The Russian government has vowed to retaliate against U.S. sanctions on a new Russia-Germany pipeline, work on which was suspended on Saturday. U.S. President Donald Trump signed legislation last week that provides for sanctions against individuals and companies involved with the vessels laying the Nord Stream 2 pipeline under the Baltic Sea from Russia to Germany. The move prompted a Swiss company that operates ships laying sections of the pipeline to suspend the work.

How old? President Trump signed!? This is either a bit out of date or badly researched.

2019 Trump signed legislation...Germany's Angela Merkin complained...Biden rescinded sanctions, the Nordstreams were completed, making Russia $Billions, which they used to invade parts of Ukraine, using arms and missiles from Iran(which Biden had handed $billions, and lifted sanctions against) after Biden announced potential "Limited incursions were not a cause for US concern" Then the pipelines were blown up.

Russia uses their gas and oil as a weapon. Pipelines of either from Russia are instruments of political oppression and fund the Russian killing machine.

The House Judiciary Committee is calling CBS on the carpet over the firing of veteran reporter Catherine Herridge, who was probing the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, and the subsequent seizure of her personal records, The Post has learned. In a scathing letter sent to CBS News President Ingrid Ciprian-Matthews on Friday — obtained exclusively by The Post — Rep. Jim Jordan, who chairs the committee, demanded the network reveal who at CBS or parent-company Paramount Global “made the decision to terminate” Herridge. The committee said it also wants to know why her confidential files were “seized” as part of the termination.

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley has become one of the “better surrogates” for Democrats in 2024, California Gov. Gavin Newsom said Friday. Haley, who is Donald Trump’s last remaining GOP primary rival, has attacked the former president throughout the race, arguing that the 77-year-old is too old to serve another term White House and warning that his “chaos” will hurt Republican chances at the ballot boxes in November. “I think she’s one of our better surrogates, so I hope she stays in [the GOP primary race],” Newsom, 56, told CNN host Jake Tapper, arguing that her criticisms of the former president are “spot on.”

This segment was low-hanging fruit, but it’s always a good reminder to know your enemy's thoughts and end game. The Left's agenda items are often televised on MSNBC and CNN. MSNBC is by far the worst of the two, and ex-NBC News reporter Heidi Przybyla, now with Politico, demonstrated that Thursday night with her screed against Christianity. Of course, it was framed under the guise of Christian nationalism. Still, the commentary was very much grounded in mainstream concepts about where rights come from, as Thomas Jefferson is the person who wrote about what Przybyla found unsettling (via Mediaite):

Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley told Fox News this week that she sees herself as Republican voters’ alternative to frontrunner Donald Trump — if the former president’s legal challenges and GOP voters turn against him. Her one problem: Republican primary voters no longer see her that way. According to January’s national NBC News poll, 34% of Republican primary voters view Haley in a positive light, versus 36% who have a negative opinion of her (a -2 net rating).

Unsettling Post footage and interviews with US residents along the Canadian border offer a rare glimpse into the thriving migrant smuggling operation that has taken hold up north in addition to the debacle to the south. Residents of bucolic Swanton, Vt. — a town of about 6,500 people located just across Lake Champlain from New York and about a 10-minute drive from the Canadian border — have been getting a troubling firsthand look at the US’s northern illegal-migrant crisis for months. The town’s plentiful woods make the leafy hamlet an ideal spot for hunters — and also provide ample camouflage for smugglers,

Alpha News has reported the St. Louis Park School District will now allow parents to opt out of their children from any curriculum that promotes LGBTQ ideology. The move by the district comes after the First Liberty Institute and True North Legal sent a letter on behalf of six Muslim families that stated forcing Muslims to learn LGBTQ lessons is a violation of the First Amendment. The six families previously requested the school to notify them of when LGBTQ-centered lessons were being taught so they could opt their children out of those particular lessons.

Schools are just teaching honest history. That’s been the lie educators, teachers unions and the mainstream media have parroted for three years in response to the growing chorus of parents of all political stripes asserting schools are indoctrinating the nation’s children in critical race theory and leftist politics. Now the paper of record concedes we parents were right. In a front-page article in Friday’s New York Times, “Ethnic Studies Collides With Israel-Hamas War,” education reporter Dana Goldstein exposes the truth about K-12 education. The article is ostensibly about the blatant antisemitism embedded in California’s ethnic-studies curriculum, which must be in all public high schools by 2025 and a graduation requirement by 2030.

Donald Trump won’t face the corporate death penalty after all. A New York judge on Friday spared the ex-president that worst case punishment as he ruled in a civil case alleging Trump fraudulently misrepresented financial figures to get cheaper loans and other benefits. Still, Trump got slammed hard, facing big cash penalties, outside supervision of his companies and restrictions on his borrowing. In a pretrial ruling last year, the same judge threatened to shut down much of the Republican presidential front-runner’s business by calling for the “dissolution” of corporate entities that hold many of his marquee properties.

Do you think it is responsible for Democrats to put him at the top of the ticket given these concerns?” Newsom said, “I mean, what he’s done in three years, it’s been a masterclass. The still-strong crowd of supporters began to chant her first name, to which Haley said with a note of affection on what must be a difficult night to remain upbeat, "Y'all are a rowdy bunch, but I love that about you." First, California came for plastic straws. It did nothing meaningful for the environment, but it made lawmakers feel good — albeit at the expense of consumers. Now, the state could be coming for “single-use cups” at chain restaurants. It’ll do nothing for the environment, again, but it’ll make lawmakers feel good, again. Guess what it will do to your wallet, Californians? According to The Center Square, a conservative publication, Democrat Sen. Catherine Blakespear, who represents a district in the San Diego suburbs, has introduced Senate Bill 1167, which would require chain restaurants to stop using paper or plastic single-use beverage cups.

John Kerry: “Agriculture contributes about 33% of all the emissions of the world. And we can’t get to Net Zero—we don’t get the job done—unless agriculture is front and center as part of the solution. You just can’t continue to both warm the planet while also expecting to feed it. It doesn’t work. So, we have to reduce emissions from the food system.” What a dilemma. If we feed people, we will continue to warm the planet. If we continue to warm the planet, billions will die in 100 years from global warming because of the food we are eating now.
