Court challenges to keep Trump off 2024
election ballots begin in two states

A legal effort to use the Constitution's "insurrection" clause to block former President Donald Trump from running for office in 2024 is becoming a more serious threat as hearings begin in two states over cases that could reach the highest court. A weeklong hearing begins in Colorado on Monday over a lawsuit that cites the Civil War-era provision of the 14th Amendment that blocks those who swore an oath to uphold the Constitution and later "engaged in insurrection" from holding higher office. Oral arguments over a similar question also start at the Minnesota Supreme Court on Thursday.

No correlation, but no one ever stopped Gus Hall but the voters, and he was General Secretary of the Communist Party USA. He ran in 1972, 1976, 1980, and 1984.

Who is that is destroying Democracy? That would be Democrats/Liberals who want to prevent a former president from running for office.

As we know, this was one of Obama's old tricks. He would get the opponent disqualified or discredited and then glide to victory. Biden is trying the same thing with the Democrat primaries for 2024.

We must classify these quixotic unconstitutional efforts to determine the makeup of the 2024 Republican presidential ticket as election interference. Clearest case I've ever seen. Now, how are these rogue prosecutors going to be dealt with? Disbarment, at least. Jail for the most egregious of the out of control prosec--persecutors.

They seem to be using a very loose definition of insurrection considering NO ONE has been charged with insurrection from the J6 "matter". Interestingly, i doubt he would win either state, and wonder if he wasn't on either ballot if those running in the state would find less obstacles for winning a House or Senate seat.

Five members of the NYPD’s elite Bomb Squad are suing the city for $75 million, claiming their careers were ended by the COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The officers, all with decades of experience, said they’ve lost out on a “full pension, with annual interest, and health benefits” after they were fired in 2022 for refusing to get the jab. /snip/ The mandate was blasted by workers who said it was unfair, and it’s been the subject of numerous lawsuits. About 1,780 workers were fired for refusing to get vaccinated. The Bomb Squad officers “paid a heavy price for refusing compulsory vaccination, while every other unvaccinated person paid no price at all,”

Muslim Democrats Andre Carson, Rashida Tlaib, and Ilhan Omar say they are “horrified” by GOP plans that would halt Palestinian legal immigration to the United States. This week, Rep. Ryan Zinke (R-MT) and other House Republicans introduced legislation to ban the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) from providing green cards, visas, refugee status, and parole to Palestinians. Zinke’s legislation also would revoke visas for Palestinians in the United States, thus making them eligible for deportation. “This legislation keeps America safe,” Zinke said of the legislation. “I don’t trust the Biden Administration any more than I do the Palestinian Authority to screen who is allowed to come into the United States.”

Instead of moving forward and returning to normalcy, health officials double down on precautionary measures to “limit the spread of RSV, the flu and COVID.” This month, Santa Clara County decided that everyone — patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers alike — must don the all-too-familiar face masks in public patient care areas in hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. This directive is not for a week or a month but for the entire “winter respiratory virus period,” Mercury News reported. This mandate is slated to span from November 1 to the end of March.
