Re #5, do you not understand that NO "billions", in the sense of actual money, have been shipped to Ukraine? And the "billions" which are reported are fraud of the most transparent kind as far as the numbers. The real values of the surplus and old items shipped is only a fraction of the numbers reported, which are the cost to buy them new, many years ago. And they are NOT new. We ship old munitions nearing their end of 'shelf life' date to Ukraine to use rather than PAY someone to have them destroyed, and we spend billions replacing them. Those billions which we would pay ANYWAY are spent INSIDE THE USA on wages, materials, etc. for newer, updated, more modern capable weapons. In many cases we are sending various vehicles which we have used for 20-30 years, many in one or two wars, retired, parked in a storage yard for years or decades and which have also been years ago replaced by newer, modified, more capable vehicles for our military. We have routinely sold for a fraction of new cost and literally given away such vehicles to countries as foreign aide. This has happened for the last 70 years. Old weapons to friends. Stinger missiles have a shelf life of 15 years, artillery shells and other missiles have a similar shelf life. If we ship them to Ukraine at 10 or 12 years, and then replace them.....we are AT MOST purchasing the new items 3 to 5 years sooner than we otherwise would have had to do, and we are avoiding the costs associated with dismantling dangerous explosives and typically burning in the desert rocket motors and unstable high explosives. So, at best, we are giving up 20% to 30% of the life of said shells and missiles. NOT the entire new cost. A 12 year old artillery shell is fully functional, but it is certainly not "new" and it is unfair to claim a value of the original cost to purchase. Unlike what Evil Obama did with Iran, where he had literal cargo aircraft after cargo aircraft, filled with pallets of dollars and euros sent to the mullahs, to assist them in terrorism against Israel and in their development of nuclear weapons, we have sent NO pallets of cash to Ukraine. I am appalled at how easily people that I know to be intelligent people can be so easily propagandized, and can so happily swallow massive misinformation which favors Russia, one of our greatest and most evil enemies.

California governor Gavin Newsom proposed a $292 billion state budget for the 2024-2025 fiscal year, driving economists to wonder why he plans only $8.5 billion in real spending cuts against what the nonpartisan Legislative Analyst’s Office says is a projected $68 billion deficit. Mirabelli and West were put on administrative leave in May, but a judge ruled this week that the district must reinstate the teachers.

Over the last several years, the U.S. Military has struggled to meet recruitment goals across all branches, perhaps most of all with the Army. One of the reasons for this has now been explained. White men are no longer enlisting in the numbers they did in the past. Families which used to encourage young men to enlist are doing so in far fewer numbers for reasons which are obvious to many. New woke policies, the vaccine mandates and the embrace of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) policies mean white recruits are looked over for advancement in the US Military today.
