Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs lost 20-17 to the Buffalo Bills in gut-wrenching fashion on Sunday. This was the Chiefs' third loss in their last four games and second on the trot. [snip] The Chiefs had seemingly taken the lead late in the game when Travis Kelce caught a pass from Mahomes and threw a lateral to wide receiver Kadarius Toney, who walked the ball into the endzone. However, the play was called back as Toney was flagged for an offside penalty.

Comments:

I hope this is an acceptable news source about cry-baby Mahomes.

He wasn't crying - he was cursing - over a call which until this year has almost never been made. That said, Toney screwed up by not looking at the line judge and asking if he was okay. What a tool. His stupidity ruined a beautiful, brilliant, game-winning play. Single-handedly, Toney lost the game.

Patrick, when your receiver lines up in the defensive backfield, it’s going to get called.

I’ve seen plenty of calls go KC’s way at crucial moments in the game. The flag was thrown as soon as the ball was snapped. Toney isn’t the first guy to get a stupid penalty and lose a game. I’m sure he won’t be the last.

Every WR from junior high football is taught to check with the official to confirm they're on the line of scrimmage. Usually all it takes is a nod.

KC has gotten plenty of "breaks" from the refs and the one time they didn't, there's a big dust up. Defecation occurs, Mahomes, get over it.

Kelce made and incredible catch and toss to another guy that won the game. The idgit Toney lined up off sides. Play called back and the next play Mahomes threw it in the dirt.

I didn't appreciate Mahomes' behaviour. You can bet if the call had gone his team's way, he'd be fine with it. The receiver was clearly offside.

Chiefs fan here since the first day they came to Kansas City. Patrick Mahomes is a class act. Never once have I seen him complain. Instead, he takes the blame, beats up on himself, and says he needs to do better. He even regrets what he said to Josh Allen after the game. Just about every team has had something to say about the terrible calls made by the refs. Mahomes is no crybaby, so he gets a pass from me. I also predict the Chiefs will once again be playing in next year's Super Bowl.

Proterra, which President Joe Biden once said was "making me look good," sold hundreds of electric buses to municipalities across North America. Every transit district Just The News spoke with, except one, has inoperable buses awaiting repairs. Across the country, towns and cities of various sizes envisioned an electrified public transit system that could shuttle residents with vehicles that produced no carbon-filled exhaust. Many of those communities purchased buses from Silicon Valley-based Proterra, which was able to produce 550 buses over its 19-year existence before it went bankrupt in August.

The United Nations says each year, 19-23 million tons of plastic waste leaks into waterways, polluting rivers, seas, and lakes. [snip] The move would also drive the price of oil above $150 per barrel, while killing state budgets for energy producing states.

Tucker Carlson’s latest episode of his show on X, formerly known as Twitter, aired Thursday and it certainly was a bang-up one. It featured an interview with former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund. As Tucker explained, he’d filmed an interview with Sund earlier in the year (when he was still working for Fox). It was scheduled to run on Monday, April 24, Carlson said. Then Carlson was let go from Fox that Monday morning and the interview never aired. Because the interview footage is owned by Fox, Tucker can’t run it. So instead he invited Sund to come on his X show and tell what he knew.

At the top of the list, of course, is climate change. The smarter people are pretty sure they’ve come up with the missing factor. Amazingly, the oceans in particular may be warming up because of… wait for it… cleaner air.

Ron DeSantis is running as the true-blue conservative in the race for the Republican presidential nomination. And he's learning the hard way that Republicans don't nominate true-blue conservatives. As Donald Trump leads every poll by double-digits, the Florida governor who seemed such a promising prospect just a year ago is now at risk of falling to third place. If Nikki Haley bests DeSantis in Iowa, his 2024 campaign won't be the only casualty; his hopes of ever becoming president will dim, and rivals won't fear him as they look to '28 or '32. How did DeSantis go from a 19-point reelection only a year ago to a fight for his political life today?
