world, are being outplayed by the Master of the Deal. The funny thing is, if people play the game the way Trump wants, most everyone will eventually be better off. Except for the elites and grifters who have been abusing the rest of us for a long time. They are not going to go quietly but, given time, Trump is going to tear things out of their grasping hands.

Chuck decided that the Democrats have more important hills to die on - like protecting Palestinian terrorists and men playing in women’s sports.

I'm sure senator chuckie schumer is very disappointed ...he always gets his way when it comes to the republicans...but this time...there's some information that came into play...like the trips to epstein's island for abused girls....he didn't want that made public ...and the rest is history....he has been put in a box and I can't imagine he can squeak loud anymore...don't take it personally chuckie...it's just business nowadays....what goes around...comes around....

So the Republicans drafted a CR without any input from the dems and that's bad, but when his bunch of outlaws craft a budget w/o any Republican input, it's O.K. It can never hurt schmucky bad enough for me to feel even a tiny bit of compassion for him!
