After visiting all 99 counties in Iowa and failing to win a single one, specifically because he visited all 99 counties in Iowa, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis declared the dark, unknown and mysterious forces of universe tried to stop him, “threw everything at him,” yet he alone stands victorious.
Yeah, he actually said that.
The DeSantis campaign put most of their resources into Iowa and gained a total of 23,000 votes (roughly 21%), quickly declaring victory in a tenuous 2nd place finish and proclaiming their victory ticket has been punched. The cognitive disconnect is exceptionally strong; but hey, everyone has a role to play – right? WATCH:

In other news, the Dallas Cowboys, having been humiliated by the Green Bay Packers, are now planning to host a playoff game this weekend. Tickets are now on sale.

I have really liked DeSantis. His track record in Florida has been amazing. And I get that running for office while needing OPM (Other People's Money) often forces one to partner with the devil - I don't hold that against him. But why he ran AGAINST Trump NOW was just plain stupid. It isn't his time. Worse, he may have ruined his chances for '28 and beyond. Pride DOES goeth before the fall.

Up until Monday, DeSantis was projected to be as low as fourth. So, coming in second feels like a win.

In certain circumstances, I could vote for DeSantis. I could never, ever vote for Haley, or Vivek. I just cannot trust those two.
Haley is clearly the globalist puppet, a total whore to whoever pays her.
The Swamy......says exactly the right things, things that should be said to get them out in the open. But his past connection to Soros and total lack of any 'paper trail' or actual elected office experience where we could see what he would actually do when the rubber meets the road.....I just cannot trust him. I am done voting for guys who say the right things but have no history.
Look at Jeff Flake. He came in with zero history and embracing the Tea Party....and turned out to be a leftist in sheep's clothing. Now look at Dan Crenshaw. He says all the right things, but never, ever goes against the globalists when it matters. I am convinced that Crenshaw is a fraud like the Bushes, Flake and Haley.
Lots of folks are assigned by the CFR to play conservatives to prevent actual conservatives from getting into Congress, and to be ready to stab us in the back when a really important vote comes up.

I thought he said he'd drop out if he didn't win the Iowa caucus. Don't be a 'Brandon' DeSantis! I think he may have been given the impression that President Trump will be out of the picture soon, and that he'd be the GOPe's man.

The contest for representing the Never Trump cabal has been between Haley and DeSantis for 2nd place to Trump.
Haley has become the obvious selection of late. Each of them declared victory last night. DeSantis “won” in Iowa. Haley is touting New Hampshire “and forward”. So, they each feel like winners.
The phrase “the best laid plans of mice and men” comes to mind.

What do you expect him to say, "We got it handed to us." At least he beat Haley even with Democrat crossover votes, to be # 2 in Iowa.

I anticipate Ron will go through the NH and SC primaries before packing it in and endorsing Trump.
Haley could stick it out to the end.

if you kick out de Santis and then the donkeys Dipose of Trump, that leaves only Haley standing and she is the nominee. Do not do this. Sundance is too angry. Do not let Haley get to #2. Do not do that.

I agree that DeSantis over-performed, especially since Fox News turned on him in their love affair with Nikki. I do have a question for Nikki Haley about a “2 person race”. The Tampa Bay Bucs destroyed the Philadelphia Eagles Monday evening. I didn’t hear the Eagles say “it’s between us and the Detroit Lions next week..” - they lost, Nikki was “surging” we were told daily. DeSantis would be lucky to finish 4th, we were told. DeSantis remains our best alternative, in the event anything (including a Biden sanctioned assassination occurs) happens to Trump. He needs to be ready, Nikki is not ready. Think about it - she spent tens of millions and got 21,000 votes and half were Democrats who showed up and switched parties for an hour.

DeSantis is spinning the results. Big deal. It’s what politicians do: spin election results. It happens all the time in every election by all politicians including Trump. Of course it’s silly but silliness has been hand and glove with American presidential campaigns since the Harrison/Tyler campaign of 1840.

I'm another once was supporter of DeSantis. I admired his moves as Governor and thought of him as a possible presidential candidate down the road. I have become dissatisfied with him after he promised the voters he would not run for president if they put him back in as Governor, he lied. It took Trumps support to get him elected the first time and now he bad mouths the President. He has failed as a candidate and he has demonstrated he has bad political timing. Now he lies about if he doesn't win Iowa he'll quit. Twice a Liar who will believe anything he says now. Go be a governor man, that appears to be your level of competence.

Trump came in 2nd in Iowa against Cruz eight years ago. Never say never, but man Ron and the entire field of …ahem…characters got slammed, and I could not be happier about it!

Ron ... I love ya to death but you shot your wad. It's over. You lost. Don't get like those drunk and addicted gamblers who double their bets to "break even" as you'll lose even more money!
Endorse Trump ... say you will deliver Florida to him on a silver platter ... and then go be a great governor. You will earn the inside track for 2028!

Santimonious is a sad man...losing to President Trump by an historic 30 points is not winning...and never Nicki coming in third does not mean she had a good night....so let her think that New Hampshire' democrats and independents will cross over and support her so she'll win insures she will never run as a conservative for office in this country ever again....WE will always remember her selling out our MAGA movement....

I’m worried about Haley in the SC primary. We have open primaries here and I fear that Clyburn will spread the walking around money to his homies and get them to vote for Haley like he did for Pedo Joe in 2020. If she wins here, in reality, it will be meaningless for that reason but the enemedia will hype her “win” to death.

I watched his post-dismal loss appearance before his supporters. I too liked his performance. He was beginning to be called America’s Governor and in my opinion, richly deserved it. However, he flat-out lied to his voters saying was not going to run for POTUS and then when rumors started that he was, he denied it again. He has proven to be untrustworthy.
I thought his awkwardness even when among the small group of wonderful hard-working, probably half frozen lovely supporters was very odd. He just does not seem to “connect” warmly with people. I left that event feeling what on earth possessed he and wife he was ready to challenge Teflon Don?
