Thousands of conservative-leaning Washington residents fled the deep blue state for neigboring Idaho, voter data published by the Gem State shows. Data published by the Idaho Secretary of State’s office shows that out of the nearly 119,000 people who recently moved to the state, 65% registered as Republicans, compared to just 12% registering as Democrats. The data, which was reviewed by Fox News Digital, show that out of the roughly 20,000 Americans who moved from Washington state to Idaho, 62% registered as Republicans, compared to 12% as Democrats, 24% as unaffiliated and 2% as "other."

You have to ask, why are those 12% dems leaving their liberal utopia for conservative Idaho? They have the paradise they've been voting for and stealing elections for. A better fit for them would be Oregon, where they would fit right in.

#2, that 12% are either government workers heading to Boise, or academics/teachers. They carry their blue baggage wherever they go. Every red state has their islands of blue in the big cities and universities. Almost impossible to stamp them out.

We've seen this before. Usually it is from New York or California. They move to a free(r) state and want to tell everyone how things were done back home. They act like missionaries rather than refugees. Believe it or not, New Mexico was a great place to live 30 years ago, before the swarms of Californians graced everyone with their wisdom and voting patterns.

This is more of the gradual mitosis of red and blue politics. Soon, as in Kurt Schlichter's various dystopian Kerry Turnbull novels, there will be only two countries: Red America for conservatives, and the "People's Republic" of blue voters. It's happening.

Not buying it. The vast majority are still leftists; They don't learn. Having fouled one nest, they will foul the next one. If they are registering as republicans, it is to get the farthest left republican candidates through the primaries, knowing that the natives of will elect a Republican.... They want to get a Mitt Romney, Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger type Republican in. Within a generation, (probably within a decade) of moving the system left, they will drop the pretense of being 'Republicans' and switch back to Democrat. Oh, I suppose a few of the leftist state refugees have learned their lessons and have become actual conservatives, but it has been my experience that California Refugees moving into my county have pulled it way left. In the last ten years we have gone from 77-80% voting for the Republican, to 63% in the last election.

I live in a fast growing city in Southern Utah. The influx of people from Commiefornia has given us demands for pride flags to be flown in the city and a lawsuit forcing the acceptance of drag queen shows. We had a non-binary person running for City Council. When my daughter and her boys were visiting, I took them down to the town square to see the beautiful monument for the Gold Star families and had to walk through a LGBQT+ festival to get to it. These freaks move to conservative areas and immediately start working to turn it into the s**thole they moved away from. It's disgusting.

Former President Donald Trump has expanded his lead over his GOP rivals with five weeks until the first Republican presidential nominating contest, now earning 51% first-choice support from likely Iowa caucusgoers, according to the latest NBC News/Des Moines Register/Mediacom poll. Trump’s lead — the largest recorded so close to a competitive Republican caucus in this Iowa poll’s history — is fueled by majorities of evangelical and first-time likely caucusgoers, as well as by nearly three-quarters of Republicans who believe Trump can defeat President Joe Biden next year despite the legal challenges the former president faces.

Before the draft resolution hit paper, the writing was on the wall. The US, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, was always going to veto any move for a ceasefire and they all knew it as a matter of fact. For some, it was a matter of regret. On his way into the chamber, France's ambassador to the UN, Nicolas de Riviere, put it this way: "A resolution failing because of veto is a failure of the UN Security Council." Mr de Riviere wanted more time to negotiate towards an agreement and spoke of the danger of driving "the Security Council car against the wall".

Politico concluded in 2013 that “amnesty for millions of illegal aliens would be an electoral bonanza for Democrats and cripple Republican prospects in many states they now win easily.” Van Jones threw a hissy fit in providing his, ahem, (mischaracterization) of Ramaswamy’s comments following the debate

Finally, almost two months later, CTH suspicions are confirmed {GO DEEP}. You might remember when the USS Carney intercepted 15 drones and cruise missiles in the Red Sea in October, we said something was sketchy about the Western media reporting on it. The political narrative (not from the Pentagon) was that the missiles were heading to Israel, but that didn’t pass the proverbial sniff test {GO DEEP ##2}. Given the nature of the political climate at the time, and accepting the limited range of Yemeni cruise missiles, CTH surmised the actual target of the October 19th attack was the U.S. naval fleet, not Israel.

The Supreme Court is hearing arguments over a nationwide settlement with OxyContin maker Purdue Pharma that would shield members of the Sackler family who own the company from civil lawsuits over the toll of opioids. The agreement hammered out with state and local governments and victims would provide billions of dollars to combat the opioid epidemic. The Sacklers would contribute up to $6 billion and give up ownership, and the company would emerge from bankruptcy as a different entity, with its profits used for treatment and prevention. But the justices put the settlement on hold during the summer, in response to objections from the Biden administration. Arguments take place Monday.

Ron DeSantis is running as the true-blue conservative in the race for the Republican presidential nomination. And he's learning the hard way that Republicans don't nominate true-blue conservatives. As Donald Trump leads every poll by double-digits, the Florida governor who seemed such a promising prospect just a year ago is now at risk of falling to third place. If Nikki Haley bests DeSantis in Iowa, his 2024 campaign won't be the only casualty; his hopes of ever becoming president will dim, and rivals won't fear him as they look to '28 or '32. How did DeSantis go from a 19-point reelection only a year ago to a fight for his political life today?
