Dr. Anthony Fauci said he "did not recall" important information or conversations more than 100 times during his first day of a two-day transcribed interview with the House Coronavirus Select Subcommittee, but he also revealed major failures in the U.S. health system, Chairman Brad Wenstrup, R-Ohio, said. "Dr. Fauci's testimony today uncovered drastic and systemic failures in America’s public health systems," Wenstrup said Monday after Fauci, former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, met with the subcommittee earlier that day.

Shortly after taking office in 2021, President Joe Biden reversed President Donald Trump's designation of the Iran-backed Yemeni Houthis as a terror group.
In so doing, Biden spoke about the need to deal with the humanitarian disaster in Yemen at the time. The Trump administration believed that the Houthis had used violent campaigns to destabilize the region. The Houthis took over the Yemeni capital Sana'a in 2014 along with much of the northwestern region of the country. After emerging from three days outside of public view, Joe Biden will not be delivering a speech during his visit to Allentown. He will only be visiting a few local businesses.
