In a letter from Dec. 19, every Democrat from Minnesota’s congressional delegation asked the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to prioritize aid to Somalia. Citing recent flooding and torrential rains in Somalia, the Democrats asked USAID to “keep aid to Somalia at the forefront of your operations.”

Oh the con is long and deep. In the 1960s it was observed that US government representatives were nothing more than receptors for lobbying for money and favors. Now it is blatant and excessive. I ask The Gullibles: there are endless needs in the world. How much of your LIFESTYLE are you willing to give up to try to satisfy them all? Must we all be victims of The Con?

Should have seen this coming. Minnesota has a vocal Somali population. Sounds like a good way to waste money. The federal government is expert at wasting money. No wonder we are so deep in debt. Wait until various Central America and South America populations start demanding federal aid for their home countries. If they want money for their home countries, they should return there. It's clear where their loyalties are.

Now, here's an opportunity to compromise. If the Minnesota Dems will sign on to the GOP US Border plans, I'm sure we can find a loose million or two for the Somalis. And we can even offer to have Rep. Omar travel (one-way) to make the aid delivery.

I told him at least our country doesn't smell like goat, well you know the thing. Maybe that aid the corrupt democrats are demanding could be used to make a better sewage system.

In a dramatic setback, House Republicans failed Tuesday to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, forced to shelve a high-profile priority — for now — after a few GOP lawmakers refused to go along with the party’s plan. The stunning roll call fell just a few votes short of impeaching Mayorkas, stalling the Republicans’ drive to punish the Biden administration over its handling of the U.S-Mexico border. With Democrats united against the charges, the Republicans needed almost every vote from their slim majority to approve the articles of impeachment. The House is likely to revisit plans to impeach Mayorkas, but next steps are highly uncertain.

President Joe Biden says a bill from Sens. James Lankford (R-OK), Chris Murphy (D-CT), and Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) is merely a precursor to ramming amnesty for millions of illegal aliens through Congress. During an address at the White House on Tuesday, Biden praised the Senate bill that would expand overall immigration to the United States by codifying his parole pipeline that has freed hundreds of thousands of border crossers into the nation’s interior. The bill would also increase legal immigration to the U.S., even as Biden has driven the nation’s foreign-born population to nearly 50 million — the largest ever in American history.
