Republican Jeff Landry won a landslide election on Saturday to flip the Louisiana governor’s mansion red in one of three main gubernatorial elections this year, shocking political observers with a victory that saves him the trouble of having to face a Democrat in a November runoff.
Landry defeated Democrat Shawn Wilson and the rest of the field in Louisiana’s gubernatorial election, winning about 52 percent of the vote. In Louisiana, governor elections are first open to a full field of all candidates from either party in what is known as a jungle primary—and then the two top vote-getters generally advance to a runoff a month later. But if a candidate

The Democrats must have been saving their vote fraud maneuvers for the expected runoff. Surprise.

I fear that won't be the case in Kentucky. Andy Beshear has pulled the wool over too many voters eyes.

FTA: ~~ "Landry’s win is also a clear win for former President Donald Trump, who endorsed Landry and was actively encouraging his supporters in Louisiana to vote for him in the governor’s race.
In an appearance on Breitbart News Saturday on SiriusXM 125 the Patriot Channel this summer, Landry predicted that a gubernatorial victory for Republicans in Louisiana this year would be a shot in the arm for Trump’s presidential prospects next year–and that electing people like him as governors in states nationwide will help with Trump’s vision of trying to “Make America Great Again.” ~~

It has taken three years but many eyes have been opened to the weakness and stupidity of the democrats at the city, state and federal levels. Let's hope it's enough to defeat the cheating machine.

The odd thing was losing the governor's mansion to Edwards in a close race. I hand delivered my paper ballot to vote for Landry. I will NEVER vote on a Dominion machine again.
I have to disagree #3. We have two republican senators in name only. Bill Cassidy is a democrat that masqueraded as a R to get elected. And my R in the house, Garret Graves is so bad that I plan to vote for his opponent to get him out.

This isn wonderful. The Fascist candidate is a quota. And I guarantee in a runfff the fascist would have pulled the slavery card. Last election, The current white fascist was in a tough race with a novice Rebublican. As expected the fascist claimed the Republican would bring back slavery and an unusually high percent of black votes carried the fascist to victory. Thus ensuring more race baiting, no action on tax reforms, constitutional carry, liability reform, insurance reform, and regulation reform. Oh, and tranny protection, grooming and DIE )diversity, Inclusion Equity) in schools

Let's think of this as a step down the right road...and not dwell on the negativity that the biden/obama joke of a government is foisting on Americans....victory over evil is a difficult task...but... not impossible....so the FBI agent strock and his lady of the evening can not have an insurance policy this election of 2024....

He did a very effective outreach to black voters and they helped him avoid a runoff.
He spoke to black concerns about crime.
He appealed to socially conservative blacks
He promised not to rollback the Medicaid expansion.

I wonder if the lunatic leftist TV talking heads will ridicule President Trump's endorsement of Landry - - the same way they ridiculed his endorsement of Jim Jordan for Speaker?
No - - they'll probably offer their profuse apologies. Humble and tearful. Yes - - I'm absolutely sure they will.

So only 34.48% of the voting populace in Louisiana voted for Dems or Independent or No party affiliation candidates.
That means 65.52% voted for Republican candidates with President Trump's endorsed candidate winning outright. Impressive.
And New Zealand just voted in a Conservative PM.
Let's hope these are signs of good things to come.

Landry got almost 52 percent of the vote. Another Republican got almost 6 percent. There were 6 Republicans in the race and two Democrats. The leading Democrat candidate got about 26 percent. The three leading Republicans got over 62 percent of the vote (Over 65+ percent went Republican). The two Democrats combined got 28.5 percent.
