Hamas tells negotiators it doesn’t have
40 Israeli hostages needed for first round
of ceasefire

Hamas has indicated it is currently unable to identify and track down 40 Israeli hostages needed for the first phase of a ceasefire deal, according to an Israeli official and a source familiar with the discussions, raising fears that more hostages may be dead than are publicly known. The framework that has been laid out by negotiators says that during a first six-week pause in the fighting, Hamas should release 40 of the remaining hostages, including all the women as well as sick and elderly men. In exchange, hundreds of Palestinian prisoners would be released from Israeli prisons.

The question to ask is what happened to them. The Israeli's know who is missing, what did Hamas do with them. In return for their freedom Israel will release hundreds of terrorists. Not Palestinians. Terrorists. Why is Israel still fighting to destroy Hamas if they are going to release hundreds of them for 40 Israeli prisoners?

No desire to make a deal. Must extend the suffering of the "poor", albeit complicit, Palestinians. At least Haniyeh paid a meaningful price.

Presume the hostages are dead until Hamas proves otherwise. Israel has largely overrun Gaza taking out most of the Hamas hideouts and strongholds yet Hamas still has 100 hostages. That does not make sense. Where are the hostages?

Some previous reports said that Hamas has "entrusted" some of these hostages to folks that are even more evil than Hamas. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them are in Iranian prisons, either in Iran or areas controlled by Iran outside of Gaza. Until Hamas can provide "proof of life" on each and every Israeli hostage, including foreign hostages and Israeli military captives, no deal.

Hostages in Gaza are like ballots in blue cities. They are kept hidden until they are needed. Israel is once again letting world opinion define their actions. Big mistake.

I suspect the hostages either died from starvation or they were MURDERED by the Hamas Terrorist Thugs. Either way Israel should exact total REVENGE. Kill them all and let Allah sort them out!

Should former President Donald Trump win the 2024 election, one of his plans is to seriously reduce the federal government's regulation of banks and financial markets. This could include the outright elimination of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, among other actions. In the wake of the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, Congress dramatically expanded the U.S. government's oversight of the financial industry to prevent a repeat of the 2008 global banking meltdown. Donald Trump would likely renew his efforts to scale back those reforms, if elected, as well as pare protections for small-scale investors and borrowers, and allow companies to raise money

Of course it is George Soros who is funding the Pro-Hamas protests that shut down major highways yesterday. The first quarter of 2024 has seen the number of measles cases recorded in the U.S. stand significantly higher than in recent years, a report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) details. Americans have reported a total of 338 cases since January 1, 2020—and 97 cases, or 29 percent of the total, came between the start of 2024 and March 28, per the report. And as of April 11, the number of cases in 2024 had risen to 121. “What was surprising about 2024 is that we’ve seen a significant increase,” John Brownstein, an epidemiologist at Boston Children’s Hospital, told ABC News’ Mary Kekatos.

Soon the government might shut down your car. President Joe Biden's new infrastructure gives bureaucrats that power. You probably didn't hear about that because when media covered it, few mentioned the requirement that by 2026, every American car must "monitor" the driver, determine if he is impaired and, if so, "limit vehicle operation." Rep. Thomas Massie objected, complaining that the law makes government "judge, jury and executioner on such a fundamental right!" Congress approved the law anyway. A USA Today "fact check" told readers, don't worry, "There's no kill switch in Biden's bill." (Snip) The clause is buried under Section 24220 of the law.

On an October morning, a small army arrived to evict Rudy Ortega from his home in the Crash Zone, an encampment located near the end of the airport runway in San Jose, California, Silicon Valley’s largest city. As jets roared overhead, garbage trucks and police squad cars encircled Ortega’s hand-built shelter. Heavy machinery operators stood by for the signal to bulldoze Ortega’s camp. As the workers closed in, Ortega grew increasingly upset. “They’re going to have to drag me out of here,” he said.
