Prince Harry is to be inducted alongside Apollo 11 hero Buzz Aldrin as a 'living legend' of aviation at a glitzy Beverly Hills ceremony hosted by John Travolta. The Duke of Sussex, 39, has been recognised ahead of the likes of Charles Duke--who became the youngest person to walk on the moon in 1972 when he was aged 36.[Snip]It is understood that his work with setting up the Invictus Games Foundation will also be celebrated, according to the awards. It is not clear whether Harry, or his wife Meghan Markle, will attend the ceremony.

Our entire society and our institutions have been totally corrupted. This is just one more example of the moral rot . . .

I guess the "Legend of Aviation" award has about the same "value" as the "Nobel Prize" does.
Ovomit got the "Nobel Prize" for the great "accomplishment" of not being George W. Bush. And hen-pecked Harry gets the "Legend of Aviation" award for doing the same job as countless other military pilots all over the world.
What a joke!!!

If he actually gets an award, he likely paid a lot for it. If I were Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, I wouldn't attend the award ceremony if Harry is going to be there.

I guess now affirmative action applies to a white person who is married to someone who is at least part black.

A joke. Silly and not unexpected in today's culture of celebrity, but still not outrageous like LBJ's Silver Star.

I know it’s funny but the Nobel Peace Prize for Obama showed us anything goes, right?

Oh please! How much is this purchased honor going to set him back (out of his billions)? Some doofus trying to curry favor with the former royal family. To what end?

Re#7: Neil Armstrong will definitely not be attending the ceremony. He passed in 2012. I agree with you, Buzz Aldrin should not attend.

It reminds me of when Obama was given the Nobel Peace Prize. The award is meaningless.

What are these people doing to our heroes? Is it a deliberate effort to demoralize our society. Harry was one of hundreds of soldiers who flew helicopters in Afghanistan and many never got home. What makes this guy special? This is disgusting. I have no beef with Harry. It is the whole mockery of our heroes.

Not true, #17. She was a 'yacht girl' prior to meeting 'airy on his friend's yacht. Yacht girls have a reputation.

Definitely a joke and typical of all hollywood awards. You know that Harry was protected from harm as much as possible and probably flew the mail in his helicopter while escorted by a lot of protection.
As opposed to somebody like Canadian Spitfire ace George Frederick Beurling who joined the RAF at age 18, had 31 kills against the Germans and could spot their planes from miles away.

What about William and Charles? Both flew helicopters in the military before Harry ever did. And one of them (can’t remember who) also flew “flat wing aircraft” for the RAF.

Didn't Harry fly a helicopter? Big Deal! I also did but all I got from it was a sore Rear End!
