House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that “informal conversations” are taking place for a bipartisan solution to the House speakership.
Anchor Kristen Welker said, “Are you actually having conversations behind the scenes with the Republican counterparts about trying to create a bipartisan solution, a governing coalition?” Jeffries said, “There are informal conversations that have been underway. When we get back to Washington tomorrow, it’s important to begin to formalize those discussions.”

Nah . . . Republicans would never be dumb enough to fall for this. Oh, wait . . .

Shall we take bets on how long before Jeffries becomes speaker, aided by Republicans who swear they are working for the good of the country?
Then when he pushes the socialist agenda, they'll say,"But he promised us..."

By ‘informal conversations’ Jeffries means back room deals to help the deep state RINO’s keep a true conservative out of the Speaker’s chair. Please contact your Representatives. Losing re-election is the only thing they fear.

No Democrat ever, and that means EVER yammered on and on about bipartisanship until that Democrat knew he was up the river without an oar, without a life vest, without a map and for that matter, without a boat. Re-read his comments here with the sure knowledge that he is just puffing.

Well, if 217 Republicans would do what we elected them to do, there would be no need for this even to be considered. They should have walked out of that caucus room 100% committed to support whoever won that vote.

Sounds like McCarthy is negotiating a deal for the deep swamp, of which he is a charter member, to retake the speakers gavel.

Goetz and the principaled gang of 8 have managed to accomplish the exact opposite of what their principled opposition was supposed to bring about. This is what happens when you launch a palace coupe with no plan or a majority.
Congratulations! You needed the Democrats to accomplish your coupe, and now the Democrats get to call the shots to bail out the stupid party.

The way things have been going, don’t be surprised if a bipartisan group of Uni-Party Democrats and RINOS don’t get together to change the House rules and elect Hakeem Jefferies as the next Speaker, thus insuring that the Biden impeachment inquiry is shut down.

Don't lose sight of the fact that whoever wins the Speakership is third in line to the presidency behind a feeble geriatric and a giggling moron. There is more at stake here than just an impeachment.
