In yet another raucous display, a group of anti-Israel protesters marched into the Senate cafeteria on Tuesday to demonstrate against U.S. support of the Jewish state in its war against Hamas in Gaza. The incident is the latest in a series of protests and rallies staged by anti-Israel and pro-Hamas activists arguing against Israel’s effort to eliminate the terrorist group. The demonstrations resulted in the arrests of 50 people. The activists strode through the building, yelling chants such as “Senate can’t eat until Gaza eats” and “Children are starving in Gaza.” One woman can be seen on video footage wearing a shirt that reads: “Biden’s legacy = Genocide.”

Hamas tells negotiators it doesn’t have

Hamas has indicated it is currently unable to identify and track down 40 Israeli hostages needed for the first phase of a ceasefire deal, according to an Israeli official and a source familiar with the discussions, raising fears that more hostages may be dead than are publicly known. The framework that has been laid out by negotiators says that during a first six-week pause in the fighting, Hamas should release 40 of the remaining hostages, including all the women as well as sick and elderly men. In exchange, hundreds of Palestinian prisoners would be released from Israeli prisons.

I reported earlier on Joe Biden's confusion, having to read off notes, and looking like he was having a "Weekend at Bernie's" moment while meeting with the Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. That was followed by a press conference with the Japanese prime minister for a few questions. He was almost an hour late for that. When he finally showed up, Kishida appeared to respond to questions like a normal leader. Biden, meanwhile, had the teleprompter. But even with that, he had trouble. He also made a weird comment, encouraging Kishida: "Don't stay in North Carolina."

Hours after Arizona’s supreme court declared on Tuesday that a 160-year-old abortion ban is now enforceable, Republicans in the state took a surprising stance for a party that has historically championed abortion restrictions – they denounced the decision. “This decision cannot stand,” said Matt Gress, a Republican state representative. “I categorically reject rolling back the clock to a time when slavery was still legal and we could lock up women and doctors because of an abortion.” First passed when Arizona was still a territory, the ban only permits abortions to save a patient’s life and does not have exceptions for rape or incest. “Today’s Arizona supreme court decision reinstating

Former President Donald Trump said Arizona has gone too far after the state's top court upheld a near-total abortion ban dating back to1864. Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Mr Trump said he thought the ban would quickly be "straightened out". The law bars abortion from conception, except to save a mother's life. His remarks come two days after he released a statement saying abortion rights should be left to US states, sending a mixed signal. In the video statement posted on his social media platform Truth Social, Mr Trump also took credit for the US Supreme Court's 2022 ruling that overturned Roe v Wade, the landmark decision that protected

It's been a long time since the release of a political film excited me enough that I actually wanted to see it in a theater rather than wait for its appearance on HBO or Starz. The last time I was moved to attend a political film in the theater was 1977's "Network." As a populist fable, "Network" scored with its combination of the comic genius of Paddy Chayefsky and brilliant acting by some of the film industry's biggest stars. Now comes Alex Garland's "Civil War," in which both sides of the political divide will see what they want to see: MAGA or Antifa hell where the rules

Hamas rejected on Wednesday President Joe Biden’s plan for a temporary cease-fire in Gaza as the terrorist group plans on putting forward its own demands for ending the war. Negotiators from the U.S., Israel, Qatar, and Egypt were discussing a plan to halt the war in Gaza for six weeks to facilitate the exchange of 900 prisoners held in Israel for 40 of the hostages Hamas continues to hold in captivity, according to the Wall Street Journal. Hamas is demanding a permanent end to the war in Gaza and Israel’s full withdrawal from the area in exchange for the remaining hostages captured during the mass

An independent review of gender-related medical care for minors submitted Wednesday to the U.K.’s National Health Service found that previous studies on the topic are of “poor quality” and there is “very limited evidence on the longer-term outcomes” associated with medicalized transition. “This is an area of remarkably weak evidence, and yet results of studies are exaggerated or misrepresented by people on all sides of the debate to support their viewpoint,” Hilary Cass, who led the review, wrote in the introduction. “The reality is that we have no good evidence on the long-term outcomes of interventions to manage gender-related distress.”

I often make the distinction between liberals and Leftists. I understand why many people think I am too generous in doing so because liberals often fly cover for or implicitly coddle the antics of Leftists, but there is a genuine difference. Liberals tend to think the antics of Leftists are a stupid distraction but fear that criticizing them would give aid and comfort to the enemy. Conservatives do that, too. Look at Laura Loomer as exhibit one. We have our share of loons, the big difference being that they have less power over our Party and our movement than the Left does over Democrats.

The consumer price index accelerated at a faster than expected pace in March, pushing inflation higher and likely dashing hopes that Federal Reserve will be able to cut interest rates anytime soon. The CPI, a broad measure of goods and services costs across the economy, rose 0.4% for the month, putting the 12-month inflation rate at 3.5%, or 0.3 percentage point higher than in February, the Labor Department's Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Wednesday. Economists surveyed by Dow Jones had been looking for a 0.3% gain and a 3.4% year-over-year level.

Florida governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill on Tuesday that combats retail theft and porch piracy, while attacking “leftist jurisdictions” such as California and New York for failing to implement policies that address these crimes. “Many leftist jurisdictions are enacting policies that ignore retail theft or even encourage it. Those policies are dead on arrival in Florida. We catch criminals and prosecute them,” DeSantis posted on X. The legislation, set to take effect July 1, will impose stricter penalties for people who steal retail items, swipe packages off porches, and use social media to incite looting. Civil rights groups are calling for the collapsed Baltimore bridge to be renamed when it's rebuilt, citing accusations of racism against national anthem author Francis Scott Key. The Caucus of African American Leaders of Anne Arundel County in Maryland voted unanimously to call for the renaming and will lobby governor Wes Moore on the proposal, as reported by the Baltimore Banner. The caucus includes civil rights groups such as the NAACP and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women. Leaders argued that the The Star-Spangled Banner author -who the collapsed bridge was named after - was a slave owner who wrote lyrics that scholars have said 'demeaned black people.'
