The Supreme Court put a roadblock in front of President Joe Biden's student loan forgiveness plans, but it has not stopped them.
Biden announced a massive student debt transfer totaling at least $400 billion in August 2022, only to see it struck down by the high court in June 2023. But since then, it has been full steam ahead for the Biden administration and its Education Department, with so many student debt actions taken over the last six months that it's hard even for experts to keep up with it all.

Even though Donald Trump is now the nation’s front-running presidential candidate in both polls and betting odds, the Colorado Supreme Court has issued a 4–3 decision that bans the citizens of Colorado from voting for him. The supposed grounds for their decision is that Trump can’t be the president under the U.S. Constitution’s 14th Amendment because he “engaged in insurrection on January 6, 2021.”
To support that claim, the Colorado judges—all appointed by Democrats—repeatedly quote Trump out of context to make it seem like he said things that he did not.

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs lost 20-17 to the Buffalo Bills in gut-wrenching fashion on Sunday. This was the Chiefs' third loss in their last four games and second on the trot. [snip] The Chiefs had seemingly taken the lead late in the game when Travis Kelce caught a pass from Mahomes and threw a lateral to wide receiver Kadarius Toney, who walked the ball into the endzone. However, the play was called back as Toney was flagged for an offside penalty.

The GOP-controlled Committee on House Administration’s Subcommittee on Oversight has established a Rumble channel and released the second batch of security video from Jan. 6 at the U.S. Capitol.
The first few videos were posted to the Rumble channel on Dec. 5. By the next day, the collection grew to 135 clips—each about 10 minutes long. The channel had nearly 700 followers on Dec. 7. [snip] Enthusiasm about the video rollout was tempered by the announcement that the subcommittee would blur any identifiable faces. [snip] That decision drew fire from both sides of the aisle and media across the political spectrum.

Proterra, which President Joe Biden once said was "making me look good," sold hundreds of electric buses to municipalities across North America. Every transit district Just The News spoke with, except one, has inoperable buses awaiting repairs. Across the country, towns and cities of various sizes envisioned an electrified public transit system that could shuttle residents with vehicles that produced no carbon-filled exhaust.
Many of those communities purchased buses from Silicon Valley-based Proterra, which was able to produce 550 buses over its 19-year existence before it went bankrupt in August.

On Oct. 12, Jake Lang passed a milestone: 1,000 days in jail without a trial. To mark the anniversary, he wanted to share with the American people "the horrific conditions of confinement," which he says he and many of his fellow Jan. 6 prisoners have had to endure.
"During this time, I've done 20 months of solitary confinement," Mr. Lang told The Epoch Times. "For 15 months of that, I wasn't allowed to have a haircut or a shave."
This was intentional, he said, to make Jan. 6 prisoners look like "homeless vagrants" or "deranged terrorists" during video court appearances.

Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., while announcing his 10-point plan to end the plastics pollution crisis, said he would ban fracking.
The process of fracking involves high pressure injections of liquid into underground rocks and layers to open fissures and extract oil or gas.
The United Nations says each year, 19-23 million tons of plastic waste leaks into waterways, polluting rivers, seas, and lakes. [snip] The move would also drive the price of oil above $150 per barrel, while killing state budgets for energy producing states.

A leading surgeon at the University of Alabama says that it will be medically possible for transgender women to give birth to their own children through the innovation of womb transplants in the near future.
Dr. Paige Porrett, the lead surgeon at the Comprehensive Transplant Institute at UAB, who specializes in womb transplants for women born without uteruses or have had hysterectomies, believes that doctors will be able to offer these same procedures to biological men that have transitioned into women, which would allow them to give birth, according to Daily Mail.

The Fulton County Clerk of Courts admitted to accidentally releasing the fourth indictment on former President Donald Trump. She said she pressed send instead of save on the document. "I am human," Ché Alexander told Channel 2's Tom Jones on Tuesday. She was apparently under a lot of pressure to make sure the process went smoothly and made the oncoming indictment public. Alexander told Jones that she wanted to get the indictment to the public as soon as possible. "And that's how the mishap happened," she said. "I have no dog in this fight," Alexander added.

Anheuser-Busch heir Billy Busch said he would be the first to buy back Bud Light should the beer’s parent company AB InBev want to sell it.
“If they don’t want that brand any longer, sell it back to the Busch family,” Busch told Outkick host Tomi Lahren. “Sell it to me. I’ll be the first in line to buy that brand back from you, and we’ll make that brand great again.” While appearing on Tomi Lahren is Fearless, Busch explained how disheartening it has been to watch the beer brand, which was so much a part of his childhood, lose its legacy of valuing its customers and employees.

I never cease to be amazed at the deceit Dem judges will engage in.
